Carl Chadwick
ADAIRSVILLE, Ga. - Carl Chadwick died Sunday, April 4, 1999, in an area hospital. He was 90.

Mr. Chadwick was a well-known farmer and a member of the Philadelphia Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by two daughters, Frances Parker and Ruth Chadwick, and two sons, Ralph Chadwick and an infant.

Survivors include his wife, Gertrude Owen Chadwick; three daughters, Patsy C. Hughey, Myrtle Cooper and Grace Walker, all of Calhoun; four sons, Howard and Charlie Chadwick, both of Calhoun, and Roy and Jerry Chadwick, both of Adairsville; 10 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

The funeral will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Philadelphia Baptist Church with the Rev. Jack Cole and others officiating.

Burial will be in Blackwood Springs Cemetery.

Visitation will be today from 5 to 9 p.m. at Thomas Funeral Home, Calhoun.

Sybil Cox
ROSSVILLE, Ga. - Sybil L. Cox of Port Richey, Fla., formerly of Rossville, died Friday, April 2, 1999, at her home. She was 92.

Mrs. Cox, a homemaker and a housewife, was a Baptist and the widow of Charles M. Cox.

Survivors include a daughter, June Cox Parker, Port Richey, Fla.; a grandson and two great-grandchildren.

Services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at W.L. Wilson & Sons Funeral Home.

Burial will be in Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park.

Bill Espy
SUMMERVILLE, Ga. - Bill Espy died Sunday, April 4, 1999, at her home. He was 71.

He was a Baptist and was preceded in death by two sisters, Kathryn and Dorothy Espy, and two brothers, Woodrow and John Espy.

Survivors include three daughters, Vickie Brinkley and Retha Blackmon, Summerville, and Rita Ledbetter, Armuchee, Ga.; a son, Greg Espy, Trion, Ga.; a sister, Charlotte Moseley, Summerville; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. in Lyerly cemetery with the Rev. Malcolm Harris officiating.

Arrangements are by J.D. Hill Funeral Home, Summerville.

Evelyn Holcomb
FORT OGLETHORPE, Ga. - Evelyn L. Holcomb of Fort Oglethorpe died Sunday, April 4, 1999, in a Chattanooga hospital. She was 83.

A native of Ringgold, Ga., she was a member of Ringgold United Methodist Church, and was retired from Hutcheson Medical Center after more than 15 years there.

Survivors include two nephews, Michael Broome, Columbia, S.C., and James Redwine, Birmingham.

The funeral will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Wallis-Stewart Funeral Home with the Rev. Scobie Branson officiating.

Burial will be in Anderson Cemetery.

Estelle Johnson
REIDSVILLE, Ga. - Estelle Johnson died Wednesday, March 31, 1999, in an area hospital. She was 76.

Arrangements will be announced by the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home.

John Norris
DALTON, Ga. - John Norris of Chattanooga, formerly of Dalton, died Sunday, April 4, 1999, at his home. He was 98.

Arrangements will be announced by Willis Funeral Home in Dalton.

Steven Rogers
RINGGOLD, Ga. - Steven E. Rogers died Sunday, April 4, 1999, at his home. He was 41.

Services will be today at 2 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home, Battlefield Parkway.

Burial will be in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Stratford House, Activities Department, 8249 Standifer Gap Road, Chattanooga, TN 37421.

Arthur Rood
RINGGOLD, Ga. - Arthur Rood died Saturday, April 3, 1999, at his home. He was 61.

Services will be held Tuesday today at 3 p.m. at Wallis-Stewart Funeral Home in Ringgold, with the Rev. Thurman Headrick officiating.

Burial will be in Anderson Memorial Gardens.

Randall Sanford
CALHOUN, Ga. - Randall Dwayne Sanford died Sunday, April 4, 1999, in an area hospital. He was 20.

He attended Georgia Academy for the Blind until 1998 and was a student at Gordon Central High School.

He was a member of Oak Hill Baptist Church and was preceded in death by a sister, Rammy Sue Sanford, and grandparents, Tommie Sanford, Paul Ray and Ora Bell and Paul B. Tinch.

Survivors include his parents, Jack and Vicki Sanford, Calhoun, and Florence and Leslie Baldridge, Plainville, Ga.; five sisters, Vickie Bennett, Alabama, Keri McBrayer, Resaca, Ga., Teri Manis and Jackie Ingle, Chatsworth, Ga., and Rebecca Sanford, Calhoun; seven brothers, David McBrayer, Resaca, Kevin Sanford, Joel Brock, Ricky, Jeff and Banky Baldridge, all of Calhoun; Chris Baldridge, Alabama; grandmother, Evelyn Bradley, Calhoun; stepgrandparents, Pat and Jack Hall, Calhoun.

Services will be today at 2 p.m. at Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home with the Rev. Keith Reed officiating.

Burial will be in Pine Chapel Cemetery.

Addie Westbrook
LAFAYETTE, Ga. - Addie H. Westbrook died Saturday, April 3, 1999, at her home. She was 97.

Arrangements will be announced by LaFayette Funeral Home.

Lee Aecha
FORT OGLETHORPE - Lee Aecha died Tuesday, April 6, 1999, in a local hospital.

She was a native of Kwang-Ju, Korea, and a resident of the Chattanooga area for the past six months. She was a member and deaconess at Chattanooga Full Gospel Church.

Survivors include her husband, Chang Hwan Lee; three children, Kyong Mi "Kathy' Sok, Hixson, Ron Lee, Atlanta, and Kyong Suk "Elizabeth' Lee, Fort Oglethorpe; three brothers, Dong Sung Kim, Dong Hun Kim and Dong Yong Kim, all of Kwang-Ju, Korea; and four grandchildren.

The funeral will be Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at Chattanooga Funeral Home, East, with James Lee officiating.

Burial will be in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from noon until the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
