CALHOUN, Ga. - Joan Rebecca McClure Dodd died recently in an area hospital. She was 42.
She was a daughter of the late Walter and Delsey McClure and was an employee of American Rug.
Survivors include her husband, Harlan Dodd; three sons, Richard Beasley, Michael Majors and Jerome Dodd, all of Calhoun; seven sisters, Ida Price, Dahlonega, Ga., Ruthy Green, Helen Smith, Nancy Hamilton, Minnie Landers and Jannie Marchbanks, all of Gainesville, Ga., and Gladys Tullis, Maysville, Ga.; seven brothers, Junior, Willie, and Gary McClure, all of Dahlonega, Clarence and William McClure, both of Gainesville, Ga., Johnny McClure, Dalton, and Wayne McClure, Chatsworth.
The funeral will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Maranatha Baptist Church with the Rev. Tommy Crider and the Rev. Perry Blackstock officiating.
Burial will be in Haven of Rest Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be today after 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
Gladys England
LaFAYETTE, Ga. - Gladys England died Wednesday, March 31, 1999, at her home. She was 87.
She was born in Walker County, Ga., and was a member of Ridgeview Baptist Church.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at LaFayette Funeral Home with the Rev. Vincent Cook officiating.
Burial will be in Singleterry Cemetery.
Visitation will be today after 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
Karen Hess
ROSSVILLE, Ga. - Karen Poteet Hess died Tuesday, March 30, 1999, at her home. She was 46.
She attended Lakeview First Baptist Church. She had been employed by Jumbo Sports and was a native of North Georgia.
She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Stella Lively, and her father, Terrell Poteet.
Survivors include her husband, Steve Hess; daughter, Trina Willingham, Ringgold, Ga.; son, Robert Hess, Rossville; three sisters, Kimberly Brown and Debra Hicks, both of Ringgold, and Sondra Brown, Rossville; brother, Gary Poteet, Ringgold; her mother, Annie Lee Brown, Ringgold; and two grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. in Lakewood Memory Gardens, South, with the Rev. Bob Henson and the Rev. Paul Frick officiating.
The family will receive friends today after 1 p.m. at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home.
Estelle Johnson
REEDSVILLE, Ga. - Estelle Johnson died Wednesday, March 31, 1999, in an area hospital. She was 76.
Arrangements will be announced by the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home.
Charles Kimble
DALTON, Ga. - Charles Allen Kimble died Wednesday, March 31, 1999, at his home. He was 60.
He was a native of Springfield, Ohio, and attended Dalton Church of God.
He was a United States Army Reserve veteran and was employed at Shaw Industries.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Leatha Craddock Kimble.
Survivors include his wife, Tina Woods Kimble; seven daughters, Kyesha Kimble, Darlene Tallent and Karen Williams, all of Dalton, Belinda Kimble, Dublin, Ohio, Ceri aPonte, Columbus, Ohio, Robin Blevins, Atlanta, and Cindy Dobbins, Rocky Face; a son, Greg Kimble, Las Vegas; father, Charles Kimble, Tampa, Fla; brother, Gale Kimble, Chicago; 13 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Services will be Saturday at 3 p.m. at Dalton Church of God with the Rev. Gary Tomberlin and the Rev. Bruce Edwards officiating.
Burial will be at Whitfield Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends today after 5 p.m. at Ponders Funeral Home.
Victor King
CONYERS, Ga. - Victor Hugo King died Monday, March 29, 1999, at his home. He was 47.
He was a former resident of Chattanooga and was employed as vice president of purchasing with the Tennessee Valley Authority.
He was president of Corona Energy Corp. in Lithonia, Ga., a turbine generator service and repair company.
Survivors include his wife, Jovonne McGhee King; daughter, Lauren King; brother, L. Elliott King, Conyers; sister, Cheryl King Mangum, Richmond, Va.; and his parents, Leroy and Marie King, Clarksville, Va.
Services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Clarksville Fine Arts Center.
The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the center.
Burial will be at Clarksville Memorial Cemetery.

ROSSVILLE, Ga. - Robert Glenn "Bobby' Wooten II died Thursday, April 1, 1999, at an area hospital. He was 30.
Mr. Wooten was a member of Cooper Heights Church of God and a native of Walker County.
He was engaged to marry Donna Burk of Rossville.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Robert G. Wooten.
Survivors include his parents, Robert M. and Martha Sweat Wooten, Chickamauga; his sister, Darlene Crowe, Chickamauga; stepchildren, Andy, Becky, James and Steve Burk, all of Rossville; paternal grandmother, Dorothy Wooten, Chickamauga; maternal grandparents, John Paul and Pauline Sweat, LaFayette.
