Russell Brooks
CALHOUN, Ga. - Russell Brooks died Thursday, Feb. 18, 1999, at his home. He was 84.
Mr. Brooks was retired from Georgia Tufters as a security guard.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Lou Thomas Brooks; six daughters, Mary Smith and Debra Leonard, both of Calhoun, Ga.; Betty Snyder, College Park, Ga., Ann Lawrence, Sweetwater, Tenn., Evelyn Bartlett, Riverdale, Ga., and Sarah Buhs, Newman, Ga.; three sons, Robert Brooks, Tampa, Fla., Charles Brooks, Dawsonville, Ga., and Johnny Brooks, Calhoun; one sister, Effie Thomas, Anniston, Ala., 31 grandchildren, and 35 great-grandchildren.
Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Carver Memorial Gardens in Jonesboro, Ga.
Visitation will be today from 2 to 10 p.m. at the funeral home.
Archie Dover
LaFAYETTE, Ga. - the Rev. Archie Dover died Wednesday, Feb. 17, 1999, in a Chattanooga hospital. He was 51.
He was a member of New Harvest Baptist Church, an employee of Mt. Vernon Mills and a Vietnam veteran.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Georgia Payne Dover.
Survivors include his wife, Zora Smith Dover, LaFayette; father, Tiny Dover, Trion, Ga.; two sons, Bradley Dover, LaFayette, and Tracy Dover, Jacksonville, Fla.; two sisters, Kay Bomar, Ringgold, Ga., and Nell Bryan, LaFayette; four brothers, Jimmy and Willis Dover, both of Trion, Ga.; Marion Dover, LaFayette, and Aaron Dover, Cartersville, Ga.; and two grandchildren.
Services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at New Harvest Baptist Church with the Rev. Bobby Staton and the Rev. Kenneth Jennings officiating.
Burial will be in West Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 9 p.m. at Wallis-Wilbanks Funeral Home, LaFayette, Ga.
Bishop Ellison
DALTON, Ga. - Bishop C.H. Ellison died Monday, Feb. 15, 1999, in a local hospital. He was 88.
Services will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Greater St. James Overcoming Church of God with bishop Nicky Paul Starling and others officiating.
Burial will be in West Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be today after 10 a.m. at Willis Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service Sunday at the church.
Lewis Hale
SUMMERVILLE, Ga. - Lewis F. Hale died Wednesday, Fed. 17, 1999, at his home. He was 82.
He was a member of Summerville First Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Annie Scoggins Hale; five daughters, Joyce McGraw, Smyrna, Ga., Frances Prince, Cloudland, Ga., Sally Hardin, Rock Spring, Ga., Jerry Taylor, Rainsville, Ala., and Nancy Hickey, Atlanta; one sister, Ruby Underwood, Summerville; nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.
Services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at J.D. Hill Funeral Home with the Rev. Willie Bearden and Terry Taylor officiating.
Burial will be in Summerville Cemetery.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

RINGGOLD, Ga. - Theresa Levi died Tuesday, Feb. 16, 1999, in a local hospital. She was 66.
Services will be today at 1 p.m. at Wallis-Stewart Funeral Home with the Rev. Rick Carroll officiating.

DALTON, Ga. - Dorothy Mae Slaughter London died Wednesday, Feb. 17, 1999, at her home. She was 50.

SUMMERVILLE, Ga. - Mamie O. Ludy died Sunday, Feb. 14, 1999, in a hospital in Marietta, Ga.
Services will be today at 2 p.m. at the W. Fifth Street Church of Christ with brothers Rufus Williams and John Lewis officiating.
Burial will be in Summerville Cemetery.

Jimmy Lumpkin
CHATSWORTH, Ga. - Jimmy Alton Lumpkin died Wednesday, Feb. 17, 1999. He was 47.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Tommy Lee and Mary Keith Lumpkin, two brothers, Lewis and Elmer Lumpkin, and two sisters, Helen McCarley and Sybile Ponders.
Survivors include his wife, Ruby Dean Lumpkin; two daughters, Katrena and Kimberly Lumpkin, Cartersville, Ga.; stepdaughter, Dana Adams, Chatsworth, Ga.; stepson, Kenny Dean, Chatsworth; two brothers, Robert and Allen Lumpkin, Dalton, Ga.; two sisters, Betty Emerson and Amanda Albertson, Dalton; and six stepgrandchildren.
Services will be today at noon at Tilton Baptist Church with the Rev. Bruce Beach officiating.
Burial will be in the church cemetery.

RINGGOLD, Ga. - Theresa Levi died Tuesday, Feb. 16, 1999, in a local hospital. She was 66.
A native of East Dubuque, Ill., she had lived in the Ringgold area since 1989. She was a homemaker and the widow of James Levi.
Survivors include three sons, Jerry Russell Levi, Ringgold, Roger Nicholas Levi, Hawaii, and Timothy Allen Levi, Oklahoma; two daughters, Rosalee Crocker, Ringgold, Cindy Darnell, Dallas, Ga.; three sisters, Joice Heiman, Rossville, Barbara White, Lebenon, Mo., and Rose Mary Boston, California; two brothers, Bert Laws, Quincey, Ill., and Dallas Laws; six grandchildren.
Services will be Friday at 1 p.m. at Wallis-Stewart Funeral Home with the Rev. Rick Carroll officiating.
Mamie Ludy
SUMMERVILLE, Ga. - Mamie O. Ludy died Sunday, Feb. 14, 1999, in a hospital in Marietta, Ga.
She was the widow of Magnaest V. Ludy, and a member of Highway 27 North Church of Christ.
Survivors include seven daughters, Bettye Holland, Bonnie Holmes, Brenda Snow and Trudy Brown, all of Detroit, Barbara Evans, Summerville, Belle Alexander, New York and Bessie Paschal, Decatur, Ga.; six sons, Napolian and Quinton Ludy, Detroit, Steven Ludy, New York, Raymond, Arthor, and Minister L.D. Ludy, Summerville; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
