Mary Louise Hinchliffe McClung
Mrs. Mary Louise Hinchliffe McClung, age 83, of Locust Grove, Georgia died March 6, 2006. Mrs. McClung was born
November 21, 1922 in Manchester, the daughter of the late Sarah Florence Copeland and Dallas C. Hinchliffe. She was a member of Locust Grove Baptist Church. She was a devoted homemaker who loved her family, flowers, gardening and cooking. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Max McClung in 1988.
She is survived by her children, Deborah Salguero of Stone Mountain, Pamela Storey of Locust Grove, Sharon Lamb and husband Jim of Jackson, Leesa Brooks of Conyers; grandchildren, Karen McMeans, Cassie Cushing, Kimberly Morgan, Jessica Storey, Russell Smith Jack Brooks; great-grandchildren, Cori McMeans and Alexander McMeans.
Services were held March 9 in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home. Interment Locust Grove Cemetery. Haisten Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Lonnie E. Wilson, Sr.
Lonnie E. Wilson, Sr. age 69, of Stockbridge, Georgia died March 7, 2006. Mr. Wilson was born
in Atlanta, the son of the late Mahlon Newton and Nellie Smith Wilson. He was an Army veteran and worked in heating and air conditioning for 50 plus years. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Thomas Wilson, James Wilson, and Frank Wilson.
He is survived by his loving wife, Zoraetta Wilson of Stockbridge; children, Lonnie (Sue) Wilson, Jr. of Jonesboro, Randy (Mary) Wilson of McDonough, Tina (Chuck) Duncan of McDonough; sisters, Thelma Huff of McDonough, Bonnie Chastain of Conyers, Laverne Holcombe of McDonough, Annette Moss of Newnan; and 7 grandchildren.
Services were held March 11 in the chapel of Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors. Interment Locust Grove Cemetery. Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements.
Willi Boelsterli
Willi Boelsterli, age 68, of Hampton, Georgia died February 23, 2006. Mr. Boelsterli was born
May 15, 1937 in Switzerland, the son of the late Wilhelm and Nina Mosli Boelsterli. He served in the Swiss Army, worked for Eastern Airlines for 19 years, retired from Roadway Trucking, and was a member of Liberty Hill Baptist Church. He loved gardening and photography.
He is survived by his wife, Jewel Boelsterli of Hampton; daughter, Katrina and Martin Howard of Mt. Shasta, California; son, Michael and Melanie Boelsterli of Hampton; grandchildren, Morgan and Ethan Boelsterli; brothers, Kurt and Margrit Boelsterli and Ruedi and Elsi Boelsterli of Switzerland.
Services were held February 27 at Liberty Hill Baptist Church, with Rev. Michael Henderson and Rev. Jeff Gongwer officiating. Interment Liberty Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Please make contributions to Liberty Hill Baptist Church Building Fund in memory of Mr. Boelsterli. Haisten Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
James Carl McKee
James Carl McKee, age 85, of Dacula, Georgia died February 23, 2006. Mr. McKee was born
and raised in Henry County and retired from Nabisco after 43 years of service. He was a member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church and a veteran of WWII.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Bankston McKee; son, John Wayne McKee and wife Pamela of Lawrenceville; son, Charles Madison McKee and wife Laura of Ellijay; grandchildren, Steve and Greg McKee and Chrissy Bain; three greatgrandchildren; brother, Bun McKee of Tucker; and many loving family members and friends.
Services were held February 25, at Ward’s Fairview Chapel, with Reverend Ron Capes officiating. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. Horis A. Ward Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Deborah Adamson
Deborah Adamson, age 53, of Locust Grove, Georgia died February 24, 2006. Mrs. Adamson was born
in College Park, the daughter of James Hulan and Evelyn Florine Mann Grizzard. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who enjoyed life with her family.
She is survived by her husband, James Stephen Adamson of Locust Grove; children, Brad Adamson of Covington, Shelley Baker of Hampton, Kerri Williams of Locust Grove; brother, Phil Grizzard of Jonesboro; sister, Betty Greer of Austell; and seven grandchildren.
Services were held February 28 in the chapel of Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors, with Rev. Johnny Greer and Mr. Ray Groover officiating. Interment Eastlawn Memorial Gardens. Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements.
James H. Pritchett
James H. Pritchett, age 81, of McDonough, Georgia died February 25, 2006. Mr. Pritchett was born
March 15, 1924 in Bibb County, the son of the late James Franklin and Lois Cobb Pritchett. He served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps during WWII, and was wounded at Iwo Jima. He retired after 40 years with Bristol-Meyers and was a member of St. James the Apostle Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Barbara Bryson.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Alice Pritchett of McDonough; son, Michael and Janice Pritchett of McDonough; grandchildren, Jennifer and Matthew Pritchett; brother, Bob Pritchett of Louisiana; son-in-law, Jerry Bryson of Lawrenceville; nieces and nephews.
Funeral mass was held February 28 at St. James the Apostle Catholic Church, with Father John Murphy as Celebrant. Interment Floral Hills Memory Gardens. Haisten Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Grace Lois Lovett Summerlin
Grace Lois Lovett Summerlin, age 90, of Locust Grove, Georgia died February 26, 2006. Mrs. Summerlin was born
June 25, 1915 in Wrightsville, the daughter of the late Erwin A. and Lena Parker Lovett. She was a beautician for many years.
She is survived by her children, Judy and Bill Hudson of Locust Grove, Betty Grace Barker of Sandersville, Wayne and Lucy Summerlin of Norcross; 14 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.
Services were held March 1 at Brownwood Cemetery
in Sandersville, with Mike Register officiating. Haisten Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Gary Brooks
Gary Brooks, age 48, of Stockbridge, Georgia died February 27, 2006. Mr. Brooks was born
in Atlanta, the son of the late John D. and Carolyn Grimes Lord.
He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Sherry D. Brooks; son, Gary Michael Brooks, Jr.; and daughter, Carolyn Brooks, all of Stockbridge; sisters, Kay (Luke) Phillips of Hampton; Wanda (Dale) McAuliffe of Jackson; Sharon (Glenn) Dukes of Arkansas; and several nieces and nephews
Services were held March 2 in the chapel of Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors, with Rev. Edward Luther Phillips, II officiating. Interment Crossroads Baptist Church Cemetery. Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements.
James Harold Nutt, Jr.
James Harold Nutt, Jr., age 84, of Luella, Georgia died February 27, 2006. Mr. Nutt was born
March 9, 1921 in Henry County, the son of the late Frances Dorsey and James Harold Nutt Sr. He was a life-long farmer who was recognized for his soil conservation practices, having been one of the pioneers of no-till planting in Henry County. He was also among the first farmers in the region to plant soybeans. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and was an excellent cook. He attended the University of Georgia and Gordon Military College. He served his country for four years as a U.S. Naval Merchant during WWII. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joan Maddox Nutt in March of 2005.
He is survived by his children, Janis Nutt and Mitchell Rapp of Raleigh, North Carolina, Jim and Maria Nutt of Marietta, John Nutt and Lesa Payne of Locust Grove; daughter-in-law, Pam Nutt of Locust Grove; grandchildren, Patrick and Kim Nutt, Jared Nutt, Laurin Nutt, Joe Nutt and Charlotte Nutt; two greatgrandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Lloyd Chiles of Grapeland, Texas ; sister-in-law, Sara Goldenberg of Manchester; several nieces and nephews.
Services were held March 3 at the McDonough City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Henry County Scholarship Foundation, P.O. Box 880, McDonough, Georgia, 30253. Haisten Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Frances B. Phillips
Frances B. Phillips, age 80, of McDonough, Georgia died February 28, 2006. Mrs. Phillips was born
in East Point, the daughter of the late John Frank and Jonnie Archer Brown. She was a resident of McDonough for 60 years and was a member of McDonough Covenant Fellowship, now Southside Christian Fellowship. She was preceded in death by her husband, Aaron Jackson Phillips in 1986; and son, Kenny Phillips in 1998.
She is survived by her daughter, Joan Schweitzer of Canton; son, Dennis Phillips of Lawrenceville; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Services were held March 2 in the chapel of Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors, with Rev. Eddie Mason officiating. Interment Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery. Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements.
