Warner E. Hosey Sr.
Warner Elbert Hosey Sr., 81, of 13 Louise St., died Friday at Hospice LaGrange.
Mr. Hosey, born Sept. 29, 1921, in Sylacauga, Ala., was the son of the late John Thomas and Glennie Irene Manning Hosey. He had lived here most of his life, was an Army veteran of World War II and retired from West Point Pepperell. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Hazel Denney Hosey of LaGrange; four sons and daughters - in - law, Warner E. Hosey Jr. of Syracuse, N.Y., and Phillip and Gail Hosey, Clifford and Dale Hosey and Bobby and Patti Hosey, all of LaGrange; two daughters and sons - in - law, Glenda and Paul McDaniel of Pine Mountain and Sue and David Thomas of LaGrange; 21 grandchildren, 16 great - grandchildren; two great - great - grandchildren; a sister, Clara Bates; two half sisters, Annie Walston and Margaret Blackmon; and a half brother, Henry Johnson, all of Alabama; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Sunday at 3 p.m. in the Hunter - Allen - Myhand chapel with the Revs. Charles Chapman and Roland Cross officiating. Burial will be in Restlawn Memory Gardens.
The family will be at his home and will recieve friends at the funeral home this evening from 7 until 9.

Billy J. Glanton
The Rev. Billy J. Glanton, 55, pastor of Greater Jehovah Baptist Church in Grantville, died Tuesday at Newnan Hospital.
Survivors include a loving wife, Annette Glanton; a son and daughter - in - law, Jarris and Zenola Glanton; and two grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Friday at Greater Jehovah Baptist Church in Grantville with his brother, the Rev. Charlie Glanton, officiating. Burial will be in Grantville City cemetery with full military honors. The body will be at the church from noon until the hour of service.
The family will be at his home at 67 Roger Arnold Road in Grantville.
Thrash and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville is in charge of arrangements.

Bowman Estes
W. Bowman Estes, 75, of 3065 New Franklin Road died Tuesday at Florence Hand Home.
Mr. Estes, born Oct. 15, 1927, in Troup County, was the son of the late John Walter and Hattie Bowman Estes. He had lived here most of his life and retired as a GE appliance repairman. He was a member of Dunson Baptist Church where he had been a choir director and a deacon. He was a member of Union Lodge #28 Free and Accepted Masons, was a 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason and a member of the Yaarab Shrine Temple in Atlanta. He was an Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include two daughters and sons - in - law, Deborah and Stan Sheppard of Marietta and Cindy and Bob Swabski of Meriden, Conn.; a son and daughter - in - law, Bo and Debbie Estes of Liberty, N.C.; four grandchildren, Dee Kelley, Morgan Estes and Bowan Cheek all of LaGrange and Kendal Adamson of Dallas; and one sister, Eucaline Upchurch of LaGrange. He was preceded in death by a brother and three sisters.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Dunson Baptist Church with the Rev. Bill Bryant officiating. Burial will be in Shadowlawn Cemetery.
The family will receive friends this evening at Hunter - Allen - Myhand Funeral Home from 6 until 9.
Flowers will be accepted or those desiring may contribute to Dunson Baptist Church in memory of Mr. Estes.

Joanne Lovenguth
Mrs. Joanne Lovenguth, 75, of LaGrange died Monday at Hospice LaGrange.
Mrs. Lovenguth, born march 2, 1928, was the daughter of the late Jerome and Mildred Landfeld Sheely. She retired from the J.C. Penney Company and the K - Mart Corporation. She was Catholic.
Survivors include a daughter, Carol Franks of Palm Coast, Fla.; a son, Steve Lovenguth of LaGrange; a brother, Dr. Milton Sheely of Joshua Tree, Calif.; and a granddaughter, Alison Lovenguth of Statesboro.
Memorial services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Striffler - Hamby Mortuary with Tom Steele officiating.
The family will receive friends immediately after the service.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Hospice LaGrange at 1510 Vernon Road, LaGrange, Ga., 30240 in memory of Mrs. Lovenguth.

William G. Bowley
William Greene Bowley, 60, of LaGrange died Monday at his home.
Mr. Bowley, born March 26, 1943, in Montgomery, Ala., was the son of the late William Leo Jr. and Gladys Louise Greene Bowley. He was a retired millwright and avid gun collector.
Survivors include two daughters.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Georgia State Sheriff’s Association, P.O. Box 1000, Stockbridge, Ga., 30281.
Striffler - Hamby Mortuary at 1010 Mooty Bridge Road is in charge of arrangements.

Funeral services for Earnest Hardy, 85, of Franklin, will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at New Springs Congregational Methodist Church in Heard County. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 this evening at Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville.

Mrs. Joanne Lovenguth, 75, of LaGrange died Monday at Hospice LaGrange.
Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later by Striffler - Hamby Mortuary at 1010 Mooty Bridge Road.

Ollie Lee Stinson
Mrs. Ollie Lee Stinson, 81, formerly of 105 Niles St., died Thursday at West Georgia Medical Center.
Mrs. Stinson, born Feb. 16, 1922. in Troup County, was the daughter of the late Curtis and Lula White. She was a former employee at the truck stop and was an active member of First Baptist Church on Fannin Street until declining health.
Survivors include five devoted sons and daughters - in - law, James Jr. and Mattie Stinson, Henry and Lula Stinson. William and Nell Stinson, and Terry and Cassandra Stinson, all of LaGrange and Sanford and Sherry Stinson of Kingsland; two sisters, Jessie Patrick and Louise Tucker, both of LaGrange; 17 grandchildren, 21 great - grandchildren; four sisters - in - law, Mamie Thornton, Louise White, Sara Merideth and Leila Mae Stinson; four brothers - in - law, J.C. Stinson, Talley Stinson, George White Sr.; and Oscar Merideth, all of LaGrange; and a number of Cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Stinson Sr. and two sisters, Evaline w. Strickland and Leatha W. Stinson and two brothers, J.D. White and James White.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church on Fannin Street with Dr. Clarence Sams officiating. Burial will be in Southview Cemetery.
The family will be at the homes of her sons, William Stinson, at 215 Jefferson St., Henry Stinson at 731 North Greenwood St., and Terry Stinson at 1005 Stonewall St. and will receive friends at Lakes - Dunson - Robertson Funeral Home this evening from 7 until 8.

Funeral services for Arthur T. Duncan, 93, of Carrollton and formerly of Hogansville will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of the Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home. The Rev. O.C. Collins will officiate. Interment will be the Myrtle Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 to 7 tonight.

Mrs. Lillie Yarbrough
Mrs. Lillie Yarbrough, 83, of Port St. Joe, Fla., formerly of LaGrange. died Friday, Apr. 4 at Gulf Pines Hospital.
Mrs. Yarbrough, born Feb. 23, 1920, in Troup County, was the daughter of Luther T. and Exa Sprayberry Baker. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include a son and daughter - in - law, Tommy and Faye Gray of Winder; a daughter and son - in - law, Connie and Junior Burnett of Honolulu, Hawaii; four grandchildren; six great - grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Murphy of Miami, Fla. and Madie Thompson of Corinth. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lafayette F. (Skeet) Yarbrough.
Funeral services was at 11 a.m. today at East LaGrange Baptist Church with the Rev. David Phillips officiating. Burial will be in Hillview East Cemetery.
Hunter - Allen - Myhand Funeral is in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Louise Culberson
Mrs. Louise “E - Baby” Culberson of 809 East Depot St., died Friday at Hospice LaGrange.
Mrs. Culberson, a native of Chambers County, Ala., was born May 11, 1917. She was the daughter of the late Ernest and Sarah Smedley Wilkes. She was a homemaker and devoted member of Canaan Baptist Church in Welch, Ala.
Survivors include a loving and devoted daughter, Sybil Lockhart; son - in - law, R. Lockhart of Roswell; stepson, Charles (Laverne) Culberson of Detroit, Mich.; grandson, Titus (Gloria) Burden of LaGrange; two granddaughters, Tonia (Gregory) Blanks and Veronica; two great - grandchildren, Titus Jr. and Salandra Burden; two great - great - grandchildren, Kiena and D’Ericka Burden; a sister, Alice Adams of LaGrange; and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Will “J.W.” Culberson.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. at the Saint Paul Baptist Church on Union St. The Rev. Felton James will officiate. Burial will be in Southview Cemetery.
The family will be at their home.
Lakes - Dunson - Robertson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Susan Whitt
Mrs. Susan Littlefield Whitt, 45, of Hogansville, died Saturday at her home. Mrs. Whitt, born April 17, 1957, in LaGrange, was the daughter of Alice Littlefield and the late, James Aubrey Littlefield. She had lived in Troup County most of her life and was a member of the Lighthouse Tabernacle of Jesus Christ. She was employed at Bo - Tex Manufacturing Company in Hogansville.
Survivors in addition to her mother of Hogansville, include three daughters and a son - in - law, Jamie and Michael Friend, Jessica Wade, and Jackie Wade, all of Hogansville; a son, Jody Eugene Wade of Halifax, N.C.; a brother and sister - in - law, James and Gloria Littlefield of Halifax, N.C.; and a special friend, Richard Stokley She was preceded in death by her father and a daughter, Honesty Hope Whitt.
Funeral services will be at Tuesday at 4 p.m. in the Chapel of the Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home. The Rev. Robert Longshore will officiate.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 9 tonight.
