Larry Wallin
RINGGOLD, Ga. - Larry P. Wallin, a retiree from Combustion/ABB with 40 years of service in graphic designs, died Tuesday, March 30, 1999, at his home. He was 62.

He was a resident of the Chattanooga and Ringgold areas for most of his life and was a 1955 graduate of Ringgold High School.

He was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of Boynton Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Flora Mae Wallin; three sons, Richard D. Wallin, Casa Grande, Ariz., Delbert A. Wallin, Trenton, Ga., and Gary M. Wallin, Ringgold; and three grandsons.

The funeral will be Thursday at 3:30 p.m. at W.L. Wilson & Sons Funeral Home with the Rev. Keith McLeod officiating.

Burial will be in Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park.

Visitation will be all day today and Thursday before the service.

Brent Bayer
TRENTON, Ga. - A memorial service for Brent Alan Bayer will be held today at 1 p.m. at the Trenton Chapel of Moore Funeral Home with the Rev. Eddie Cantrell officiating.

The body will be cremated.

Visitation will be today after 11 a.m. at the funeral home.

Flora Colbert
ROCK SPRING, Ga. - Flora Hurley Colbert died Monday, March 8, 1999, in an area nursing home.

Mrs. Colbert was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church of Chickamauga.

Survivors include her husband, Franklin Thomas Colbert; two daughters, Irene Chastain, Rock Spring, and Christine Partain, Rossville; one sister, Bessie Kelly, Centre, Ala.; three grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, one stepgranddaughter, and one step-great grandchild.

Services will be today a 2 p.m. at LaFayette Funeral Home with the Rev. Ted Verville officiating.

Burial will be in LaFayette Memory Gardens.

Claudell Gifford
DALTON, Ga. - Claudell Morgan Gifford of Enon, Ohio, formerly of Dalton, died Sunday, March 7, 1999, in an area hospital. She was 56.

She was the daughter of the late Hudson and Thelma Ridley Morgan.

Survivors include her husband, Quentin R. Gifford; one son, Rudy McNeese, Lake Mary, Fla.; two daughters, Yvonne Jesse, Enon, and Yvette Martinez, Springfield, Ohio; three brothers, Norman, J.E., and Larry Morgan, all of Dalton; one sister, Eileen Ingles, Dalton; and 13 grandchildren.

Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Love Funeral Home with the Rev. Larry Morgan officiating.

Burial will be in Maple Grove Baptist Cemetery.

Visitation will be Thursday from 5 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Harris Nix
RINGGOLD, Ga. - Harris Nix died Monday, March 8, 1999, in a local hospital. He was 71.

Mr. Nix was a member of First Baptist Church of Ringgold and was retired from Sterchi's/Helig-Meyers where he was a manager for 30 years. He also served in the U.S. Marine Corps.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Ann Nabors Nix; three sons, Reggie Nix, Houston, Brian Nix, Athens, Ga., and Randy Nix, Ringgold; and eight grandchilden.

Services will be Friday at 1 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Ringgold, with the Rev. Bruce Sloan officiating.

Burial will be in Chattanooga National Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. at Wallis-Stewart Funeral Home, Ringgold.

Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church of Ringgold.

Jesse Patty
RINGGOLD, Ga. - Jesse "Jake' Patty died Sunday, March 7, 1999, in an area hospital. He was 81.

Services will be today at 2 p.m. at Wallis-Stewart Funeral Home with the Rev. Bruce Sloan officiating.

Burial will be in Anderson Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Ringgold First Baptist Church, 7611 Nashville St., Ringgold, GA 30736.

Vera Thomas
LaFAYETTE, Ga. - Vera Brown Thomas died Monday, March 8, 1999, in a Chattanooga hospital. She was 72.

She was the widow of James Thomas.

Survivors include four nieces, Katherine York, Sherry Tate and Kim Bandy, all of LaFayette, and Betty Fortune, Texas; and one nephew, Rodney Brown, LaFayette.

Services will be today at noon at Wallis-Wilbanks Funeral Home.

Burial will be in LaFayette Memory Gardens.

Willie Woodward
CALHOUN, Ga. - Willie Woodward died Wednesday, Jan. 27, 1999, in a Rome, Ga., hospital.

Arrangements will be announced by Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home.

Judith Wooten
TRENTON, Ga. - Judith Gayle "Judy' Wooten died Saturday, Feb. 6, 1999, at her home. She was 46.

She was an employee of Larry's Restaurant.

She was a member of the Church of God.

Survivors include two sons, Scott and David Wooten; his mother, Nancy Dowdey; one sister, Trudy Blevins, Trenton; two brothers, Mike Dowdey, Trenton, and Chuck Dowdey, Dalton, Ga.

Services will be held today at 4 p.m. in the Trenton Chapel of Moore Funeral Home with the Rev. Ed Thompson officiating.

Burial will be in Lake Hills Memorial Gardens.
