He was a Baptist and a retired textile worker.
Survivors include three daughters, Charlotte Todd, Summerville, Ga., Jackie Cain, Dallas, Ga., and Rita Brow, Acworth, Ga.; three sons, Robert Alvin Johnson Jr., LaFayette, Ga., Terry Johnson, Summerville, and Tony Johnson, Trion; 15 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Services will be today at 3 p.m. at J.D. Hill Funeral Home with pastor Willie Bearden officiating.
Burial will be in West Hill Cemetery.

LaFAYETTE, Ga. - Gladys Richards Dyer died Thursday, March 18, 1999, in an area hospital. She was 82.
She was a member of Bethel Memorial Baptist Church and was the widow of Bryan E. Dyer.
Survivors include two sons, Lewis J. Dyer, Chattanooga; and Leon Dyer, LaFayette; two sisters, Ovelene Witt, Trion, Ga., and Joyce Sweatt, Smyrna, Ga.; three brothers, James Richards, Attalla, Ala., Roscoe Richards Jr., Jasper, Ga., and Henry Richards, South Carolina; and three grandchildren.
Services will be today at 11 a.m. at Wallis-Wilbanks Funeral Home with the Rev. Vincent Cook officiating.
Burial will be in LaFayette Cemetery.

LAFAYETTE, Ga. - Roy "Curt' Shepard died Sunday, March 21, 1999, in a local hospital. He was 89.
He was retired from the LaFayette Coca-Cola Company.
Survivors include his wife, Dolly Shepard; one daughter, Joyce Littlejohn, LaFayette; four sisters, Geraldino Cornett, Flat Rock, Ala.; Billie Bagley, Reeda Tucker and Phronia Eaton, all of LaFayette; four grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Wallis-Wilbanks Funeral Home in LaFayette with Pastor Lila Clay and the Rev. Robert Patterson officiating.
Burial will be in LaFayette Memory Gardens.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Coleman Wood, and one grandchild.
Survivors include one daughter, Carrie Mitchell, Menlo; one son, Dewond Wood, Menlo; one sister, Lola Fletcher, Blue Pond, Ala.; four grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
