DALTON, Ga. - Taylor N. Whitener died Friday, Jan. 15, 1999, at his home. He was 58.
He was an employee of Kroger with 18 years of service and was preceded in death by his mother, Jewell Whitener, and stepfather, George Burgess.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia Whitener; one daughter, Connie Whitener, Dalton; two sons, David Whitener, Chatsworth, Ga., and Randy Whitener, Dalton; one brother, Charles Whitener, Dalton; three stepbrothers, Homer Burgess, Alabama, Clayron Burgess, Chattanooga, and Wayne Burgess, Cartersville, Ga.; and four grandchildren.
Services will be at today at 2 p.m. at Love Funeral Home with the Rev. Willie Bearden and Tim Douglas officiating.
Burial will be in West Hill Cemetery.
Walter Williams
FAIRMOUNT, Ga. - Walter Alvin Williams died Friday, Jan. 15, 1999 in a hospital there. He was 68.
He was retired from the printing business, a member of Sonoraville Baptist Church and the father of the late Nathan Williams.
Survivors include his wife, Jaqueline Williams; one daughter, Ann Carter, Baton Rouge, La.; three sons, Walter Williams Jr., Eric Williams, Canton, Ga., and Bill Williams, Baton Rouge, La.; stepdaughter, Janet Hopkins, Dublin, Calif.; stepson, Gary Dean, Fairfax, Va.; sister, Mildred Macaluso, Solon, Ohio; brother, Paul Williams, Birmingham, Ala.; 13 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
There will be so services at the funeral home.

Louise Miller
DALTON, Ga. - Louise Thomas Miller died Friday, Jan. 15, 1999, at her home.
She was the widow of Fred Miller.
Survivors include one daughter, Joyce Miller, Dalton; one son, Tom Miller, Dalton; and four grandchildren.
Services will be today at 3 p.m. at Center Point Baptist Church with the Rev. George Ross officiating.
Burial will be in Center Point Cemetery.

GORDON SPRING, Ga. - Dallas D. Hayes died Saturday, Jan. 16, 1999. He was 92.
He was retired from Duane Chair Factory and was preceded in death by two wives, Lucy Hayes and Eunice Hayes.
Survivors include his daughter, Dolly Henderson, Rocky Face, Ga.; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Erwin Crider and the Rev. Bruce Beach officiating.
Burial will be in Dunagan Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. today at Kenemer Brothers Funeral Home in Dalton, Ga.

Aleen Costello
DALTON, Ga. - Aleen B. Costello died Saturday, Jan. 16, 1999, at her home. She was 73.
She was a member of Midway Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Michael Costello; and sister, Coreen Jones, Scottsboro, Ala.
Services will be Monday at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Houston Allen officiating.
Burial will be in West Hill Cemetery.

Lois Barkley
LaFAYETTE, Ga. - Lois Namore Barkley died Saturday, Jan. 16, 1999, in a hospital there. She was 78.
She was a member of LaFayette Second Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Johnny Barkley; one daughter, Mary Pickard, LaFayette; two sisters, Mayola Comer and Katherine Taylor, LaFayette; four grandchildren;, four great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Wallis-Wilbanks Funeral Home with Dr. Woody Lee officiating.
Burial will be in LaFayette Cemetery.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Nora Bates
Nora Ellen Menz Bates of Rossville, Ga., died Friday, Jan. 15, 1999, at a Nashville, Tenn., area hospital. She was 72.
A resident of Rossville for the past 12 years, she was a former resident of Laverne, Calif.
She was preceded in death by her son, Paul Edward Hanners.
Survivors include her husband, Harvey Bates, Rossville,; one daughter, Barbara Ellen Spaulding, Hesperia, Calif.; two sons, David Leon Edwards, Chino, Calif., and Thomas T. Edwards, Mesa, Calif.; three sisters, Bessie Elizabeth Dudley, Burfordsville, Mo., Sara Jane James, Chaffee, Mo., and Katie Mae Magruder, Kankakee, Ill.; one brother, Edward Adam Menz, Wilmongton, Ill.; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Lakewood Memory Gardens-East.
The family will receive friends Monday after 2 p.m. at the funeral home.

Alexander Clements
Alexander Lee Clements of Rossville, Ga., died Saturday, Jan. 16, 1999 at his home. He was 5.
He was a student at East Ridge Elementary School and was a member of the East Ridge Church of God.
Survivors include his parents, Jason and Lisa Fairbanks Clements; maternal grandmother, Edna Fairbanks, Ooltewah; maternal grandfather, Bobby Fairbanks, Chattanooga; paternal grandparents, Edward and Kila Gassaway, Rossville; maternal great-grandfather, Eugene H. Fairbanks, Ooltewah; maternal great-grandmother, Marie Hobby, Atlanta, Ga.; and one brother, Jacob Clements, Rossville.
Funeral arrangements will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home in Fort Oglethorpe, Ga. with the Rev. Terry Harris officiating.
The family will receive friends Monday from noon to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
