Gerald Kelley
ATLANTA - Gerald H. Kelley died Monday, April 26, 1999, in Atlanta. He was 78.
The former Chattanooga resident was a member of Ridgedale Baptist Church and was retired after 41 years from Combustion Engineering. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Carole Kelley; a daughter, Vicki Kelley Brown, Atlanta; son, Robert Kelley, Bountiful, Utah; and three grandchildren.
A graveside service will be Thursday at 11 a.m. in Chattanooga National cemetery with Dr. Bill Owens officiating.
The family will receive friends today from 6 to 8 p.m. at Chattanooga Funeral Home, East.

C.W. Lynn
VALDOSTA - C.W. "Charlie' Lynn died Monday, April 26, 1999, at his home. He was 66.
The Chattanooga native was a carpenter and had lived in Lowndes County and Houston, Texas.
Survivors include his wife, Hilda Hughes Lynn, Valdosta; several sisters and a brother.
Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at McLane Lakewood Funeral Home in Lake Park with Dale Armstrong officiating.
Burial will be in Hickory Grove Cemetery.
Annie Mote
CALHOUN - Annie Betty Mote died Tuesday, April 27, 1999, in an area health care facility. She was 93.
Mrs. Mote retired from the Gordon County School System, where she was principal at Echota School and a teacher at the Red Bud and Resaca schools for 45 years.
She was a member of Calhoun First Baptist Church and the Esther Sunday School class, the American Association of Retired Persons and the United Daughters of the Confederacy.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Adams Mote.
Survivors include a brother, Jule Cox; a sister, Pauline Tucker; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be today at 4 p.m. in Chandler cemetery with Dr. Bert Vaughn officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to Calhoun First Baptist Church.
Visitation will be today from 2 to 3 p.m. at Thomas Funeral Home, Calhoun.
Sarah Stanley
CHATSWORTH - Sarah Frances Stover Stanley died Monday, April 26, 1999, in an area hospital. She was 83.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arvil M. Stanley, and a son, Robert R. Stanley.
Survivors include a son, Ronald Stanley; five daughters, Dorothy Fleming, Patsy Penley, Barbara Fowler, Ruth Fowler and Shirley Brindle, all of Chatsworth; a sister, Willie Leatherwood, Marietta, Ga.; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and stepgrandchildren.
Services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Peeples Funeral Home with Darrell Hill and Jackie Waddell officiating.
Burial will be in Casey Springs Cemetery.
Visitation will be today after 5 p.m. at the funeral home.
Margaret White
ROCKY FACE - Margaret E. White died Monday, April 26, 1999, in an area hospital. She was 79.
Mrs. White worked as a floor lady at J.T. Bates Chenille Co. for many years. She was a member of Mount Vernon United Methodist Church and was a member of the Order of Eastern Star Sequoyah Lodge 286 in Calhoun, Ga.
She was the widow of Rufus White and the mother of the late Janie White.
Survivors include two daughters, Faye Aldridge, Tunnel Hill, Ga., and Cathy Holshouser, Dalton; four brothers, Johnny, Larkin, Bill and Jerome Pritchard, all of Dalton; a sister, Martha Worthy, Denton, Texas; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be today at 2 p.m. at Ponders Funeral Home with the Rev. John Pike and the Rev. Lynn Walker officiating.
Burial will be in White cemetery in Villanow, Ga.

ROSSVILLE - John Herschel Alexander died Saturday, April 24, 1999, at his home. He was 73.
Services will be held today at 2 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home with the Rev. Larry Walters officiating.
Burial will be in Lakewood Memory Gardens, South.
Jeff Bryant
DALTON - Jeff "Gator' Bryant died Saturday, April 24, 1999, in an area hospital. He was 31.
He was the grandson of the late Joe and Nell Goss and Claude and Josie Bryant.
Survivors include his wife, Tammy Smith Bryant; a son, Andrew Bryant; parents, Pat and A.D. Bryant; two sisters, Diane Miller and Belinda Lawler, both of Chatsworth; and a brother, David Bryant, Chatsworth.
Services will be today at Love Funeral Home with the Rev. Gene Ratcliff officiating.
Burial will be in Murray Memorial Gardens.
Virgil Bryant
SUMMERVILLE - Virgil W. Bryant died Sunday, April 25, 1999, in a Fort Oglethorpe hospital. He was 83.
Mr. Bryant was retired from E.T. Barwick Carpet Mill and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Fannie Mae Gilreath Bryant, and a son, James H. Bryant.
Survivors include a daughter, Edna Gideon, LaFayette, Ga.; two sisters, Katherine DeFore, Rocky Face, Ga., and Helen Strickland, Graysville, Tenn.; five grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
Services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at LaFayette Funeral Home with the Rev. Dale Parker, the Rev. Gene Jay and the Rev. Jackie Chasteen officiating.
Burial will be in Macedonia cemetery in Teloga, Ga.
Visitation will be today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
