Amanda Renee Alexander Roberts
Amanda (Mandy) Renee Alexander Roberts, age 27, of Locust Grove, Georgia died October 13, 2006. Mrs. Roberts was born
May 30, 1979 in Fulton County, the daughter of Julie Smith Alexander and Kenneth Wayne Alexander, Sr. of Forest Park. She was a member of Heritage Baptist Church and had been employed with Future Pest Control. She was a devoted wife and mother who enjoyed flowers, collecting Precious Moments, scrapbooking and cross stitching.
She is survived by her loving husband, John Roberts; and children, Autumn and Alex Roberts, all of Locust Grove; brothers, Kenny Alexander Jr. and Jamey Alexander, both of Forest Park; grandmother, Mozelle Smith of Forest Park; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Services were held October 16 at Heritage Baptist Church in Locust Grove, with Rev. Terrell Hopkins officiating. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make donations to the family for a trust fund for the children. Haisten Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
David NelsonAndrews
David NelsonAndrews, age 53, of Stockbridge, Georgia died October 13, 2006. Mr.Andrews was preceded in death by his mother, Martha Ruth AustinAndrews.
He is survived by his father, John and wife LynetteAndrews of Stockbridge; sister and her husband, CharlotteAndrews and Ron Herring of Lilburn; three nephews; two nieces; two great-nieces; one great-nephew and several aunts and uncles.
Services were held October 16 at Horis A. Ward Fairview Chapel, with Mr. Harold Savage officiating. Interment Resthaven Garden of Memory in Decatur. Horis A. Ward Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Deborah Lyon Clark
Deborah Lyon Clark, age 58, of McDonough, Georgia died October 15, 2006. Ms. Clark was a member of Honey Creek Baptist Church, and was employed with Southern Snacks Inc. of Lawrenceville for 17 years.
She is survived by her son and his wife, Chad and Elizabeth Clark of Covington; granddaughter, Taylor Morgan; brother, Maynard Lyon of Palmetto; and niece, Heather Lyon of Palmetto.
Services were held October 18 at Horis A. Ward Fairview Chapel, with Pastor Allen Burns officiating. Interment Westview Cemetery. Horis A Ward Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
David Lee Thornton
David (Dave) Lee Thornton, age 51, of McDonough, Georgia died October 16, 2006. Mr. Thornton was born
November 30, 1954 in Portsmith, Virginia. He enjoyed computers, music and traveling. He was preceded in death by his father, Gordon Arthur Thornton.
He is survived by his loving mother, Joyce Reynolds of McDonough; brother, Michael Gordon Thornton of California; aunts, Linda H. Tarpley of McDonough, Grace V. Williams of Mableton; cousins and special friends.
Services were held October 18 at Haisten Funeral Home, with Mike Register officiating. Haisten Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Dorothy Sue Barnes Rutledge
Dorothy Sue Barnes Rutledge, age 58, of Locust Grove, Georgia passed away October 4, 2006. Mrs. Rutledge was born
July 28, 1948 in Fulton County, the daughter of the late Mittie Jane Hall and Richard Truman Barnes. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Theresa Ann Sprayberry; and a brother, William David Barnes.
She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Danny Lee Rutledge of Locust Grove; children, Rev. James and Sylvia Swanger of Stockbridge, Mr. and Mrs. Danny Brown of Stockbridge, Debbie Rikard of Dublin, Sandra Drummond and Jeff Lawson of Locust Grove, Raymond and Marie Alexander of Griffin, Stacey Miller and Daniel Bass, Jr. of The Rock, Amanda and James Raney III of Nashville, Tennessee; 22 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren; siblings, Tommy and Kathy Barnes of McDonough, Randy and Sharon Barnes of Hampton, Richard and Connie Barnes of Fayetteville, Patsy and Gary Rapes of Griffin, Michael and Teresa Barnes of Griffin, Ronnie and Susan Barnes of Jonesboro; nieces and nephews.
Services were held October 7 in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home. Haisten Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Holly Gronau
Holly Gronau, age 36, of Hampton, Georgia died October 6, 2006. She was born
in Winchester, Massachusetts. Mrs. Gronau was baptized in the Catholic Church. She was an avid movie-goer, especially Disney films, and collected beanie bears. Known to be very headstrong, she was a loving mother and great with children. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, William W. Rogers; paternal grandfather, Albert Prokopovitch; and grandparents, Phillip and Betty Weimer; paternal aunts, Candace Linardy, Phillis Linardy; paternal uncles, John Prokopovitch and Allan Prokopovitch.
She is survived by her husband, Larry Gronau; daughter, Melissa Gronau; and sons, Sidney Gronau and Brett Gronau, all of Hampton; mother and stepfather, Billie Jo (Timothy) Cutshall of Saltillo, Pennsylvania ; father and stepmother, Richard Allan (Susan) Weimer of California; stepfather, Raymond P. Prokopovitch of Saltillo, Pennsylvania ; sisters, Christine Weyant and Beth Marie Norlasco, both of Pennsylvania ; brother, Jerome Van Wert of Valdosta; maternal grandmother, Stella Rogers of New Mexico; paternal grandmother, Anna Prokopovitch of Pennsylvania ; maternal aunts, Nancy A. Cadwalder of Pennsylvania , Mary E. Oliver of Tennessee; maternal uncle, Fredrick L. Rogers of New Mexico; paternal aunts, Betsy Linardy of California, Ann Marie Otto of Pennsylvania ; paternal uncles, Bobby Weimer of California, Mark Prokopovitch of Pennsylvania ; and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and loving pets.

Jimmy Weathers
Jimmy Weathers, age 41, of Ellenwood, Georgia died October 7, 2006. Mr. Weathers was born
in Savannah, the son of the late Charles G. Weathers. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Atlanta. He enjoyed fishing, golf and movies.
He is survived by his mother, Nancy Jane Russell of Ellenwood; sister, Gail Franks of Stockbridge; brothers and sister-in-law, John W. (Connie) Smith of Rex, Brian E. Smith and Charles Gregory Weathers, both of Ellenwood; several nieces and nephews.
Services were held October 9 in the chapel of Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors, with Mike Franks officiating. Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements.
John Paul Couey, Sr.
John Paul Couey, Sr., age 82, of Stockbridge, Georgia died October 8, 2006. Mr. Couey was born
April 22, 1924 in Wheeler County, the son of the late Irene Hartley and Joseph Couey. He served his country in the U.S. Army in WWII, attended Roswell Street Baptist Church, and was a retired car dealer. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rosalind Seabolt Couey; siblings, Harland Couey, Ruby White, Nellie McAlum, Guy Couey, Hazel Couey and J.T. Couey.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, John and Lisa Couey of Stockbridge; granddaughters, Ashley Rae Couey and Jamie Leigh Couey; sisters and brothers-in-law, Jeanette and Bill Shepherd of Savannah, Frances and Ken Mitchell of Lawrenceville.

Chava Castillo Amezcua, age 40, of Hampton, Georgia died October 8, 2006. Mr. Amezcua was born
in Mexico.
He is survived by his wife, Veronica Castillo of Mexico; parents, Antonio Castillo and Martha Castillo Amezcua Covarrubias of Mexico; brothers, Alfredo Castillo, Luis Castillo, Martin Castillo, and Jose Castillo, all of Hampton.
Services will be held in Zactepec, Mexico. Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements.
Christine Marlin Chamlee
Christine Marlin Chamlee, age 83, of Ellenwood, Georgia died October 9, 2006. Mrs. Chamlee was a longtime member of Anvil Block United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Chamlee; and grandson Brian Chamlee.
She is survived by her daughters, Darlene Moseley (Ralph), Brenda Chamlee, and Pamela Reese all of Ellenwood; sons, William "Bill" Chamlee, Jr. of Stockbridge, Hoyt Chamlee (Cheryl) and Travis Chamlee, both of Ellenwood; 12 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Services were held October 12 at Anvil Block United Methodist Church. Interment Fairview Memorial Gardens. Memorial donations may be made to Henry County Special Olympics or the Henry County Cancer Society. Horis A. Ward Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
