Wesley McDaniel
RINGGOLD, Ga. - Wesley B. McDaniel died Monday, Feb. 2, 1998, in a local hospital. He was 81.
WesleyMcDaniel He was a lifelong resident of Catoosa County and was a member of Lakeview First Baptist Church.
Mr. McDaniel was retired from the Quality Control Department of 3M Corporation and was a former assistant scoutmaster of the Lakeview Boy Scout Troop.
He was the owner of the MC Ranch and was preceded in death by his wife, Jessie Ensley McDaniel.
Survivors include a son, Dr. Burton McDaniel, Alpharetta, Ga.; daughter, Sylvia McDaniel Brooks, Chattanooga; and three grandchildren.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Heritage Funeral Home, East Brainerd Road, with Dr. Paul Frick officiating.
Burial will be in Salem Cemetery.
The family will receive friends today from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
James McDaris
ROCKY FACE, Ga. - James "Bobby' McDaris died Friday, Feb. 13, 1998, at his home. He was 50.
He was the son of the late James Oscar "Mr. Mac' and Nora Carroll McDaris.
Survivors include one daughter, Hali McDaris of Tunnel Hill, Ga.; three sisters, Lois Ezell of Rocky Face, Alice Sloan of Dalton, Ga., and Joan Ponder of Tunnel Hill; and one brother, Clyde McDaris of Rocky Face.
Funeral services will be held today at 3:30 p.m. at the Love Funeral Home in Dalton, with the Rev. J. Glenn Moseley officiating.
Burial will follow in the Dunagan Cemetery.
Clarence McDonald
LaFAYETTE, Ga. - Clarence McDonald died Tuesday, Feb. 17, 1998, in an area nursing home. He was 73.
The Chattooga County native attended the Church of Christ.
Survivors include four sisters, Elsie Dean, LaFayette, Faye McWhorter, Graysville, Lena Tinney, Dallas, and Ruby Adams, Villa Rica; and a brother, Glen McDonald, Centre, Ala.
The funeral will be Thursday at 4 p.m. at Wallis-Wilbanks Funeral Home with Minister Joe Riggs officiating.
Burial will be in Trion Cemetery.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Donnie Mae McFarland
Donnie Mae McFarland of Rossville, Ga., died Sunday, Jan. 18, 1998, in an area hospital.
Services will be held today at 1:30 p.m. at Shady Grove Baptist Church, Chickamauga, with the Rev. John Foster officiating.
Burial will be in Wallaceville Cemetery.
Arrangements are by Franklin-Strickland Funeral Home.
Elmer McKeehan
RINGGOLD, Ga. - Elmer D. McKeehan of Charleston, S.C., formerly of Ringgold, died Wednesday, Feb. 4, 1998.
Mr. McKeehan was retired from the U.S. Army, serving during the Korean War with the 24th Infantry Division.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth Hannah McKeehan; one daughter, Patricia Partian, Elberton, Ga.; one son, Larry McKeehan, Columbia, S.C.; one sister, Fran Swenson, Brea, Calif.; two brothers, Roy McKeehan, Ringgold, Melvin McKeehan, Hixson; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Services will be held Friday in Charleston.
Arrangements are announced locally by Wallis-Stewart Funeral Home, Ringgold.
Homer Minter
CALHOUN, Ga. - Homer L. Minter died Sunday, Feb. 8, 1998, in an area hospital. He was 82.
He was the widower of Margaret Minter, a retried textile employee and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include three sons, Alton Minter, Powder Springs, Ga., Troy Minter, Piedmont, Ala., and Ray Minter, Rabbitown, Ala.; and one stepson, Gary Griffith, Jacksonville, Ala.; and three stepdaughters, Gail Gallman, Calhoun, Becky Rhodes, Resaca, Ga., Joyce Howard, Oxford, Ala.
Services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home with the Rev. Billy Barton officiating.
Burial will follow in the Chandler Cemetery.
Visitation will be today after noon.
Hoke Miolen
DALTON, Ga. - Hoke M. Miolen died Thursday, Feb. 12, 1998, at a Dalton hospital. He was 79.
Survivors include his wife, Hazel Edwards Miolen; two daughters, Lyvonne Walker, Dalton, and Rita Miolen, Atlanta; three sons, Steve Miolen, Cocoa, Fla., and Chris and James Arthur Miolen, both of Dalton; three stepsons, Kenneth Caldwell, Chatsworth, Lloyd Caldwell, Dalton, and Larry Caldwell, LaFayette; sister, Ruby Pratt, Atlanta; brother, Ray Miolen, Dalton; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be Saturday at 3 p.m. at Love Funeral Home.
Burial will be in West Hill Cemetery.

Ellie Mitchell
DALTON, Ga. - Ellie Welch Mitchell died Saturday, Feb. 7, 1998, in an Atlanta hospital. She was 81.
She was the widow of James Mitchell; and the mother of the late Ed Mitchell.
Survivors include one daughter, Evelyn Cornelison, Forest Park, Ga.; one sister, Louise Lowery, Dalton; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Love Funeral Home.
Burial will follow in West Hill Cemetery.

James Hollway
DALTON, Ga. - James P. Hollway, formerly of Dalton, died Tuesday, Feb. 10, 1998, at his home in San Diego, Calif. He was 80.
He was retired from E&B; Carpet Mill here.
Survivors include his wife, Jane Hollway, San Diego; two daughters, Kathy Pavini, California, and Vicky Mitchell, Dalton; son, Jim Hollway, Texas; brother, William Hollway, Michigan; and eight grandchildren.
The funeral will be in Santa Monica.

Cleo Morton
Cleo Delma Morton of Lookout Mountain, Ga., West Brow community, died Friday, Feb. 6, 1998, in a local nursing home. She was 87.
The lifelong Lookout Mountain resident was the widow of the late Rev. Gordon Morton. She was a West Brow Holiness Church member.
She was preceded in death by two daughters, Geraldine Tuder and Mary Selders.
Survivors include four daughters, Helen Vaughn, Trenton, Ga., Lois Langley, Louise McKenzie and Barbara Utz, all of Lookout Mountain; two sons, Raymond Morton, Rossville, and Howard Morton, Lookout Mountain; two sisters, Ollie Sizemore, Lookout Mountain, and Gladys Voiles, Trenton; brother, Paul Voiles, Chattanooga; 20 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren.
Services will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home with the Rev. Claude Wooten and the Rev. James McLain officiating.
Burial will be in Lake Hills Memorial Gardens, Trenton.
