Allen Wall, age 40, of Stockbridge, Georgia died August 1, 2006. Mr. Wall was born
August 13, 1965 in Fulton County, the son of the late Allen Jackson Wall and Evelyn Cooley McDaniel.
He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Evelyn and Bill McDaniel of Stockbridge; three brothers; one sister; and several nieces and nephews.
Services were held August 4 in the Warren Haisten Memorial Chapel. Interment Liberty Hill Baptist Church Cemetery

Ty Whitlock
Ty Whitlock, age 3, of McDonough, Georgia died August 4, 2006. Ty was born
June 7, 2003 in Riverdale, the son of Matt and Terri Whitlock.
He is survived by his parents; brother, Bryce Matthew Whitlock of McDonough; grandparents, Rick and Rita Whitlock of Hampton, Terry Wayne Morris of Dawsonville, Carol G. Morris of Newnan; great-grandparents, Frances Whitlock of Jonesboro, Edward L. Morris of Forest Park, Louise Green of Tampa, Florida; several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Services were held August 7 at Eagle's Landing First Baptist Church, with Dr. Tim Dowdy officiating. Interment Whitlock Family Cemetery

John William Livery
John William Livery, age 71, of Locust Grove, Georgia died August 4, 2006. Mr. Livery was born
September 28, 1934 in Birmingham, Alabama, the son of the late Trilby Brown and Pete Livery. He served his country in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War and was a retired iron worker. He was a member of the McDonough Baptist Tabernacle, enjoyed time with his children and grandchildren and spending time camping. He was preceded in death by a grandson and two great granddaughters.
He is survived by his wife, Alvina Meadows Livery of Hampton; children, Johnny Ray and Tina Livery of Meansville; Freddie and Leslie Livery of Meansville, Rolynda Livery and William Kelley of Dallas, William and Pattie Livery of Forsyth, Michael Livery of Jackson, Thomas Livery of Hampton; 18 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and aunt, Annie Mae Post of Alabama.
Services were held August 13 in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home. Haisten Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Kathleen Turner Baker
Kathleen Turner Baker, age 78, of Riverdale, Georgia died August 5, 2006. Ms. Baker was born
August 16, 1927 in Spalding County, the daughter of the late Maggie Jackson and Gertie Rudolphus Turner. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Riverdale and was retired from A&P Grocery Stores.
She is srvived by her children, Kenneth and Trudy Baker of Rex, Craig A. Baker of Tallahassee, Florida, Cynthia and Phil Woodall of Stockbridge, Karen and Marvin Kiser of Locust, North Carolina, Sharon and Miles O’Neil of Round Rock, Texas , Shelia and Lee Marshall of Griffin; nine grandchildren; one great-grandson; brother, Howard and Jackie Turner of Senoia; sisters, Reba and Cannon McLeroy and Pauline Robinson, both of Riverdale; nieces and nephews.

Donald J. Carver
Donald J. Carver, age 73, of McDonough, Georgia died August 6, 2006. Mr. Carver was born
in Douglas, the son of the late Ransom Clyde and Rhoda Carver. He enjoyed Western movies, loved meal times, and was an avid fisherman. But most important in life was his family. He was a loving husband, father and the world’s best grandfather. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Garland and Buddy Carver.
He is survived by his wife, Inez Shouse Carver; daughters, Angelia (Robert) Mergens, and Laurette (Ricky) Archer, all of McDonough; sisters, Lois Metts and Eloise Ragsdale, both of Douglas; brother, Robert Carver of Atlanta; and grandchildren, Hannah, Caleb, Micah, Abigail, Adam, Jordan, and Phoebe.
Services were held August 9 at McDonough Church of Christ, with Minister Jeff Wilder officiating. Interment Sherwood Memorial Park. Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements.
Phillip D. Hembree
Phillip D. Hembree, age 48, of Jackson, Georgia died August 7, 2006. Mr. Hembree was born
October 15, 1957 in Copper Hill, Tennessee, the son of the late Frank Alvin Hembree, Sr. He was the owner of Buffalo’s Café in Griffin and enjoyed his time at the beach and the lake.
He is survived by his son, Jason Hembree of McDonough; daughter, Ashley Hembree of Atlanta; granddaughter, Jadyn Hembree; mother, Mary Roberts of Jonesboro; brother, Frank Hembree of Stockbridge; sister, Patty Dean of Ellijay; aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Services were held August 11 at McDonough Christian Church, with Pastor Paul Leslie officiating. Interment Chattanooga Memorial Park. Haisten Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
April Joy Grant
April Joy "Smiley" Grant, age 15, of McDonough, Georgia died August 12, 2006. April was born
April 28, 1991 in Henry County. She was a member of Sharon Baptist Church, belonged to After His Heart and Destiny Home School Groups, and a was member of His Masters Voice Choir. Her family and friends referred to her as Smiley and she enjoyed eating out, computers, emailing her friends, Johnny Depp, music, friends and her dog, Mickey. April was preceded in death by grandparents, Donna Calvert and Ralph Fred Grant, Sr.
She is survived by her parents, Fred and Barbara Grant; sister, Candice Davis; brother, Daniel Grant; and nephew, Joseph Davis, all of McDonough; grandparents, Bob and Sandy Calvert of Alfrod, Florida, Elizabeth Grant of Pensacola, Florida; aunts, uncles and cousins.
Services will be held Wednesday, August 16 at 11:00 a.m. at Sharon Baptist Church, with Rev. Gary Lewis officiating. Interment Haisten/Eastlawn Memorial Park. Haisten Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Pummie Dorman Craig
Pummie Dorman Craig, age 78, of McDonough, Georgia died July 26, 2006. Mr. Craig was born
November 6, 1927 in Henry County, the son of the late Mary Irma Leverette and Talmadge William Craig. Mr. Craig was a member of Philadelphia United Methodist Church, served his country in the Merchant Marine Army, retired from Snapper Power Equipment with 37 years as a tool and die fabricator, was a member of McDonough Masonic Lodge #37, Henry County Moose Lodge 2170 and enjoyed flower gardening.
He is survived by his wife, Frances "Eadye" Craig; son, Anthony "Tony" Craig; daughter, Eadye Christensen; grandson, Anthony Mayo; and brother and sister-in-law, Gene and Betty Craig, all of McDonough; sister and brother-in-law, Myrna and Earnest Sowell of McDonough; sisters and brother-in-law, Margaret and Butch Nixon of Stockbridge, Nancy Jones of Jackson; and several nieces and nephews.
Services were held July 29 in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home, with Rev. Gary Boggs officiating. Interment Philadelphia United Methodist Church Cemetery. Haisten Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Heather Jeanne Spina
Heather Jeanne Spina, age 32, of Ellenwood, Georgia died July 28, 2006. Ms. Spina was born
in Long Island, New York, the daughter of Michael Dennis and Karen Lynn Lewis Spina, Sr. Heather loved spending time with her family and enjoyed riding her motorcycle full time. She served in the United States Army, where she spent time in Iraq and Ku-wait. She was a member of the Atlanta Reapers Club in Ellen-wood. She was a devoted daughter, sister, aunt, and friend to many.
She is survived by her parents, Michael and Karen Spina, Sr. of Newberry, Florida; siblings, Shawn and Anthony Holt of Trenton, Florida, Michele Spina, Krista Spina and Andre Johnson, Michael Spina, Jr, and Todd Spina, all of Newberry, Florida; two nieces, one nephew, aunts, uncles and cousins.
