Betty Hodnett
Betty Jane Hodnett of Fort Oglethorpe, Ga., died Monday, March 1, 1999, at her home. She was 60.
She was a member of Chattanooga Valley Baptist Church and was the widow of Harvil Jack Hodnett.
Survivors include one son, Jeffrey Hodnett, Killeen, Texas; three sisters, Barbara Gravitt, Rising Fawn, Ga., Pat Mitchell, Lookout Mountain, Ga., and Ann Wilson, Flintstone, Ga.
Graveside services were conducted Thursday at 12;30 p.m. at Chattanooga National Cemetery.
Arrangements were made by J. Avery Bryan Funeral Home, Chickamauga, Ga.
Luther Bohanan
Luther Gordon "Luke' Bohanan of Flintstone, Ga., died Wednesday, March 3, 1999, in Chickamauga, Ga. He was 93.
He retired from his position as supervisor from Yates Bleachery after 50 years of service. He was a member of the Chattanooga Valley Kiwanis Club and the Rossville Masonic Lodge 397 where he served as Past Master.
He was a charter member of Flintstone United Methodist Church and was the widower of Kathryn V. Bohanan.
Survivors one daughter, Patsy May, Cleveland, Tenn.; one brother, Rufus Bohanan, Bossier City, La.; two sisters, Catherine Stewart, Tullahoma, Tenn., and Helen Lamb, Chickamauga, Ga.; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at W.L. Wilson & Sons Funeral Home with the Rev. Cathleen Deese officiating.
Burial will be in Forest Hills Cemetery.
Visitation will be Saturday from 4 to 8 p.m. and Sunday morning prior to the time of service at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Flintstone United Methodist Church.
Earnestine Hughes
LaFAYETTE, Ga. - Earnestine Laminack Hughes died Thursday, March 11, 1999, in an area hospital. She was 67.
She was a member of Center Grove Baptist Church and was the widow of Evans Hughes.
Survivors include one daughter, Linda Trundle, Rossville; three sons, Ricky and Cary Hughes, LaFayette; and David Stacks; two stepdaughters, Vivian Crump and Austeen Allen, both of Dalton; stepson, Jerry Hughes, Dalton; two sisters, Aileen Bell and Emileen Blevins, both of LaFayette; 11 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Services will be today at 2 p.m. at Center Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Levoy Whitton and the Rev. Chris Hulsey officiating.
Burial will be in Center Point Cemetery.
Michael Isenhower
ROCKY FACE, Ga. - Michael E. Isenhower died Monday, March 8, 1999, at a local hospital. He was 52.
Memorial services will be held Sunday, March 16, at 2 p.m. at Rocky Face Baptist Church.

Lena Luttrell
RINGGOLD, Ga. - Lena Jane Luttrell died Friday, March 12, 1999, in a local hospital. She was 99.
Mrs. Luttrell had lived most of her life in the north Georgia area. She was one of the first employees of Goodwill Industries of Chattanooga and was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Barbara L. Andrews, and three grandchildren, all of Ringgold.
Services will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Herman Kapherr officiating.
Burial will be in Anderson Cemetery.
Visitation will be today from 3 to 8 p.m. at Wallis-Stewart Funeral Home in Ringgold.

Carl Panter Sr.
McCAYSVILLE, Ga. - Carl E. Panter Sr., a longtime resident of Copperhill, Tenn., died Wednesday, March 10, 1999. He was 95.
Services will be held today at 11 a.m. at First United Methodist Church of Copperhill with the Rev. Bill Schoeneman, the Rev. Jennings Neeld and the Rev. James Mitchell officiating.
Burial will be at Crestlawn cemetery in Copperhill.
B.R. Harris
RINGGOLD, Ga. - B.R. Harris died Thursday, March 11, 1999, in a local hospital. He was 78.
Mr. Harris was a lifelong resident of Ringgold, a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, and a member of Ringgold United Methodist Church.
He was the founding president of the Catoosa Historical Society and a postman in Ringgold for 35 years.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Francis Harris; two daughters, Kay Bowman, Ringgold, and Nancy Crowe, East Brainerd; one brother, Ray F. Harris, Sun City, Fla.; and four grandchildren.
Services will be today at 2 p.m. at Ringgold United Methodist Church with the Rev. Scobbie Branson and the Rev. Bruce Sloan officiating.
Burial will be in Anderson Memorial Gardens.
Arrangements are by Wallis-Stewart Funeral Home.
Vannie Grooms
DAWNVILLE, Ga. - Vannie Allene Grooms died Thursday, March 11, 1999, in an area hospital. She was 58.
Survivors include her husband, Carl Grooms; daughter, Charlene Akins; one sister, Louise Blackwell, Chatsworth; two brothers, Jesse Ingle, Dalton, and Lee Ingle, Chatsworth; and two grandchildren.
Services will be today at 2 p.m. at Mount Carmel Baptist Church with the Rev. Larry Guthrie and the Rev. Earl Howard officiating.
Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Arrangements are by Peeples Funeral Home, Chatsworth.
Mary Copeland
LaFAYETTE, Ga. - Mary "Idell' Loggins Copeland died Thursday, March 11, 1999, in an area health care facility. She was 90.
She was a member of Second Baptist Church and the Golden Circle Sunday School Class.
She was widowed by both Glenn Loggins and Tom Copeland.
Survivors include one daughter, Bobbie Everett, LaFayette; three sons, Kenneth Loggins, the Rev. Harlin Loggins, LaFayette, and Donald Loggins, Atlanta; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Services will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at LaFayette Second Baptist Church with the Rev. C.F. Strickland, the Rev. Tiny Durrance and the Rev. Woody Lee officiating.
Burial will be in LaFayette Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be today from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. at LaFayette Funeral Home.
