Alice Dunn
LaFAYETTE, Ga. - Alice Puryear Dunn died Monday, Feb. 2, 1998, in an area hospital. She was 87.
Mrs. Dunn was a member of Center Point Baptist Church, the widow of George Cordell Dunn, and the mother of the late Dot Swader.
Survivors include three daughters, Martha Franklin and Mildred Fitzpatrick, both of Chickamauga, Norma Jean Eaton, Rock Spring; two sons, Robert L. "Bob' Dunn, LaFayette, Bill Dunn, Flintstone, Ga.; one sister, Mrs. Bertha Haynes, Conyers, Ga.; 14 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Center Point Baptist Church with the Rev. Charles Cornwell officiating.
Burial will be in Center Point Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Wallis-Wilbanks Funeral Home, LaFayette.
Aubrey Leon "Bo' Dyer Jr.
TRENTON, Ga. - Services for Aubrey Leon "Bo' Dyer Jr., former owner and president of Dyer Chevrolet in Trenton, will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Ryan Funeral Home here with the Rev. Walter Weikel, the Rev. and Hon. Sam Payne and Larry Case officiating.
Burial will be in Lake Hills Memorial Gardens here.
Mr. Dyer died Friday, Jan. 23, 1998, at his home. He was 67.
He also had served as president and owner of Dyer Lumber Co. from 1979-94 and had been the owner of Bo Dyer Land and Realty Co. since 1962.
He was the son of the late Aubrey L. and Jimmylou Mason Dyer.
Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Ellen Cate Morrison Dyer; two daughters, Cindy Dyer, Chattanooga, and Abby Dyer Franklin, Trenton; two sons, Lee and Doug Dyer, both of Chattanooga; sister, Rose Moore, Trenton; and seven grandchildren.
The family will receive friends today from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Trenton United Methodist Church or Baylor School, in care of the Bo Dyer Endowment Fund, or to the American Cancer Society.
Harold Eddingfield
Harold P. Eddingfield of Fort Oglethorpe, Ga., died Wednesday, Jan. 28, 1998, in a local hospital.
A native of South Bend, Ind., he had lived in the Fort Oglethorpe area for the past 32 years.
Mr. Eddingfield was formerly employed as a jeweler and watch repairman. He also had formerly served as a Justice of the Peace in Catoosa County, Ga., and as a president of the Lions Club. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and a Protestant.
Survivors include his wife, Jeri Eddingfield; two stepdaughters, Janis Pierce, Fort Oglethorpe, and Sandra Daniel, East Ridge; a stepson, Wayne Eddingfield, Ringgold, Ga.; and three stepgrandchildren.
Graveside services will be conducted Friday at 11:30 a.m. in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
Arrangements are by the W.L. Wilson & Sons Funeral Home, Fort Oglethorpe.
Thomas Ellison
Thomas Ralph "Tommy' Ellison of Chickamauga, Ga., died Saturday, Feb. 14, 1998, at his home. He was 60.
A councilman for nine years, he owned and operated Ellison Towing Service.
Survivors include his wife, Pat Ellison; one daughter, Cindy Ellison of Chattanooga; one son, Tod Ellison of Peachtree City, Ga.; and one sister, Esto Young of LaFayette, Ga.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at the LaFayette Funeral Home, with the Rev. Ralph Clark officiating.
The family will receive friends today from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Steven Feeley
CHATSWORTH, Ga. - The body of Steven Paul Feeley of Chatsworth was found Sunday, Feb. 1, 1998, after being missing since 1996. He would have been 40.
Survivors include his wife, Janice Ozment Feeley; a daughter, Lee Ann Feeley; and two sons, R.J. Feeley and Mark Feeley, all of Chatsworth; mother and stepfather, Sally and Victor Letendre, Tucker, Ga.; brother, Richard Feeley, Marietta, Ga.; and sister, Terri Sanders, Lilburn, Ga.
Services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at First United Methodist Church in Chatsworth with the Rev. Charlz McDonald and the Rev. John Bagley officiating.
Burial will follow in Chatsworth Heights Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Peeples Funeral Home, Chatsworth, Friday from 7 to 9 p.m.
Beulah Fields
RINGGOLD, Ga. - Beulah Genely Fields died Tuesday, Jan. 27, 1998, in an area hospital. She was 80.
She was a Baptist and was the widow of Monroe Fields.
Survivors include a daughter, Mary Catlin, Ringgold; five sons, Lawrence E. Crowder, Sweetwater, Tenn., Clifford A. Crowder, Mesquite, Texas, LeRoy Crowder, Princeton, Texas, and Troy and Lloyd Crowder, both of Decatur, Tenn.; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at the East Chapel of the Chattanooga Funeral Home, with the Rev. Lamar Deitz officiating.
Burial will be Saturday at 1 p.m. in Piney Grove cemetery in Monroe County, Tenn., with the Rev. Ronnie Torbett officiating.
The family will receive friends today and Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Lula Fletcher
Lula J. Fletcher died Tuesday, Feb. 17, 1998, in a Carrollton, Ga., hospital. She was 95.
A native of Murfreesboro, Tenn., she had been a longtime resident of Chattanooga, before moving to Carrollton recently. She was a member of the Brainerd United Methodist Church.
She was the widow of Jesse Jordan Fletcher, and the mother of the late Robert G. Fletcher and Elizabeth F. Carter.
Survivors include one son, John Fletcher, Carrollton; and a daughter, Claire F. Standifer, Nashville; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m. at Heritage Funeral Home, East Brainerd Road, with the Rev. Harper Sasser officiating.
Burial will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends today from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Barbara Ann Foubert
CALHOUN, Ga. - Barbara Ann Foubert died Monday, Jan. 19, 1998, in an automobile accident. She was 59.
Services will be held Saturday at 3 p.m. at the East Calhoun Church of God, with the Rev. Mike Gresham and the Rev. Bobby Coker officiating.
Burial will be in the Haven of Rest Memorial Park Cemetery.
The family will receive friends today from 6 to 10 p.m. at Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home in Calhoun.
Lloyd Fountain
CALHOUN, Ga. - Lloyd Fountain died Friday, Jan. 23, 1998, at a local hospital. He was 71.
Services will be today at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Calhoun with Dr. Bert Vaughn officiating.
Burial will be in Chandler Cemetery.
