James Colston
CALHOUN, Ga. - The Rev. James Thomas Colston died Wednesday, Sept. 16, 1998, in an area hospital. He was 77.
He was an ordained Baptist minister having pastored several churches in Bartow County, Ga. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, a member of Calhoun Baptist Church and Adairsville Masonic Lodge.
Survivors include his wife, Florine Mashburn Colston; two daughters, Charlie Reeves, Marietta, Ga., and Dorothy Moss, Adairsville; two sisters, Ladell Dover, Cartersville and Nannie Millard, Mableton, Ga.; two brothers, Edward Colston and Douglas Colston, both of Taylorsville, Ga.; one grandchild and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Oothcalooga Baptist Church in Adairsville with the Rev. Leroy Whitfield and the Rev. Allen Crosby officiating.
Burial will be in Eastview Cemetery.
Visitation was to be today after 3 p.m. at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at the church.
Robert Boleman
LaFAYETTE - Robert Henry "Uncle Bob' Boleman died Thursday, May 20, 1999, at Cozy Manor Assisted Living Home in LaFayette. He was 89.
Formerly of Atlanta, he was a former member of Eastland Road Methodist Church and had held every office there.
He was a member of Grant Park Masonic Lodge 604 for 55 years, and was presented with a 50-year pin. He was a member of Grant Park Chapter 45 Royal Arch Masons, the Scottish Rite, Valley of Atlanta, Yaarab Shrine Temple and Grant Park Chapter 178 Order of the Eastern Star.
He was employed with MARTA of Atlanta and was a member of the MARTA Retirees Club and First United Methodist Church of LaFayette.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sara Boleman.
Survivors include a brother, W.O. "Bill' Boleman, Ooltewah; several nieces and nephews.
Services will be today at 4 p.m. at LaFayette Funeral Home with Bishop Bevel Jones and others officiating.
Burial will be in McWilliams Cemetery.
Visitation will be one hour before the service at the funeral home.
Leonard Cooper
CHATSWORTH - Leonard Cooper died Thursday, May 19, 1999, at his home. He was 66.
Mr. Cooper was the owner of Cooper's Garage in Ringgold for 20 years and a member of Welcome Hill Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Anita Cooper.
Survivors include his wife, Ethel Cooper; three sons, James and Lamar Cooper, both of Ringgold, and Lonnie Cooper, Chatsworth; three daughters, Sheila Cooper, Ringgold, Janie Smartt and Connie Napier, both of Chatsworth; three brothers, Homer Cooper, Ringgold, Eli Cooper, Cohutta, and Ronald Cooper, Dalton; a sister, Elizabeth Holland, Dalton; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be today at 2 p.m. at Wallis-Stewart Funeral Home with the Rev. Randy Bell officiating.
Burial will be in Catoosa Memorial Gardens in Ringgold.
Aurora Cox
DALTON - Aurora Bandy Cox died Thursday, May 20, 1999, in an area health care facility. She was 85.
She was the widow of Glenn Cox.
Survivors include a brother, Itzel Bandy, Cleveland, Tenn.; several nieces and nephews.
Services will be today at 2 p.m. at Peeples Funeral Home with the Rev. Kenneth Godfrey officiating.
Burial will be in Whitfield Memorial Gardens.
Albert Dover
SUMMERVILLE - Albert W. "Tub' Dover died Thursday, May 20, 1999, in an area nursing home. He was 85.
Mr. Dover was a Baptist and was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille Dover; a son, David Dover; and two daughters, Vinnie and Sadie Dover.
Survivors include three daughters, Shirley Nelson, Summerville, Brenda Wilson, LaFayette, and Peggy Boss, Swainsboro, Ga.; three sons, Tommy Dover, Trion, Roy L. and Marvin Dover, both of Summerville; sister, Lois Green, Summerville; brother, Tiny Dover, Rock Spring, Ga.; 16 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Services will be today at 2 p.m. at Erwin-Petitt Funeral Home with the Rev. Jimmy Wilburn and the Rev. Lewis Pearce officiating.
Burial will be in West Hill Cemetery.
Lillian Duke
LaFAYETTE - Lillian Thomas Duke died Thursday, May 20, 1999, in a life care center in East Ridge. She was 84.
Services will be today at 4 p.m. at LaFayette Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Art Pflug officiating.
Burial will be in LaFayette Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to LaFayette Presbyterian Church of Chattanooga Hospice.
The family will receive friends today from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. at Wallis-Wilbanks Funeral Home, LaFayette.
Frank Dunn
DALTON - Frank Dunn died Thursday, May 20, 1999, at an area hospital. He was 65.
He was a son of the late Waldo and Essie Green Dunn and the father of the late Carol Dunn.
Survivors include a son, Eddie Dunn, Dalton; several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be today at 1 p.m. at Ponders Funeral Home with the Rev. Bobby Waters officiating.
Burial will be in Patterson cemetery in Fannin County, Ga.
Linda Hale
CHICKAMAUGA - Linda Darlene Hale died Thursday, May 20, 1999, in a local hospital. She was 50.
Mrs. Hale, a native of Portsmouth, Va., had lived in the Chattanooga and North Georgia areas most of her life.
She was a taslan operator with Rossville Mills, where she worked for more than 20 years. She was a member of Fourth Avenue Church of God in Chattanooga.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Edward and Ella Mae Eckert.
Survivors include her husband, Lester "Don' Hale; two daughters, Tonya Darlene Hale, Chickamauga, and Lisa Ann York, Ringgold; two sons, Ronald Allen Hale, Decatur, Ala., and Michael Wayne Hale, Flintstone, Ga.; four sisters, Melinda Jennings, Virginia, Barbara Kindred and Edna McCary, both of Chattanooga, and Neva Elmore, Hartsville, Tenn.; a brother, Eddie Eckert, California; and 11 grandchildren.
The funeral will be today at 2:30 p.m. at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home with the Rev. Mark McGuire officiating.
Burial will be in Lakewood Memory Gardens, South.
The family will receive friends today before the service at the funeral home.

ROSSVILLE - Glenn Johnson died Thursday, May 20, 1999, in a local hospital. He was 54.
