Mrs. Nettie Kinsey
Mrs. Nettie Dorothy Baldwin Dawson - Kinsey, 82, of Sumter, S.C. died Saturday at Toumey Health Care System.
Mrs. Dawson - Kinsey was the daughter of the late Andrew Sr. and Rosa Curtis Baldwin. She was a retired practical nurse and a member of the McCoy Memorial Center in Bishopville, S.C.
Survivors include six children, Willie Mae Williams of LaGrange, Wallace Dawson Jr. of Linden, N.J., Rosa Lee Diggs of Rembert, S.C., Theola Marie Richardson of Nashville, Tenn., and D. August of Dalzell, S.C.; a brother, Roosevelt Baldwin of Sumter, S.C.; four sisters, Emma Baldwin - White and Catherine G. Stephens, both of Charlotte, N.C., Minnie Baldwin - Long of Jacksonville, Fla., and Wilhemina Baldwin - McCallister of Clovis, N. M.; a close sister - in - law, Mary Baldwin of Sumter, S.C.; 25 grandchildren, 39 great - grandchildren and five great - great - grandchildren. She was preceded in death by seven brothers and three sisters.
Funeral services were at 11 this morning at Joshua Baptist Church on Live Oak Road in Dalzell, S.C., with the Rev. Eugene Dennis officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Williams Funeral Home, Inc., at 821 North Main St., in Sumter, S.C. was in charge of arrangements.

Miss Curlan McFarland of 35 Tucker Circle died Monday at West Georgia Medical Center.

Mrs. Shelia Rogers
Mrs. Shelia Rogers, 45, of 55 Patillo Road Apt. 4, died Sunday at her home.
Mrs. Rogers, born July 7, 1955, in Troup County, was the daughter of the late Emmett Earl and Alma Lillian Hester Hall and had lived here all her life. She had been a clerk at Stephens General Merchandise for eight years and attended the Baptist Tabernacle.
Survivors include two daughters, Kelly Matheny and Kristen Matheny; a stepson, Brian Rogers; a stepgranddaughter, Courtney Rogers; three sisters and two brothers - in - law, Pat Magouirk, Jo and Glenn Pless and Lawanna and Monty Storey; two brothers and sisters - in - law, Ronnie and Darlene Hall and Lamar and Phyllis Hall, all of LaGrange; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. Wednesday at the Baptist Tabernacle with the Rev. J.C. McMillian officiating. Burial will be in Meadoway Gardens.
The family will be at the home of Ricky and Angie Matheny at 106 Huntington Drive and will receive friends this evening from 7 until 9 at Hunter - Allen - Myhand Funeral Home

Ralph T. Maxwell
Ralph Thurman Maxwell, 70, of Roopville, formerly of LaGrange, died Monday at Well Star Cobb Hospital in Austell.
Mr. Maxwell, born July 8, 1930, in Carroll County, was the son of the late Sid Malone and Jonnie Pearl Reaves Maxwell. From 1963 to 1980, he was principal of Unity Elementary School in LaGrange. He also retired from the Naval Reserve. He was a member of Caney Head United Methodist Church, the Masonic Blue Lodge of Tyus where he was a Worshipful Master several times, Atlanta Scottish Rite, York Rite, and Shrine organizations. He was active in the Carroll - Heard Retired Teachers and the Troup County Retired Teachers Associations, the Heard County Cattleman's Association, and Troup Travelers and was past president of Heard County Farm Bureau.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia Huckeba Maxwell of Roopville; a daughter, Pamela Traylor of Roopville; two sons, Michael Maxwell of Fayetteville and Mark Maxwell of Roopville; a brother, S.W. Maxwell of Norcross; a sister, Tricia Ann Ward of Bowdon; and four grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Caney Head United Methodist Church with the Revs. Hershal Phillips and Adam Roberts officiating. Burial will be in the Crews Family Cemetery. The body will be at the church a half hour before the service.
The family will receive friends this evening from 6 until 8 at Tom Stutts and Son Funeral Home in Franklin.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Caney Head United Methodist Church in Heard County.

Thomas Earl Walls
Thomas Earl Walls, 65, of Lanett, Ala., died Sunday at West Georgia Medical Center.
Mr. Walls, born June 29, 1935, in Lanett, was a member of Huguley Nazarene and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Maggie Willene Brooks Walls; three sons and two daughters - in - law, Jeff and Angie Walls of West Point, Dennis and Terry Walls of Valley, Ala., and John Walls of Lanett; three daughters and a son - in - law, Earlene and Mike Clayton of Huguley, and Marie Brown and Carol Walls, both of Valley; a brother and sister - in - law, David and Lynda Walls of West Point; 10 grandchildren and two great - grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Deborah Cooks.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Resthaven Funeral Home with the Revs. Lamar Womack and Gerald Sykes officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends this evening from 7 until at the funeral home.

Virginia Allen
Virginia Whitaker Allen of 405 Butler St., died Sunday at West Georgia Medical Center
Mrs. Allen, a native of LaGrange, was the daughter of Mrs. Roberta Whitaker and the late Wallace Whitaker. She was employed for a long time at G. Mansour's and Mansour's Department Store. She was a member of the Rosebud Club and Leete Hill United Methodist Church.
Survivors, in addition to her mother, include her husband, Bennie Rufus Allen of LaGrange; a daughter, Wanda R. Whitaker of Marietta; a sister, Juanita Ferrell of Kansas City, Mo.; a sister - in - law, Martha and Leroy Dowell; and nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 3 p.m. at Leete Hill United Methodist Church with the Rev. John Tompkins officiating. Burial will be in Southview Cemetery.
The family will be at her home.
A service by Mackey - Wilson - Jennings Funeral Home.

Amos Harris
Amos Harris, 87, of 922 Motley St., died Wednesday at West Georgia Medical Center.
Mr. Harris, born March 18, 1914, in Troup County, was the son of the late Will and Jennie Bell Graham Harris. He was a retired dairy farmer and was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Corine Harris of LaGrange; six children, Minnie Harris of Concord, Fred Harris and Jasper and Elaine Harris, all of LaGrange, Ethel Dendy and Estella Jackson, both of Atlanta and Mary and Larry Billinger of Stone Mountain; 11 grandchildren; 8 great - grandchildren; a sister, Elise Dixon of Atlanta; a sister - in - law, Charlie Alice and Oscar Brooks of LaGrange; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Ebenezer Baptist Church on Highway 27 in Pine Mountain with the Rev. W.L. Tucker officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The family will be at his home.

Mrs. Alice O. Fann
Mrs. Alice O. Fann of 103 Dixie St., formerly of Deland, Fla., died Sunday at Hospice LaGrange.
Mrs. Fann, born February 11, 1936, in Pierson, Fla., was the daughter of the late Reynolds Nona and Rowena Hobbs Orton. She had lived here for a number of years and was employed by the Rinnai Corporation.
Survivors include her husband, James Fann of LaGrange; two daughters, Gwen Angle of Marietta, and Sharon Harper of LaGrange; two sons, Tim Fann and Patrick Fann, both off LaGrange; eight grandchildren and a great - grandchild.
Memorial services will be this afternoon at 4 at Striffler - Hamby Mortuary at 1010 Mooty Bridge Road, with the Rev. Max McCord officiating. Graveside services will be at a later date in Deland, Fla.
The family will be at her home.

Mrs. Anna M. Shibley
Mrs. Anna M. Shibley, 83, of Vernon Road died Sunday at her home.
Mrs. Shibley, born November 23, 1917, in Douglasville, was the daughter of the late Samuel Wiley and Fanny Chapman Mozley. She was a graduate of Young Harris College and Emory University and a member of the Young Harris College Alumna Association. She was a former school teacher in the Atlanta area and an assistant manager at the LaGrange College Bookstore. She had lived here since 1950 and was a member of First United Methodist Church where she was in United Methodist Women, was a member and pianist of the Moorhead Friendship Sunday School Class for almost 50 years and a member of the Altar Guild where she was a needlepoint craftsman.
Survivors include her husband, Dr. John L. Shibley of LaGrange; three daughters and sons - in - law, Marianna and Randy Drinkard of Marietta, Rebecca and Ricci Turpin of Monroe and Susan Shibley - Letteer and Donald Letteer of Norcross; a son and daughter - in - law, Joe and Debbie Shibley of Mt. Juliet, Tenn.; a sister, Fannie Wise of Saint Augustine, Fla., a brother, Sam Mozley of Jonesboro; and seven grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at First United Methodist Church of LaGrange with the Revs. Greg Porterfield and Helen Henry officiating. Burial will be in Shadowlawn Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 until 8 at Hunter - Allen - Myhand Funeral Home.
Flowers will be accepted or those so desiring may contribute to the First United Methodist Church Altar Guild or to the American Cancer Society in memory of Mrs. Shibley.

Mrs. Georgia Hendricks
Mrs. Georgia Clark Hendricks, 79, of 404 College Ave., died Saturday at Poplar Creek Assisted Living.
Mrs. Hendricks, born September 29, 1921, in Troup County, was the daughter of the late Dr. Wallace Henderson and Sue Brown Vaughan Clark. She had lived here all her life and was a retired school teacher in Troup County. She was a former volunteer at West Georgia Medical Center and former agent with Community Greeting Service. She was a member of Loyd Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Sue Brown Hendricks of Avondale Estates, a son, Aplin Hill Hendricks III of Augusta; a brother and sister - in - law, Dr. John and Cindy Clark of Kennesaw; a sister in - law, Patricia Clark of Kennebunkport, Maine; several nieces and nephews; and close friends, Charlotte, Steve, Leah and Thomas Goodnoe of Pine Mountain Valley. She was preceded in death by her brother, Dr. Wallace Clark Jr.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Loyd Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Garrett Arnold - Hoffmann and James M. Clark officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends this evening from 6 until 8 at Hunter - Allen - Myhand Funeral Home.
Flowers will be accepted or those desiring may contribute to Christian City Children's Division at 7345 Red Oak Road, Union City, Ga. 30291, in memory of Mrs. Hendricks.
