Mr. Frank Eugene “Gene” Anderson
Frank Eugene “Gene” Anderson, 86, was born and raised in Atlanta and passed away in his home February 7, 2008.
He served in the US Navy in WW II.
Mr. Anderson was a loving husband of Tommie Lou Daniel Anderson and Triever Anderson.
He was a member of Lakewood Masonic Lodge and retired from Arrow Shirt Company.
He was also a master wood worker.
He was preceded in death by wives Tommie Lou Anderson and Triever Anderson; and sons Rodney and Danny Anderson.
He is the father of three surviving children daughter and son-in-law Toni and John Hozey, daughter and son-in-law Tami and Ted Kemberling, and son Wayne Anderson; the proud Grandfather of five grandchildren Shane Hozey, Lindsay Edge of Grovetown, Greg Anderson, Luanna and Ted E. Kimberling of Fayetteville; three great grandchildren Shelby, Cody Hozey and L.B. Edge of Grovetown; 2 special brothers-in-law Ronnie and Gary Daniel and numerous other family members.
Funeral Services will be held Sunday, February 10, 2008 at 4:00 PM in the Chapel of C.J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville with Rev. Mark Westmoreland officiating.
Interment will be at Forest Park City Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 5-7 PM at the funeral home.

Jeppie Anne McKay Barnes
Mrs. Jeppie Anne McKay Barnes, age 78 of Riverdale, GA passed away on July 25, 2008.
Mrs. Barnes worked as a secretary for many years at Riverdale Radiator.
She is predeceased by her husband Robert Earl Barnes.
Survivors include her son Mike (Debra) Barnes of Jonesboro; daughter Robbie Richardson of Riverdale; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brother Charles McKay of McDonough; sisters Jean Vick of Douglasville, and Grace McKay of Rome, GA.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday July 28, 2008, 11:00 AM in the Chapel of the Carl J. Mowell and Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville with Ron Dodson officiating.
Interment will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, College Park.
The family will receive friends on Sunday July 27, 2008, 4:00 to 7:00 PM. at the funeral home.

Mary C. Cochran
Mrs. Mary C. “Cappie” Cochran of Peachtree City died on July 24, 2008.
Mrs Cochran was the former owner/operator of Cappie’s Florist in Peachtree City and was a member of the Peachtree City First Presbyterian Church.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday August 2nd at 4:00pm at the Peachtree City First Presbyterian Church.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service.

Mary Elizabeth Langley Adams
ADAMS, Mary Elizabeth Langley Adams of Peachtree City, GA passed away on July 25th at the age of 87.
She was a charter member of the Wieuca Road Baptist Church and a member of the First Baptist Church of Peachtree City.
She served as patient administrator at the Emory University Clinic and later owned and operated the Teeny Tiny Tots Nursery, Inc.
Mrs. Adams is survived by her daughters, Kay Adams Jordan and her husband James, Jane Adams Young and her husband Ken, Pam Adams Barrett and her husband David; grandchildren, Brooke Adams Lopes, Heather Barrett Downing, Jennifer Wren Poteet, Stephen James Barrett, Jonathan David Barrett; great-grandchildren Matthew Lopes, Morgan Downing, and sister Dorothy Langley Crowson.
Funeral services will take place at 10:00 am on Tuesday July 29, 2008 in the Peachtree City Chapel of Carl J. Mowell and Son Funeral Home with Dr. George Dillard officiating.
Interment will be in Westview Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday July 28th from 6-8pm.

Lawrence Leidig
Mr. Lawrence Leidig of Palmetto passed away July 21, 2008.
Mr. Leidig was cremated and there are no plans for memorial services at this time.

Jeffery Robert Hart
Jeffery Robert Hart, 52, of Milner died July 21, 2008.
He was retired from the Clayton County Probation Department after 27 years of service.
He was preceded in death by his parents Bernard and Marion Hart and brother Jimmy Hart.
Mr. Hart is survived by his brothers Jay and Catherine Hart of Jonesboro, Jerry and Diane Hart of Woodstock, and Jack Hart of Woodstock.
Visitation will be held Friday, July 25, 2008 from 6:00 to 7:30 PM at the C.J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville with a Rosary at 7:30.
Mr. Hart will be cremated.

Dr. Alvin A. Shure
Dr. Alvin A. Shure, October 10, 1914 – July 19, 2008.
His family and friends lost an extraordinary and talented man.
Dr. Alvin A. Shure, age 93, who went to join his beloved wife on Saturday, July 19, 2008.
Dr. Shure was born in Yonkers, NY in 1914 and attended schools in Roanoke, VA.
He graduated from the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill in 1940 and Atlanta Southern Dental Collage (now Emory University) in 1943.
He served in the military for two years during World War II under General Patton’s Third Army in the Army Medical Corps. Dr. Shure married his love, the former Shirlyan Goldberg on August 3, 1945, in Boston, MA. He opened his first dental practice in Savannah, GA and moved to Atlanta in 1967, actively practicing his profession until the age of 89. During the course of his life he was known as the golfing Santa Claus by opening his home and dental office as a yearly Toys for Tots location. Dr. Shure had a wonderful sense of humor and wrote hilarious columns for local newspapers throughout his life.
He was also a published humorist in major magazines including Esquire, The New Yorker and The Saturday Evening Post throughout the 50 and 60’s.
He was always ready with a joke and a laugh and endeared himself to many friends.
He and Shirl moved to Peachtree City approximately 18 – 20 years ago so he could indulge his passion for golf.
He was a member of many civic organizations including the Kiwanis Club of Peachtree City.
Dr. Shure is survived by daughters, Sharon Shure of Peachtree City, Sherylan Lipham of Ellenwood; son, Al Shure of Tucker; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
All of us will miss him sorely.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday July 26 at 11 AM in the chapel of Carl J. Mowell & Son.
