The body will be at the church one hour before the service.

William Jackson
LaFAYETTE - William Walter Jackson died Thursday, May 13, 1999. He was 73.
He was a lifelong resident of the North Georgia area, a retiree of Mt. Vernon Mills and a Baptist.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce Jackson; two sons, William Earl Jackson, LaFayette, and Berry Daniel Jackson, Rocky Face, Ga.; daughter, Vickie Patterson, Dalton, Ga.; sister, Dorothy Lively, LaFayette; four brothers, Raymond, James, Levi and Nathan Jackson, all of LaFayette; four grandchildren.
Services will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at W.L. Wilson & Sons Funeral Home with the Rev. Billy Jo Cochran officiating.
Burial will be in LaFayette City Cemetery.
Visitation will be today after 3 p.m., all day Saturday and Sunday morning before the service at the funeral home.

MARIETTA - James Sidney Johnston died Tuesday, May 11, 1999. He was 58.
Services will be today at 10 a.m. at Peachtree Christian Church with the Rev. Neal Ponder officiating.
Burial will be at 2 p.m. in Hamilton Memorial Gardens, Chattanooga.

Survivors include two sisters, Mirtha Kilgore, Calhoun, and Cynthia Kilgore, Dalton; three nieces and two nephews.
Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Peeples Funeral Home with the Rev. Clayton Brown officiating.
Burial will be in United Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be today from 5 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

CALHOUN - Gene Bernard Parker died Wednesday, May 12, 1999, in an area health care facility. He was 63.
He was the son of the late Taylor P. and Dovie Dover Parker.
Survivors include four sisters, Edna Gravitt, Lois Vrhel and Doris Duncan, all of Calhoun, and Willie Mae Hyde, Crystal River, Fla.; three brothers, Howard and Charles Parker, both of Calhoun, and Emory Parker, South Pittsburg.

Burial will be in Blackwood Springs Cemetery.
Roxie Brown
FORT PAYNE, AL - Roxie Brown died Wednesday, May 12, 1999, in an area hospital. She was 66.
Survivors include her husband, Herbert Brown; a brother, Aaron Abernathy, Shiloh; four sisters, Martha Lacy, Rossville, Rosalene Lacy, Willene Brown and Betty Tucker, all of Rainsville.

BRYANT - Mary Virginia "Roxie' Worley died Tuesday, May 11, 1999, at her home. She was 88.

Fred Austin
DALTON, Ga. - L. Fred Austin died Sunday, April 4, 1999, in an area hospital. He was 85.
He was a poet, a retired attorney and past president of the Broward County, Fla., Bar Association.
He graduated cum laude from the University of Miami Law School, spent 14 years on the Miami Police force and served as a commando (emergency response squad), which was the forerunner of today's SWAT team.
Survivors include his wife, Madylenne Spangler Austin,; two sons, David Austin, St. Augustine, Fla., and Scott Austin, Dalton; a brother, John M. Austin, Perry, N.Y.; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Services will be today at 3 p.m. at Love Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Florida.
The family will receive friends following the service.
Zelma Brandon
RINGGOLD, Ga. - Zelma Lee Brandon died Saturday, April 3, 1999, in a local hospital. She was 52.
She was formerly of Barbourville, Ky., and a Baptist.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Finley Mills Jr., and a sister, Loretta Mills.
Survivors include her husband, James Brandon; daughter, Lisa Carter, Ringgold; three sisters, Evelyn Keene, London, Ky., Bea Centers and Betty Mills, both of Louisville, Ky.; three brothers, Russell and Estil Mills, both of Jarvis, Ky., and Uless Mills, Gray, Ky.
Services will be today at 4 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home, Battlefield Parkway, with the Rev. Les Fauntleroy officiating.
Burial will be in Lakewood Memory Gardens, South.
