Billy Ray Casey
Billy Ray Casey, age 56, of Locust Grove, Georgia died September 2, 2006. Mr. Casey was born December 22, 1948 in Ft. Payne, Alabama, the son of Erma Lee Spears Casey and the late J.C. Casey. Mr. Casey was self-employed as a machinist.
He is survived by his wife, Melody Miller Casey of Locust Grove; children, Shuree and Donald Toney, Michael and Stacy Casey, Jason Casey, Cassandra and Scottie McElroy, all of Commerce; grandchildren, Amanda Toney, Casey McElroy, Jake Casey and Reghan McElroy all of Commerce; sister, Bobby Baugh of Valley Head, Alabama; niece and nephew, Jamie and Justin Baugh.
Services were held September 7 at Walkers Chapel Cemetery in Ft. Payne, Alabama, with Rev. Donnie Dover officiating. Haisten Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Charles Richard Stephens
Charles Richard Stephens, age 85, of Stockbridge, Georgia died September 1, 2006. Mr. Stephens was born in Creston, Ohio, the son of Wilbert Augustine and Azalia Louise Strahl Stephens. He served 22 years in the Air Force as a Crew Chief and retired as a Master Sergeant. Following his retirement he worked for Firestone as a Quality Control Inspector. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Stockbridge. He also was a member of American Legion Post # 30, VFW #2785, Air Force Sergeants Association, D.A.V. and National Association of Uniformed Services. He was preceded in death by his wife, Katy Mary Ann Williams; sons, Charles Richard “Ricky” Stephens Jr., Charles Stephens; and a sister Juanita Etter.
He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Nadine Renee (Bobby G.) Morris of Stockbridge, Mary Ann (Kermit Q.) Laney of Evans, Patricia E. Hernal of Boise, Idaho; brother, W. Wayne Stephens of Newport, Ohio; sister, Virginia L. Gault of Belpre, Ohio; eight grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.
Services were held September 5 at Andersonville National Cemetery, with Pastor Steve Murell officiating. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may contribute to Our Lady of Perpetual Help, 760 Pollard Blvd. SW Atlanta, Georgia, 30315 or the American Cancer Society. Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements.

Ralph Emmett Fall
Rev. Ralph Emmett Fall, age 89, of McDonough, Georgia, died September 2, 2006. Rev. Fall was born April 7, 1917 in St. Louis, Missouri, the son of Florence Winifred Roach and Charles Emmett Fall. At age eleven, his maternal Aunt and Uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Gross of Toledo, Ohio became his guardians. He attended school in San Antonio, Texas and Toledo, Ohio and in 1935 graduated from DeVilbiss High School in Toledo. He grew up attending St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Toledo where he was a paid singer in the Boys’ Choir until his voice changed. Four years he lettered in tennis at DeVilbiss High School and was tennis champion in Toledo while attending the University of Toledo, where he obtained his BA degree. After graduation from Bexley Hall Theological School in Gambier, Ohio, Mr. Fall was ordained a Deacon in the Episcopal Church in Gambier, Ohio in June 1941, and was ordained a Priest at Trinity Cathedral, Cleveland, Ohio by bishop Beverly Tucker in December 1941. He was first married to Elizabeth Stambaugh June 30, 1942, who died December 26, 1983. On December 2, 1986, he married Martha Virginia Rodgers. Together they continued their pursuit of genealogy and traveled extensively in the U.S. and Europe. Churches served by Mr. Fall are: Church of Our Savior, Akron, Ohio; Grace Church, St. Paul’s Church, St. Matthew’s Church of Cleveland, Ohio; St. Paul’s Church and St. Timothy’s Church of Richmond, Virginia; Christ Church in Alexandria, Virginia; Pohick Church of Lorton, Virginia; Vauter’s Church of Essex County, Virginia; St. Asaph’s Church and St. Peter’s Church of Caroline County, Virginia. While in Richmond, he served as Dean of the Convocation. After 41 years as an active clergyman, he retired from the Diocese of Virginia, April 1982. In 2000, Caroline County, Virginia Historical Society awarded him the Annual CHS Award for "Researching, Publishing and Preserving the History of Caroline County, Virginia." He researched and wrote five books and published four. History of Bowling Green, Virginia, 1667-1970; Hidden Village of Port Royal, Virginia, 1744-1981; the diary of Robert Rose Who Was The Mid-1700’s Colonial Clergyman of Vauter’s Church, and People And Post Offices And Communities In Caroline County, Virginia 1727-1960. He was a member of Caroline County, Virginia Historical Society; Historic Port Royal, Virginia; and Henry/Clayton Genealogical Society. In Virginia, he was a Smithsonian tour guide. He was preceded in death by his half siblings, Orsen William Fall, Charles Loren Fall, and Ruth Aurelius Fall.
He is survived by his wife; children, Mary Druscilla Rose Fall Boswell of Franklin, New Hampshire, David Price Brady Fall of Richmond, Virginia; son-in-law, Thomas G. Boswell; nephew, Rick Stambaugh; sister-in-law, Myrtle Rodgers Glass; nephew and niece, John and Susie Minter; special cousins: Marshall and Linda Shirley of Palmyra, Michigan; Dr. Kenneth and Barbara Kube of Bad Axe, Michigan; and many other relatives, school and church friends.
Services were held September 4 at St. Joseph’s Episcopal Church, with Rev. John Bancroft, Rev. Bill Herndon and Pastor Dave Riley officiating. Interment Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make donations to Sacred Journey Hospice, 138 Peach Drive, McDonough, Georgia, 30253. Haisten Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Kim Neal
Kim Neal, age 68, of McDonough, Georgia died September 2, 2006. Mrs. Neal was born in Atlanta, the daughter of the late Ellis Elmo and Dorothy Odell Lynch Jones. She attended Community Bible Church in McDonough and was a member of the Red Hat Society. She worked 12 years for Primerica as a customer service agent, and was an administrative assistant for Clayton Dialysis Center. She had many hobbies including reading, antiquing and oil painting. She had a love for the fine arts, theater, poetry and enjoyed visiting historical places. The family remembers Kim feeding the deer in her backyard, bird watching, caring for her flowers and admiring the beauty of the butterflies. She was preceded in death by a brother Charles E. Jones.
She is survived by her son, David C. Neal of Monroe; daughter and son-in-law, Laura K. (James) Morton of McDonough; sisters, Frances J. Lux of Lilburn, Charlene Bearden of McDonough, Trudy McGuire of Locust Grove; grandchildren, Andrew Morton and Lainey Morton; her companion, Tom Logan of Locust Grove; and many nieces and nephews.
Services were held September 6 in the chapel of Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors, with Pastor Brooks Everett officiating. Interment Eastlawn Memorial Gardens. Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements.

Helen M. Bailiff
Helen M. Bailiff, age 82, of Hampton, Georgia died August 27, 2006. Mrs. Bailiff was born January 24, 1924 in Chattanooga, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Archibald Beverly and Esther Woody Smith. She lived in the Orange County, California area for the majority of her life. She relocated to Hampton to be with her family. She was an avid amateur photographer and enjoyed shopping. Most important, she was a strong family woman who loved spending time with her daughter and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack W. Bailiff.
She is survived by her daughter Sheila (Bob) Brown of Hampton; grandsons, Clint (Christina) Brown of Hemet, California, Robby Brown, Nick Brown, and Alex Brown, all of Hampton; granddaughter, Gina (Jace) Pritchard; sister, Frances Boyce of San Diego, California; brother, Richard Smith of Bellingham, Washington ; and several nieces and nephews.
Services were held September 2 at Rose Hills Mortuary in Whittier, California. Interment Rose Hills Memorial Park. Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements.

RueDean B. Mason
RueDean B. Mason, age 73, of Hampton, Georgia died August 28, 2006. Mrs. Mason was born in Newell, Alabama, the daughter of the late Willie Carl and Gladys McKeen Nelson. Her main purpose was teaching people the Word of God. She just made people feel good. She was a woman who was very versatile and loved her flowers and birds. Many people may remember her from the Casual Shop in Forest Park. Most important to her was her love for her family and her Lord. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Narvis C. Butler in 1970.
She is survived by her husband, Herman Edgar Mason, Jr. of Hampton; children, Steven (Susan) Butler of Fayetteville, Joan (Dan) Griffin of Peachtree City, Mike (Debbie) Butler of McDonough, Mark (Susan) Butler of Jonesboro, Herman E. (Sue) Mason, III of McDonough, Brick (Pam)
Mason of Hampton; 21 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; brothers, Mr. and Mrs. Willie Carl Nelson, Jr. and Mr. and Mrs. Billy Floyd Nelson, all of Wedowee, Alabama; sisters, Laverne F. White of Conley, and Sybil Henderson of Woodland, Alabama.
Services were held August 31 at Southside Christian Fellowship, with Rev. Eddie Mason officiating. Interment Harmony Methodist Church Cemetery in Newell, Alabama. Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements.

Floy Burford
Floy Burford, age 75, of McDonough, Georgia died August 29, 2006. Floy was a loving mother, grandmother and friend to all. She retired 13 years ago from J.C. Penny after 22 years of service and was a member of Stockbridge Assembly of God for 61 years. She enjoyed life to the fullest through her faith and family. She was truly one of a kind and will be sorely missed.
She is survived by her sons, Wendell Burford of McDonough, Melvin Burford of Stockbridge; daughters, Becky (Bobby) Bing of McDonough, Sharon Burford of Atlanta; grandchildren, Angie (James) Hall, Brandie (Kevin) Herring, Sharon Bing, Brian Burford; great-grandchildren: Noah, Zack and Gabe Hall and Bailey Grace Herring; sister, Carol Evans of Panama City, Florida.
Services were held September 1 at Horis A. Ward Funeral Home’s Fairview Chapel, with Pastor Jerry Stewart officiating. Interment Fairview Memorial Gardens. Memorial donations may be made to The Love Extended Group at Stockbridge Assembly of God, 3910 North Henry Blvd., Stockbridge, Georgia, 30281. Horis A. Ward Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Troy Eugene Holder
Troy Eugene "Gene" Holder, age 72, of Jonesboro, Georgia died August 29, 2006. Mr. Holder was born September 4, 1933 in Henry County, the son of the late Dewey Lee Holder. He retired after 32 years with the federal government and 7 years as a private contractor; was a member of Jodeco United Methodist Church; the Founder of 3 Generations Band as the steel guitarist; and was inducted into the Atlanta Country Music Hall of Honors in 1997. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Anthony Rogers.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Orion Jenkins Holder of Jonesboro; daughter, Darlene Calhoun of Jackson; mother, Corene Holder of Stockbridge; grandsons, Jason and Jennifer Rogers of Stockbridge, Broddie Calhoun of Jonesboro; great-grandchildren, Alexis Rogers, Joey Stout and Tyler McMichael; sisters, Elise Rape of Locust Grove, Jeanette Driver of Conyers, Hazel Wall of Locust Grove; brother, Jimmy Holder of Opelika, Alabama; numerous nieces and nephews.
Services were held August 31 in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home, with Dr. Brent Ward and Rev. John Elliot officiating. Interment Fairview Memorial Gardens. Haisten Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
