Virginia B. Brannan
Virginia B. Brannan, age 81, of McDonough, Georgia died August 20, 2006. Mrs. Brannan was born in McDonough, the daughter of the late Alexander Kelly and Willie Lee Hill Brown. She loved to do creative writing and enjoyed the fellowship with the Mrs. Winners Gang.
She is survived by her husband, Lamar (Mutt) Brannan of Mc-Donough; sons, Roy Clinton (Jeanne) Matthews, III of Cumming, LeRoy Currie Hobbs, of McDonough; granddaughters, Alexa Kay Moon of Lilburn, Paula Fay Kosinski of Snellville; and sister, Mildred Freeman of Atlanta.
Services were held August 24 in the chapel of Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors, with Rev. Gary DeMore officiating. Interment McDonough City Cemetery. Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements.

James S. Chandler
James S. "Jamie" Chandler, age 83, of McDonough, Georgia, formerly of Gresham Park in DeKalb County, died August 7, 2006. Mr. Chandler was born July 18, 1923 in Rockdale County, the son of the late Jennie Belle Siminton and Henry Steward Chandler. He served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II, was a retired heavy equipment operator, and was a member of Bethany Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Jacqueline Ruth Gresham Chandler; daughter and son-in-law, Jennie and David Etheridge of Rex; son and daughter-in-law, James S. Chandler Jr. and Judy of Fayetteville; grandsons, Brian Ethridge, Josh Chandler; granddaughter, Kristie F. Chandler; several cousins.
Services were held August 11 in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home, with Rev. Al O’Quinn and Rev. Mike Shepard officiating. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to Sacred Journey Hospice or Bethany Baptist Church Building Fund in memory of Mr. Chandler. Haisten Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Eddie Monroe Wise, Sr.
Eddie Monroe Wise, Sr., age 79, of Hampton, Georgia died August 9, 2006. Mr. Wise was born in Henry County, the son of the late Roy and Jessie Stewart Wise. He loved to travel, but most important to him was his church, children, and grandchildren. His greatest wish was to see his great-grandtwins born and he did.
He is survived by his wife, Maurine Wise of Hampton; children, Eddie (Kathy) Wise of Hampton, Sheila (Paul) Justus of Griffin, Debbie Wise of Locust Grove; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brother, Gaines (Ruth Ann) Wise of McDonough; and sister, Ann (Alvin) Hall of Palatka, Florida.
Services were held August 11 at County Line Congregational Christian Church, with Dr. Mike Halsey and Eddie Wise, Jr. officiating. Interment County Line Congregational Christian Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the County Line Church Building Fund, 2332 Jonesboro Road, Hampton, Georgia, 30228 or Sacred Journey Hospice, 138 Peach Drive, McDonough, Georgia, 30253. Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements.

Ida Elizabeth Bartlett Allen
Ida Elizabeth Bartlett Allen, age 91, of McDonough, Georgia died August 10, 2006. Mrs. Allen was born in Clayton County, the daughter of the late Effie Couglar and Argus Aldolphus Bartlett. She was a devoted homemaker who enjoyed cooking, flower gardening, quilting and her cats. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Allen; son, Ernest Eugene Allen; grandchildren, Linda Shelton, Leon Samuel Allen and Anthony Eugene Wildermuth.
She is survived by her children, Argus Bill Allen and wife Shirley of Hillsboro, Andy Harold Allen of Griffin, Elizbeth Inez Allen of McDonough; 14 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren, and several great-great-grandchildren; sister, Edith Louise Puckett of Lavonia; and several nieces and nephews and friends.
Services were held August 12 in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home, with Rev. Robert Presley officiating. Interment Flippen Cemetery. Haisten Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Roy Eubanks, Jr.
Roy Eubanks, Jr., age 64, of Fayettville, Georgia died August 11, 2006. Mr. Eubanks was born in Atlanta, the son of the late Roy Simpson and Juanita Manor Eubanks, Sr.
He is survived by his daughters, Rebecca Lynn Dorminy and Cynthia Kay Bray, both of Duluth; son, Roy Edward Eubanks of McDonough; six grandchildren; and sister, Sandra Hesmondhalgh of Douglasville.
Services were held August 16 at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors in charge arrangements.

Jessie Lee Cox Montgomery
Jessie Lee Cox Montgomery, age 83, of Stockbridge, Georgia died August 12, 2006. Mrs. Montgomery was born March 29, 1923 in New Harmony, Indiana, the daughter of the late Fannie Mae Cox.
She is survived by her loving husband, James A. Montgomery of Stockbridge; children, Lana Kay Atkinson of McDonough, Gloria Jean Lee of Locust Grove; grandchildren, Missy Elliot, Jennifer Waddell, Mike Lester, Jimmy Lester; great-grandchildren, Brandy and Cody Elliot, Caleb, Rachel and Hannah Waddell.
Services were held August 14 in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home, with Rev. Chris Reynolds and Rev. Chris Waddell officiating. Interment Sherwood Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers those who wish may make donations to Faith Promise Mission Field, Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 7102 Mt. Zion Blvd., Jonesboro, Georgia, 30236. Haisten Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Gwendolyn Jeannette Robinson Yancey
Gwendolyn Jeannette Robinson Yancey, age 54, of Hampton, Georgia died August 12, 2006. Mrs. Yancey was born April 14, 1952 in Troup County. She enjoyed her work in hotel management, reading and being with family and friends. She was a member of Springhill Baptist Church in LaGrange.
She is survived by her husband, Troy Yancey of Forest Park; son, Scott Lamar Dowling of Hampton; parents, Sammie and Shirley Robinson of Hampton; sisters, Sandra Miller of Dahlonega, Marie Standish of LaGrange, Patricia Russell of Illinois, Brenda Mosley of Tennessee; aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Services were held August 15 in the chapel of Strifter Hamby Funeral Home, with Rev. Jody Mitchell and Rev. Buddy Fowler officiating. Interment Meadoway Garden Cemetery. Haisten Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Martha A. Vernon
Martha A. Vernon, age 70, died August 13, 2006.
She is survived by her children, Kay Knight and husband Douglas and Donna Ratliff, all of Mississippi, Barbara Morgan and husband Joey of Morrow, Mike Vernon of Stockbridge, Rita Barber of Stockbridge; companion, Leroy Keller of Stockbridge; sister, Dell Lee of Arkansas; grandchildren, Diane, Paul, Steve, Griff, Nick, Jenny, Dwayne, Samantha, Tinny, Chevy, Alex; several great-grandchildren.
Services were held August 16 at Ward’s Fairview Chapel. Interment Mt. Harmony Memorial Gardens in Mableton. Horis A. Ward Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Gloria Evelyn Phillips Lemaster
Gloria Evelyn Phillips Lemaster, age 78, of Stock-bridge, Georgia died August 13, 2006. Mrs. Lemaster was born September 1, 1927 in Birming-ham, Alabama, the daughter of the late Rosa Clyde Smith and Howard Herbert Phillips. She was a loving mother and nanny who enjoyed shopping, cooking and being with her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Jackson Lemaster; daughter, Connie Lynn Lanier; brothers, Clyde Smith and Herbert Phillips.
She is survived by her sons, Thomas and Jimmie Lemaster, both of Fayetteville, Reginald Lemaster of Stockbridge; son-in-law, Carl Lanier of Stock-bridge; niece, Ronda Goldsmith of Charleston, South Carolina; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Services were held August 17 in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home, with Rev. Stanley Smith officiating. Interment College Park Cemetery. Haisten Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

John Timothy Albea
John Timothy Albea, age 44, of Locust Grove, Georgia died July 31, 2006. Mr. Albea was born in Charlotte, North Carolina on October 13, 1961, the son of the late Betty Jo Spivey and John Com Albea, Jr. He was a Lt. Fireman with the City of McDonough and a member of Salem Baptist Church. He enjoyed his family, animals, shopping, NASCAR, painting and serving his community as a fireman.
He is survived by his wife, Ronda Albea of Locust Grove; children, Jennifer and Quory Adamson of Locust Grove, Sabrina Albea of Jonesboro, J. T. Albea of Locust Grove; brother, Kenny of Albermarle, North Carolina; sister, Sandra Middlebrooks of Hampton; and several nieces and nephews.
Services were held August 3 in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home, with Rev. Andy Scott officiating. Interment Haisten/Eastlawn Memorial Park. Haisten Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
