The family will be at the home of her daughter, Carrie Tucker, 56 Apricot St.

Robert Lee Cardwell Sr., of LaGrange, died Tuesday at West Georgia Medical Center.
Mr. Cardwell, born November 11, 1931 in Troup County, was the son of the late Walter and Ruby Lee Williams Cardwell. He was a painter and member of the Baptist Tabernacle. Mr. Cardwell had lived in LaGrange all of his life.
Survivors include, a son and daughter - in - law, Bobby and Angie Cardwell; two grandsons, Lee Cardwell III and Brent Cardwell. all of LaGrange; two daughters, Joan Brewer and Sandra Adcox of Cusseta, Ala.; a great - granddaughter, Aubrey Madison of LaGrange; two brothers, J.W. Cardwell of LaGrange and Shirley Cardwell of Houston, Texas; two sisters, Leona Johnson of LaGrange and Dorothy Clay of Texas; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brothers, John Cardwell, Blake Cardwell, and Floyd Cardwell, and his sister, Katie Gosdin.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday from the Chapel of Striffler - Hamby Mortuary with the Revs. Jimmy McMillian and James Moon officiating. Interment will be in Shadowlawn Cemetery.
The family will greet friends this evening from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.

Ted Hampton Jr.
Theodore M. 'Ted' Hampton Jr., of LaGrange, died Wednesday at the Emory University Medical Center.
Mr. Hampton, born January 14, 1932, was the son of the late Theodore M. and Amy Tidwell Hampton. He was a 1950 graduate of LaGrange High School and a 1954 graduate of Auburn University where he was a member of Phi Delta Theta Fraternity.
Mr. Hampton was a member of Southwest LaGrange Baptist Church and was retired from Anheuser - Busch as vice president with their industrial products division with 31 years of service.
Survivors include his wife, Dot Hampton of LaGrange; two daughters, Jennifer Lynn Hampton of Hogansville and Kathryn Hampton Cicio of Roswell; two grandchildren, Karen Kraul of Charleston, S.C., and Jim Kraul of Roswell; and a brother, John T. Hampton of Decatur.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday from the cryptside in Restlawn Memory Gardens with the Rev. Max McCord officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the donor's favorite charity.

Billy R. Mitchell
Billy R. Mitchell, 76, died Wednesday at 528 Lower Glass Bridge Road.
Mr. Mitchell, born Aug. 9, 1926, in Carroll County, was the son of the late Newman Grady and Addie South Mitchell. He had lived in Troup County since 1947 and was of the Baptist Faith.
Mr. Mitchell was a loving husband of 55 years and loving Daddy. He was a retired driver for the Bowman Transportation Company after 38 years service and was a Navy veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Monteen Mitchell; two daughters and son - in - law, Jolly Zeunges of LaGrange and Shelia and Tommy Champion of Pine Mountain; a son and daughter - in - law, Larry and Becky Mitchell of LaGrange; eight grandchildren and their spouses, Laura and Tim Colley, Thomas Champion III, Craig and Jenny Zeunges, Todd Mitchell, Leigh C. and Shannon Beall, Chad Zeunges, Chris and Lisa Mitchell, and Scott Powell; four great - grandchildren, Gavin Colley, Shelby Crooks, Brandon Colley, and Hayden Mitchell; three sisters, Alma Richardson of LaGrange, Inez Hubbard and Jeanett Henderson; and two brothers Cecil Mitchell and Junior Mitchell, all of Bowdon; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in the Chapel of Hunter - Allen - Myhand with the Rev. Mike Sinyard officiating. Burial will be in Restlawn Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home this evening from 6 to 8.

Mrs. Ida B. Peterson
Mrs. Ida Broome Peterson, 98, of 807 Greenville St., died Saturday, Nov. 2 at her residence.
Mrs. Peterson, born June 28, 1904, in Chambers County, Ala., was the daughter of the late George and Rilla Patterson Broome.
Mrs. Peterson was a housewife and member of the New Mt. Olive Baptist Church where she once was a faithful and dedicated member. She was a member of the U.B.A. Society Lodge.
Survivors include two daughters, Dorothy Peterson and Vivian C. Peterson of LaGrange; a son, George W. and Jacklyn Peterson of Seattle, Wash.; six grandchildren, Gwinuette Young, Coretha and Melvin Easter, Joe L. Peterson, all of LaGrange, Stanley and Debbie Peterson of Roanoke, Va.; and Tracy D. Peterson and Kevin L. Peterson, both of LaGrange; six great - grandchildren, Ellis and Terri Gates, LaQuada Brewer, Jeanna L. Peterson, Tyeshia C. Peterson, Montoya Young, and Keisha Peterson, all of LaGrange; three great - great - grandchildren, Tidaysha and Tiana Gates, and Kieara Brewer; devoted cousins, Henderson and LaVern Acres; devoted friends, Joe L. Shears, and Mrs. Mattie Easter; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Lewis Paterson, and two daughters, Mattie L. Harris and Arrie L. Peterson.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 9 at the New Mt. Olive Baptist Church, Knotts Road. The Rev. Rufus Smith will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Travis Chaffin Sr.
Travis Chaffin Sr., 77, of Hogansville, died Wednesday at West Georgia Medical Center.
Mr. Chaffin, born April 17, 1925, in Coweta County, was the son of the late Graydon and Claire Braswell Chaffin. He was a Army veteran of World War II, and had lived in Hogansville since 1948 and was a member of Ebenezer Presbyterian Church in Hogansville.
Mr. Chaffin served as president of Carroll County Pulpwood and Timber Company, Inc. from 1968 until the time of his death. He was a member of the Georgia Forestry Association and the American Pulpwood Association.
Survivors include a son and daughter - in - law, Tab and Angela Chaffin of Hogansville; a brother, Braswell Chaffin of Grantville; and two grandchildren, Travis Chaffin III and Tabitha Chaffin, both of Hogansville.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Friday at Ebenezer Presbyterian Church in Hogansville with the Rev. Max McCord officiating. Interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery.
The family will be at the home of Tab and Angela Chaffin, 1270 Mountville - Hogansville Road and will receive friends from 6 to 9 tonight at Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville.
