Miss Marilyn Potts
Miss Marilyn Anne Potts of Bronx, N.Y., formerly of LaGrange, died Thursday at Calvary Hospital in the Bronx.
Miss Potts, born November 7, 1958, in LaGrange, was the daughter of Ruth Potts and the late Ernest Potts. She was a longtime resident of New York.
Survivors in addition to her mother, include two sons, Willie and Decota; a daughter, Ebony; a granddaughter, Sanethia; two brothers, James Davidson and Willie Potts; three sisters, Edna Peters, Ruby Potts and Lera Potts; a close aunt, Fannie Lou Johnson; other aunts, Ardell Winston, Nellie Potts and Eva Mae Potts; uncles, John McCord, John Potts and Jessie Lee Potts; a companion, Ernest Edwards; a number of nieces, nephews, great - nieces and great nephews; and other relatives and friends including best friends, Joanne Copper and Emalie Delatore.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Friendship Baptist Church in Gabbettville with the Rev. Bartholomew Orr officiating. Burial will be in Southview Cemetery.
The family will leave from the home of her aunt and uncle, Fannie Lou and Clifford Johnson, at 661 Shoemaker Road in West Point at 1:15.

Mrs. Frances T. Lewis
Mrs. Frances Thomaston Lewis, 80, of Hogansville died Monday at Newnan Hospital.
Mrs. Lewis, born August 8, 1920, in Heard County, was the daughter of the late Jim and Louellen Williamson Thomaston. She lived in Norfolk, Va., most of her life before returning to Hogansville eight years ago. She was a Baptist.
Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Mary Lee Hammett of Corinth; two brothers, Jack Thomaston of Cicero, Ill., and Willie Earl Thomaston of Franklin; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Claude A. McKibben & Sons Funeral Home with the Rev. Milton Hall officiating. Burial will be in Corinth Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 until 9 this evening.

Mrs. Millie Vaughn
Mrs. Millie Vaughn, 79, formerly of Amberwood Apartments, died Monday at West Georgia Medical Center.
Mrs. Vaughn, born may 8, 1921, in Durham, N.C., was the daughter of the late John and Flonnie Mae Vann House. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include two daughters, Doris Osbahr and Rebecca Vaughn, both of LaGrange; three grandchildren and five great - grandchildren.
Burial will be at a later date in Woodlawn Memorial Park in Durham.
The family will receive friendsfrom 7 until 9 this eveningat the home of her daughter, Doris Osbahr, at 6 South Sanford St.

Harry W. Garner
Harry W. Garner, 96, of 123 West Hillside Drive died Saturday at his home.
Mr. Garner, born January, 28, 1905, in Chattanooga, Tenn., was the son of the late Jessie E. and Nancy McDonough Garner. He had lived here for 30 years and retired from General Electric in Cincinnati, Ohio, He was a member of Syrian Shrine Temple in Cincinnati, a 50 year member of Lookout Valley Lodge #673 in Chattanooga and of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Betty Jean Garner; a son, Sherwood V. Garner Jr., both of LaGrange; six grandchildren; a number of great - grandchildren; three stepdaughters, Martha Prather, Shirley Posey and Marie McCann; two brothers, June Nelson Garner of Valley, Ala., and John T. Garner of Fort Myers, Fla.; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Striffler - Hamby Mortuary at 1010 Mooty Bridge Road with the Rev. Vernon Prather officiating. Burial with Masonic rites will be in Shadowlawn Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 this evening at the funeral home.

John Martin Fulford
John Martin Fulford, 69, of LaGrange died Sunday at West Georgia Medical Center.
Mr. Fulford, born April 4, 1931, in Randolph County, Ga., was the son of the late Martin and Willie Duncan Fulford. He retired from the Kroger Company as a zone manager.
Survivors include his wife, Flodie Fulford of LaGrange; a daughter and son - in - law, Melody and Michael Popkin of Atlanta; a son and daughter in law, John David and Anita Fulford of Conyers; four grandchildren, Kristi Fulford, and John Fulford, of Conyers and Megan Popkin and Ben Popkin of Atlanta; and a brother and sister - in - law, Loy and Ellen Fulford of Hermitage, Tenn.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Striffler - Hamby Mortuary at 4701 Macon Road in Columbus. Burial will be in Parkhill Cemetery.

Mrs. Annie Simmons
Mrs. Annie Elizabeth Simmons, 94, of Albuquerque, N.M., formerly of LaGrange, died Saturday at Montebello on Academy.
Mrs. Simmons, born October 6, 1906, in LaGrange was the daughter of the late John Augustus and Annie Susan Copeland Pike. She had lived here all of her life and was a homemaker. She was a member of First Baptist Church on the Square.
Survivors include a son and daughter - in - law, Eric E. Jr. and Kenley P. Hall of Albuquerque, N.M.; two granddaughters, Alice E. Hall of St. Louis, Mo., and Adah Marie Hall of Albuquerque; a sister, Mrs. Frances Augustus Kersey of Clayton; and a niece and her husband, Suzanne Kersey and Charles L. Todd of Clayton.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Hillview East cemetery with Dr. Paul R. Baxter officiating.
They family will receive friends from 10 until 11 Wednesday morning at Hunter - Allen - Myhand Funeral Home.

Mrs. Annie Inez Mackey, 70, of 1468 Mooty Bridge Road died Saturday at West Georgia Medical Center.
A native of Miller County, Mrs. Mackey was born November 16, 1930, the daughter of the late Cleve and Ilean Haire Spradley. She had lived here since 1986 and was a homemaker and member of Hillcrest Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Arnold R. Mackey of LaGrange; a brother, Marvin Wayne Spradley of Plant, City, Fla.; three sisters - in - law, Mrs. Betty Echols, Mrs. Nell Traylor and Mrs. Juanita Heflin, all of LaGrange; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be Monday at 2 p.m. in Shadowlawn cemetery with the Rev. Kenneth Parker officiating.
