RESACA, Ga. - Isiah Michael Nance, infant son of Mike and Kerry Nance died Saturday, Feb. 20,. 1999, in a Chattanooga hospital.
Other survivors include his grandparents, Alvin and Sandra Hale, Calhoun, Dennis and Nina Nance, Dalton; great-grandparents, Preston and Mae Dupree, Calhoun, Margaret Hale, Adairsville, and Floy E. Nance and Dollie Mae Fletcher, Dalton.
Services were held Monday at the Tabernacle of Praise Church with the Rev. Jack Dupree officiating.
Burial was in Haven of Rest Cemetery.

Anna Painter
DALTON, Ga. - Anna Pearl Painter died Friday, Feb. 19, 1999, at her mother's home. She was 57.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jess Painter and her father, Marion Hayes.
Survivors include three sons, Lamar, Chris, and Paul Chastain, all of Dalton; her mother, Estelle Williams Hayes; three sisters, Mildred Spence, Shirley Hayes, and Carolyn Ramos, all of Dalton; seven brothers, Joe and Ralph Hayes, Dalton, Douglas and Dennis Hayes, Rocky Face, Ga., Marshall Hayes, Ellijay, Ga., and Aaron and John Hayes, Chatsworth, Ga.; seven grandchildren and one great-grandson.
Services were held today at 2 p.m. at Ponders Funeral Home with the Rev. Joe Hayes and the Rev. Travis Martin officiating.
Burial was in Fairy Valley Baptist Church cemetery in Murray County.
Clyde Sneed
DALTON, Ga. - Clyde B. Sneed died Sunday, Feb. 21, 1999, in a Georgia hospital. He was 87.
Services will be held today at 11 a.m. at Love Funeral Home with the Rev. Roy Gentry and the Rev. Greg Stafford officiating.
Burial will be in West Hill Cemetery.
William Spada
RINGGOLD, Ga. - William Joseph Spada died Monday, Feb. 22, 1999, in a local hospital. He was 83.
A native of Kenton County, Ky., he was retired from Southern Railway after several years of service. He was a Catholic.
Survivors include his wife, Anna Hood Spada; three daughters, Cecile Spada, Ringgold, Patricia Edgemon, Jacksonville, Fla., and Jay V. Spada, Port Richie, Fla.; and two grandchildren.
Services will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home, Battlefield Parkway.
Burial will be in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
Mirial Thomas
LaFAYETTE, Ga. - Mirial Elizabeth Thomas of Marietta, Ga., and formerly of LaFayette, died Friday, Feb. 19, 1999. She was 54.
Survivors include one daughter, Sonja Garcia, Marietta; mother, Gladys Wheeler, LaFayette; three sisters, Jacqueline Shropshire, Atlanta, Sara Moton, Decatur, Ga., Eddie Jefferson, Akron, Ohio; and four brothers, George Wheeler, Atlanta, Larry Wheeler, Savannah, Ken Wheeler, Rogersville, Tenn., and Ricky Wheeler, Childress, Texas.
Services will be Wednesday at Hanley-Shelton Funeral Home in Marietta.
Burial will be in Salisbury National cemetery in Salisbury, N.C.
Charles Miller
ROME, Ga. - Charles Mize Miller died Thursday, Feb. 18, 1999, in an area health care facility. He was 80.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, was a retired civil servant employed by the U.S. Government, and a member of First United Methodist Church of Calhoun.
Survivors include two brothers, James R. Miller, St. Petersburg, Fla., and Edward F. Miller, Rome, Ga.; one sister, Martha Green, Cedartown, Ga.
Services will be today at 2 p.m. at Thomas Funeral Home with Dr. Ken Ray officiating.
Burial will be in Fain Cemetery.
Nettie McDaniel
DALTON, Ga. - Funeral services for Nettie London McDaniel will be today at 2 p.m. at Kenemer Brothers Funeral Home with the Rev. Bruce Sloan officiating.
Burial will be in Whitfield Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. McDaniel, a resident of Ridgewood Manor Nursing Home, died Thursday, Feb. 18, 1999. She was 105.
J.D. Smith
CALHOUN, Ga. - J.D. Smith died Friday Feb. 19, 1999, in Floyd Health Care. He was 73.
He was a native of Gordon County and was the father of the late Leonard Smith.
Survivors include his wife, Bertie Waddell Smith; two sons, Danny and Larry Smith, both of Calhoun; one sister, Effie Townsend, Ranger, Ga.; one brother, Howard Smith, Nicklesville community; 13 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home with the Rev. A.J. Waters officiating.
Burial will be in Chandler Cemetery.
Visitation will be today after 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
Kelsey Hawkins
CHATSWORTH, Ga. - Kelsey Paige Hawkins, infant daughter of David and Gloria Hawkins died Monday, March 8, 1999, in an area hospital.
Other survivors include a brother, Bailey Hawkins; grandparents, Doug and Teresa Carroll and Steve and Rhonda Hawkins, Chatsworth; great-grandparents, Sarah McDowell, Ringgold, and William and Maurine Hawkins, Spring City, Tenn.
Services will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at Peeples Funeral Home with the Rev. Trammel Campbell officiating.
Burial will be in Murray Memorial Gardens.
Visitation wll be today after 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
Syble Wooten
DALTON, Ga. - Syble Estelle Wooten died Tuesday, Feb. 17, 1998, in a local hospital. She was 69.
