Mrs. Pauline Underwood of 47 Bartley Road died Wednesday at West Georgia Medical Center.
Born in Troup County, Mrs. Underwood was the daughter of the late W.J. and Ada Browning House. She had lived here all her life and was a homemaker. She was a member of Broad Street Church of Christ.
Survivors include her husband, Roland Underwood of LaGrange; two daughters and sons - in - law, Amy and Danny Brooks of LaGrange and Cynthia and Thomas Griffiths, of Memphis, Tenn.;a son and daughter - in - law, Dennis and Valerie Underwood of Ashville, Ala.; 13 grandchildren and their spouses, Jonathan and Beth Brooks, Jody and Caysi Brooks, Philip and Andrea Brooks, Timothy and Tiffany Brooks, Abigail Brooks, Paul and Kristi Underwood, Katrina and Charles Nixon, Emily Underwood, Ben Underwood, Daniel Alexander, Caleb Alexander, Stephen Alexander and David Griffiths; six great - grandchildren, Kyle Nixon, Jon Tyler Brooks, Jacob Brooks, Lane Brooks, Matthew Brooks and Hannah Brooks; two sisters and brothers - in - law, Mary and John Hill of LaGrange and Grace and Art Cleveland of Searcy, Ark.; a brother and sister - in - law, Earl and Virginia House of LaGrange; and many nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be at Broad Street Church of Christ at 11 a.m. Friday with Arvil Weilbaker officiating.
The family will be at the home of her daughter and son - in - law, Amy and Danny Brooks at 223 Pine Haven Drive and will receive friends this evening at Hunter - Allen - Myhand Funeral Home from 7 until 9.

Harvey Phillips Jr., 50, of Jennings Home Apartments in Hogansville died Wednesday at West Georgia Medical Center.
Funeral services will be Monday at 3 p.m. at Springfield Baptist Church in Hogansville with the Rev. Joseph McGuire will officiating. Burial will follow in the Olive Branch cemetery - No. 2 in the St. Marks Community.

Mrs. Alma Ogle
Mrs. Alma Barnes Ogle, 87, of Jefferson, died Friday at Embracing Hospice in Snellville.
Mrs. Ogle, born Oct. 16, 1913, in Henry County, was the daughter of the late David and Mollie Browning Barnes. A former resident of Hogansville, she lived in the Atlanta area for many years and had made Jefferson her home for the past two years. She was the wife of the late Don T. Ogle.
Survivors include one daughter, Joyce Sliz of Jefferson; one son, Harold Ogle of Eatonton; seven grandchildren and four great - grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of the Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville with the Rev. Jeff Knight officiating. Burial will be in the Myrtle Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Iris Lee Harris
Mrs. Iris Lee (Mur) Harris, 73, of 1303 Lindsey St., died Monday at West Georgia Medical Center.
Mrs. Harris, born April 24, 1927, in Meriwether County was the daughter of the late John and Estella Hill. She received most of her education in the Meriwether County and LaGrange City School Systems. She was a homemaker and an active member of Sardis Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Jessie L. Harris; six daughters and two sons - in - law, Freddie Ruth Magby, Irene and Arthur Hubbard, Jessie Mae and Sanford Heard, Jean Harrison, Gail McCord and Laurie Anne Johnson, all of LaGrange; four sons and a daughter - in - law, Alton Eugene Harris, James Edward and Christine Harris, Michael Anthony Harris and Norman Harris, all of LaGrange; two sisters, Louise Hill of LaGrange and Tonia Carter of Manchester; three brothers, Anthony Hill of Manchester and Timothy Hill and Thomas Hill, both of New York; an aunt and her husband, Irene and John Hardnett of Woodland; four sisters - in - law, Carrie Harris, Lula Johnson, Willie Dudley Harris and Willie Mae Harris, all of LaGrange; 22 grandchildren, 21 great - grandchildren; very close friend, Jarvis Copeland; and a number of cousins and other friends including the Sardis Baptist Church Community and the Paramore family of Cairo.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Sardis Baptist Church at 1308 Lindsey St., with the Rev. W.L. Tucker officiating. Burial will be in Southview Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at her home.

Mrs. Lorraine C. Hood
Mrs. Lorraine C. Hood, 79, of Franklin died Monday at Newnan Hospital.
Mrs. Hood, born September 23, 1921, in Uttumwa, Iowa, was the daughter of the late Eli and Cecilia Longpre. She had lived here since the early 1980's and was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Roanoke, Ala.
Survivors include three daughters, Margaret Brewes of Denver, Colo., Elizabeth Ruessman of Sterling Heights, Mich., and Carolyn Hood of LaGrange; four sons, Richard W. Hood III of LaGrange, Robert Hood of Hawthorne, Fla., Edwin Hood of Pine Mountain and B.J. Hood of Franklin; a brother, Gregory Longpre of Benton Harbor, Mich.; 15 grandchildren and 17 great - grandchildren.
A funeral mass will be Saturday at 10 a.m. CST at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church at 1256 Main St., in Roanoke, Ala.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Grotto Fund at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Roanoke, Ala., or to Hospice LaGrange in memory of Mrs. Hood.
The family will receive friends at Long Cane Methodist Church Fellowship Hall this evening from 7 until 9.

Robert Leon Rhodes
Memorial services for Robert Leon Rhodes, 42, of Pittsburgh, Calif., formerly of Hogansville, will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Wadley Chapel United Methodist Church in Corinth with the Rev. D. Newsome officiating.
Mr. Rhodes was the son of the late Chatman and Jennye Bell Rhodes of Hogansville. He was a 1974 graduate of Hogansville High School and retired from the Navy.
Survivors include his wife, Beverly Rhodes; three children, Robert Jr., Rainey and Regina, all of Pittsburgh, Calif; four sisters and two brothers - in - law, Lewis and Jessie Mae Jackson, Helen Terrell and Lillian Cotton, all of Hogansville, and Charles and Jennye Lou Hardaway of Luthersville; a brother, Willie Fred Rhodes of Macon; and a sister - in - law, Velma Rhodes of Hogansville.

Sally L. Caldwell, 57, of 1804 Hamilton Road died January 12 at West Georgia Medical Center.
Mrs. Caldwell was born May 15, 1943, in Meriwether County.
Survivors include her children, Edward Caldwell and Charlotte Caldwell, both of LaGrange, Joseph Caldwell of San Francisco, Calif., and Merrill Caldwell of Pine Mountain Valley; three brothers, Melton Sims and Hugh Sims, both of Primrose, and Johnny Sims of Newton; and three grandchildren.

Thomas W. Cofield
Thomas W. (Tommy) Cofield, 49, of 12 Curran Ave., died this morning at West Georgia Medical Center.
Mr. Cofield, born March 1, 1951, in Randolph County, Ala., was the son of the late Robert C. and Ora V. Beam Cofield. He had lived here all his life and was self - employed in construction. and a member of Oakside Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Bonnie Cofield; two daughters, Mandy Muirhead and Myra Pullen; a grandson, Mitchell Muirhead; a stepson, Michael Garrison; two sisters and brothers - in - law, Diane and Franklin Cotton and Debra and Kimble Carter; four brothers and sisters - in - law, Bobby and Diana Cofield, Randy and Cathy Cofield, Marshall and Cindy Cofield and Chris and Katie Cofield, all of LaGrange; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Striffler - Hamby Mortuary at 1010 Mooty Bridge Road with the Revs. James Moon and Steve Garner officiating. Entombment will be in Shadowlawn Mausoleum.
The family will be at the home of his sister and brother - in - law, Debra and Kimble Carter, at 716 Mountville Hogansville Road and will receive friends this evening from 7 until 9 at the funeral home.

J. D. Russell
John Dewey (J.D.) Russell of 205 Wright St., died Sunday at Hospice LaGrange.
Mr. Russell, a native of Troup County, was the son of the late Ernest and Mattie Hixon Russell. He was a television and radio repairman here for more than 30 years. He was a member and deacon of First Baptist Church on Fannin Street where he was a member of the Senior Choir.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Elmira Bryant Russell of LaGrange; four daughters, Frances Cooper of Cleveland, Ohio, Betty J. Jackson of Stone Mountain and Doris Russell and Judy Russell, both of LaGrange; three sons and daughters - in - law, John D. Jr. and Celicia Russell of Romulus, Mich., Douglas and Dorothy Russell of LaGrange, and Louis and Rocio Russell of Marietta; two brothers, George E. Russell of Texas and Harvey Russell of Las Vegas, Nev.; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Burton and Mrs. Evelyn Hall, both of Atlanta; 27 grandchildren, 31 great - grandchildren, four great - great - grandchildren; and nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by a son, Ernest Clifford Russell.
Funeral services will be Friday at 1 p.m. at the First Baptist church on Fannin Street with Dr. Clarence Sams officiating. Burial will be in Southview Cemetery.
