Lucille Day
DALTON, Ga. - Lucille Callahan Burns Day, who owned and operated Lucille's Grocery on South Dixie Highway in the Five Springs community for 56 years, died Sunday, Feb. 14, 1999. She was 81.
Survivors include one daughter, Laraine Thompson, Dalton; one son, Bill Burns, Dalton; three sisters, Ida Wallace and Dot Trammell, both of Dalton, and Gladys Carder, Wilsonville, Ala.; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be today at 11 a.m. at Love Funeral Home with the Rev. Doug Jordan officiating.
Burial will follow in West Hill Cemetery.
Bishop Ellison
DALTON, Ga. - Bishop C.H. Ellison died Monday, Feb. 15, 1999, in a local hospital.
He was the chief bishop of the Overcoming Churches of God.
He was preceded in death by his son, Elder Dennis Ellison.
Survivors include his wife, Mother Inest Ellison; one daughter, Elder Odessa Taylor; two sons, Charlie Ellison, all of Dalton, and Willie Ellison, Atlanta; and one sister, Julia McGhee, Carrollton, Ga.

Ernest Fletcher
DALTON, Ga. - Ernest E. Fletcher died Sunday, Feb. 14, 1999, in a Georgia hospital. He was 85.
Services will be held today at 2 p.m. at Love Funeral Home in Dalton with the Rev. Bret Yaeger and the Rev. Ron McKinney officiating.
Burial will be in Richardson Cemetery.
Mary Harris
RINGGOLD, Ga. - Mary Harris died Monday, Feb. 15, 1999, at a local health care facility. She was 93.
She was a member of Ringgold United Methodist Church and a member of the J O Y Sunday School Class and the United Methodist Women.
She was a graduate of Rockville Academy, the first rural consolidated school in Georgia. It was the first accredited High School in Georgia and the first rural vocational school. She then attended Georgia State College for Women.
She was a school teacher at Tunnel Hill Elementary School and retired from Ringgold Elementary School as a fourth grade teacher.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Max Lowell Harris; one brother, Roy Butts; and one sister, Annie Lorie Butts.
Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Wallis-Stewart Funeral Home, Ringgold, with the Rev. Scobbie Branson and the Rev. John Whatley officiating.
Burial will be Thursday in Eatonton, Ga.
Memorial contributions can be made to Ringgold United Methodist Church.
The family will receive friends today from 2 to 4 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mamie Ludy
SUMMERVILLE, Ga. - Mamie O. Ludy died Sunday, Feb. 14, 1999, in a hospital in Marietta, Ga.
She was a member of the Highway 27 North Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Magnaest V. Ludy.
Arrangements will be announced by Willis Funeral Home, Dalton.
Leonia Massingill
DALTON, Ga. - Leonia Massingill died Sunday, Feb. 14, 1999, at her home. She was 75.
She was the widow of George A. Massingill.
Survivors include three daughters, Barbara Newberry, Ellijay, Ga., Carolyn Hagin and Donna Frazier, Dalton; her mother, Bertha Thomas Hooper, Calhoun; three brothers, Dewey, Melvin, and Fred Hooper, all of Tunnel Hill; two sisters, Carmine Nichols, Tunnel Hill, and Evaline Hobbs, Sugar Valley; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Ponders Funeral Home with the Rev. Danny Goss officiating.
Burial will be in Antioch Cemetery.
Visitation will be today after 4 p.m. at the funeral home.
C.J. Pinson
DALTON, Ga. - C.J. Pinson died Monday, Feb. 15, 1999, in an area hospital. He was 88.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth Apperson Pinson; one son, Bill Pinson, Chattanooga; two sisters, Nancy Jenkins, Corinth, Miss., and Clarkie Grant, Cleveland, Tenn.; six brothers, Hugh Pinson, Chattanooga, Alton Pinson, Martin, Ga., Charles Pinson, Lithonia, Ga., Walter Pinson, Colorado Springs, Colo., Marvin Pinson, San Antonio, Texas, and Carl Pinson, Cartersville, Ga.; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at First Baptist Church with Dr. Billy T. Nimmons officiating.
Burial will be in Whitfield Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be today from 5 to 8 p.m. at Love Funeral Home.

SUMMERVILLLE, Ga. - Cecile E. Teems died Monday, Feb. 15, 1999, at her home. She was 87.
She was a member of Four Mile Baptist Church and the widow of J.G. "Whizzer' Teems.
Survivors include her grandchildren, Myra Overbay, Cindy Clark, Rhonda Stowe, and Lisa Parks; and two great-grandsons.
Services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at J.D. Hill Funeral Home with the Rev. J.R. Hawthorne and the Rev. Sanford Deberry officiating.
Burial will be in Summerville Cemetery.
Visitation will be today from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

SUMMERVILLE, Ga. - Lois Harris Allison died Wednesday, Feb. 10, 1999, in an area hospital. She was 83.
Survivors include a sister, Mary Hunter, and a niece, Annette Mauldin.
