FORT OGLETHORPE, Ga. - Dean "Biff' Bryson died Wednesday, March 31, 1999, in a local hospital. He was 57.
He had lived in the Fort Oglethorpe and Rossville areas most of his life and was a Baptist.
He was preceded in death by his father, Olen Bryson.
Survivors include his wife, Frances Bryson, Fort Oglethorpe, Ga.; mother, Mary Jewell Bryson, Chattanooga; two sons, Tony Bryson, Hixson, and Ricky Mathis, Ringgold, Ga.; six sisters, Reba Louise McGuire, Tunnel Hill, Ga., Flora Ann Lemons, Phyllis Smith and Joy Parks, all of Fayetteville, Janie Myers, Harvest, Ala., and Mary Ruth Henson, Columbia, Tenn.; two brothers, James Carl Bryson, Chickamauga, Ga., and David Bryson, Rossville; and two grandchildren.
Services will be Friday at 3:30 p.m. at W.L. Wilson & Sons Funeral Home with the Rev. Lillard Stringer officiating.
Burial will be in Woodstation cemetery in Ringgold.
The family will receive friends all day today and Friday before the service at the funeral home.
Dewey Darley
RINGGOLD, Ga. - Dewey Jessie Darley died Tuesday, March 30, 1999, at his home. He was 60.
Formerly of Waycross, Ga., he was a former employee of Hutcheson Medical Center.
He was the father of the late Linda Sizemore and Mitchell Darley.
Survivors include his wife, Ruby Darley; daughter, Sandy Mercer, Waycross; son, Dewayne Darley, Rossville; two sisters, Lou Danielson, Alexandria, Va., and Louise Sasser, Cairo, Ga.; two brothers, Ralph Darley, Tacoma, Wash., and Joe Darley, Jacksonville, Ky.; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Services were held Friday at 11 a.m. at W.L. Wilson & Sons Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Hixon officiating.
Burial will be in Lakewood Memory Gardens, South.
The family will receive friends all day today at the funeral home.

CALHOUN, Ga. - Joan Dodd died recently in an area hospital.

Karen Hess ROSSVILLE, Ga. - Karen Poteet Hess died Tuesday, March 30, 1999, at her home. She was 46.
Arrangements will be announced by the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends Friday after 1 p.m.
Norma Johnson
FORT OGLETHORPE, GA. - Norma Roberts Johnson died Tuesday, March 30, 1999, in a local hospital. She was 68.
She was a Baptist and was a longtime resident of Chattanooga.
She was a Realtor for more than 20 years and was a resident manager with Potter Enterprises.
Survivors include a son, Ronnie Frist, East Brainerd; daughter, Pam Brown, Rossville; four grandchildren and one great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be Friday at 11 a.m. in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends today from 5 to 9 p.m. at the Highway 58 Chapel of Turner Funeral Home.

McMINNVILLE, Tenn. - John A. Kilgore died Wednesday, March 31, 1999, in an area hospital.

Lota McLure
CALHOUN, Ga. - Lota R. McLure died Tuesday, March 30, 1999, in an area hospital. She was 91.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Calhoun and the widow of Robert G. McLure.
Survivors include a son, Bob McLure, Dalton; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Services will be today at 2 p.m. at Thomas Funeral Home with Dr. Bert Vaughn officiating.
Burial will be in Fain Cemetery.
Charlie Murdock
SUMMERVILLE, Ga. - Charlie Murdock died Tuesday, March 30, 1999, in an Atlanta hospital. He was 73.
He was a retired textile worker and was preceded in death by his wife, Sophronia L. Murdock.
Survivors include his wife, Janice Murdock; four sons, Norman Murdock, Rome, Ga., Larry Murdock, Menlo, Ga., James Murdock, South Carolina, and Eddie Murdock, Summerville; a stepdaughter, Mary Payne, Collinsville, Ala.; stepson, Ray Collins, Summerville; 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be Friday at 1 p.m. at Ridgedale Church of God with the Rev. Junior Evans officiating.
Burial will be in Chapel Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be today from 7 to 9 p.m. at J.D. Hill Funeral Home, Summerville.
Thomas Ratajczak
DALTON, Ga. - Thomas J. "Tom' Ratajczak died Monday, March 29, 1999, in a Chattanooga hospital. He was 78.
He was a pioneer in the carpet industry and served in World War II, achieving the rank of lieutenant and receiving a Purple Heart.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Stewart Ratajczak.
Survivors include a daughter, Toni Stephan, Boston; son, Thomas Scott Ratajczak, Arlington Heights, Ill.; sister, Alberta Grenko, Pennsylvania; and five grandchildren.
A memorial service will be today at 6 p.m. at Love Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends after the service.
Burial will be in Arlington (Va.) National Cemetery.
