RINGGOLD, Ga. - Jesse "Jake' Patty died Sunday, March 7, 1999, in an area hospital. He was 81.
Mr. Patty was a lifelong resident of Ringgold, a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, a retired supervisor from DuPont after 31 years, a member of Quitman Masonic Lodge 106, Order of the Eastern Star 245, and the Ringgold First Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Annie Peters Patty; one daughter, Dolores Ellis, Ringgold; two sisters, Paulette Willingham, Fort Oglethorpe, and Betty Patty, Ringgold; one brother, Joe Patty, Ringgold; two grandsons.
Services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Wallis-Stewart Funeral Home with the Rev. Bruce Sloan officiating.
Burial will be in Anderson Cemetery.
Visitation will be today from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Raymond Pendergrass CLEVELAND, Tenn. - Raymond Lee Pendergrass died Monday, March 8, 1999, in a local hospital. He was 67.
Arrangements will be announced by Ralph Buckner Funeral Home.
Lucille Plumley
CALHOUN, Ga. - Lucille B. Plumley died Sunday, March 7, 1999, in an area hospital. She was 71.
She was a member of Meadowfork Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, the Rev. Milburn Plumley; four daughters, Brenda McDade and Florene Love, Delano, Tenn., Ann Cummings, Linsdale, and Ernestine Cummings, Calhoun; one son, Steven Plumley, Greasy Creek; one sister, Virginia Lonas, Fort Richie, Fla.; 13 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Services will be today at 2 p.m. at Meadowfork Baptist Church with the Rev. Hoyt Melton and the Rev. Ray Stewart officiating.
Burial will be in Delano Cemetery.

ROCK SPRING, Ga. - Hoyt A. Watkins died Saturday, March 6, 1999, in a local hospital. he was 82.
Services will be today at 2 p.m. at LaFayette Funeral Home with pastor Bud Martenn officiating.
Burial will be in LaFayette Memory Gardens.
Rev. Raymond Wells CHARLESTON, Tenn. - The Rev. Raymond F. Wells died Sunday, March 7, 1999, in a local hospital. He was 94.
He was a member of Council Baptist Church and was a retired Baptist minister, having pastored several western North Carolina churches.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ovialee Moore Wells; and three children, Grace Davis, Herschel Wells and Rosa Lee Hamby.
Survivors include one son, Tommy Wells, Charleston; three daughters, Marie Smith, Maxine Thompson and Phyllis Taylor, all of Charleston; two sisters, Gussie Jones and Bell Brewer, Liecester, N.C.; one brother, Lawrence Wells, Atlanta; 18 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren.
Services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with the Rev. Ronald McDowell and the Rev. Jimmy Dunn officiating.
Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be today from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Ida Mae Wilson died Sunday, March 7, 1999, in an area hospital. She was 91.
She was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church and the widow of Newt J. Wilson.
Survivors include her daughters, Carolyn Brackin, Cleveland; one brother, Nezer Kendrick, Eton, Ga.; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Higgins Funeral Home with the Rev. Ernest Arms officiating.
Burial will follow in Dill cemetery near Oldfort.
James Bagley
DALTON, Ga. - James Bagley died Tuesday, March 2, 1999, in an Atlanta hospital. He was 67.
Funeral services will be today at 11 a.m. at Ponders Funeral Home with the Rev. Danny Cochran and the Rev. Billy Raper officiating.
Burial will be in Whitfield Memorial Gardens.
Pearl Bagley
RESACA, Ga. - Pearl Bagley died Thursday, March 4, 1999, in an area hospital. She was 87.
She was a retired textile employee and was preceded in death by her husband, Barney Bagley; daughter, Veinnie Mae Gallman; two sons, Theron D. and Howard L. Bagley; and a grandson, Michael Bagley.
Survivors include one daughter, Patsy Ann Pasley; one sister, Ella Mae Davis, Resaca; one brother, Arville Brookshire, Greenwood, S.C.; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home with the Rev. G.W. Shaw and the Rev. James Cobb officiating.
Burial will be in Fain Cemetery.
Margaret Tate
CALHOUN, Ga. - Margaret Smith Tate of the Curryville community died Wednesday, March 3, 1999, at her home. She was 82.
She was a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church, was retired from Gordon County Schools and was the widow of Joseph Herbert Tate.
Survivors include three daughters, Joyce Tolbert, Cartersville, Ga., and Gloria Tate and Daphne Bradwell, Atlanta; five sons, Caiphas Tate, Long Island, N.Y., Larry and Percy Tate, Calhoun, John Tate, Atlanta, and Joseph M. Tate, Riverside, Calif.; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Services will be Sunday at at 2 p.m. at Mount Zion Baptist Church in the Curryville Community of Calhoun, with the Rev. H.D. Caldwell and other ministers officiating.
Burial will be in Mount Zion Baptist Church Cemetery.

Gene Holt
TRION, Ga. - Gene Holt died Thursday, March 4, 1999, at his home. He was 61.
He was a son of the late Ralph and Foy Holt, was retired from Mount Vernon Mills in the finishing plant and was a member of Trion United Methodist Church.
He was a member of the Camp Sidney Dew Alumni Assoc., a lifetime member of the Chattanooga Wildlife Association, an advisor to Explorer Post 10 and a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
Survivors include his wife, Lou Holt; one daughter, Kim Holt, Trion; two sons, Craig Holt, Summerville, and Doug Holt, Trion; and six grandchildren.
Services will be today at 2 p.m. at Erwin-Petitt Funeral Home with the Rev. Art Graves and the Rev. James "Bo" Parris officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
