Mrs. Cynthia E. Relander, 61, of Keysville died Monday, Feb. 20, 2006.
Mrs. Relander was a homemaker.
A private memorial service will be held later.
Survivors include her husband, Paul Relander; two daughters, Bobbie Powell, Wadley, and Carey Gore, Keysville; a sister, Diane Allen, Lakeland, Fla.; a brother, Dean Morrissey, Keysville; two grandsons and a great-granddaughter.

John Richard Bradburn
Mr. John Richard Bradburn, 83, of Union, S.C., died Saturday, Feb. 4, 2006 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Bradburn, a native of Union, was the son of the late Richard Joseph Bradburn and Sadie Maude Rippey Bradburn. He was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church where he served as a Sunday School teacher, a former deacon, a head usher and greeter for many years. He retired from Cone Mills and was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force having served in World War II. He is preceded in death by a sister, Ada Belle Huntley, and two brothers, Harold Bradburn and Ray Bradburn.
The funeral was Feb. 7 at 11 a.m. at Tabernacle Baptist Church with the Revs. Roger Plemmons, George Turbeville and Brad Goodale officiating. Burial was in Union Memorial Gardens.
Survivors include two daughters, Jerry and Larry O'Shields, Union, and Sue B. and Ott Stephens, Louisville; a sister, Barbara Everingham, Hendersonville, N.C.; two brothers, Joe Bradburn, Union, and Sam Bradburn, Hendersonville; four grandchildren, Rev. Brad Goodale and Allison Waters, Union, and Angela Hullender and Mark Stephens, Ringgold.

Lewis Turner Farmer Jr.
Mr. Lewis Turner Farmer Jr., 83, of Atlanta died Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2006.
Mr. Farmer, a native of Augusta, was raised in Louisville. He graduated from Louisville Academy and attended Middle Georgia College and Georgia Institute of Technology before enlisting in the United States Navy in 1942. He served his country for 21 years during World War II and the Korean War as a Naval Aviator achieving the rank of Lieutenant Commander. Following his military career, he received a master's degree in mathematics education from Duke University. He began his teaching career as a math professor at Georgia College in 1964 and retired in 1984. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Milledgeville where he served the church in many capacities, including leading an adult Sunday School class for 25 years.
The funeral was Jan. 19 at 11 a.m. at the chapel of Moores Funeral Home. Burial was in the Louisville City Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Higgs Farmer; two sons, Lewis and Carol Farmer, Colorado Springs, Co., and Richard and Sharon Farmer, Nashville, Tenn.; a daughter, Barbara and Ronnie Scott, Atlanta; and nine grandchildren.

Mr. David Jordan Sr., 63, of Wrens died Friday, Jan. 13, 2006.
The funeral was held on Saturday, Jan. 21 at 2 p.m. at Wrens Chapel AME Church in Wrens, with Rev. Roy Mathis presiding and Rev. Ray Brawner, eulogist. Burial followed in the Sugar Hill cemetery in Wrens.
Joseph M. Still Jr. M.D.
Joseph M. Still Jr. M.D., of Augusta died Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2006 at Doctors Hospital.
Mr. Still was a medical pioneer and founder of the Joseph M. Still Burn Center at Doctors Hospital.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 6, at First Baptist Church of Augusta with the Rev. Charles Broome officiating. Burial followed in Westover Memorial Park.
Survivors include his wife Susan H. Still of Augusta; five sons, Edward R. Still and wife, Mary Lou, of Stone Mountain, Jesse M. Still and wife, Jill, of Stone Mountain, Ronald A. Breazeale and wife, Becky, of Evans, Kenneth B. Still and wife, Paige, of Moultrie, and Trey Nevils and wife, Julie, of Wrens; five daughters, Susan Still Kilrain and husband, Colin, of Virginia Beach, VA, Gabrielle "Gale" Still-Steves and husband, Scott, of Augusta, Ronda Still and husband, Steve Bracci, of Evans, Gena McNair and husband, Jeff, of Appling and Donna Simon Carter and husband, Jimmy, of Augusta; an aunt, Frances Clark, of Columbus; and 26 grandchildren.
Dr. Still was preceded in death by his father, Joseph M. Still, Sr., and mother, Bonner Richardson Still, and a son, Steven Wade Breazeale.

Mr. James Reese Stone of Wadley died Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2006.
The funeral was Feb. 8 at 3:30 p.m. at St. Mark AME Church with Elder Ronnie Harden and the Rev. John Rolle officiating. Burial was in the Live Oak cemetery in Wadley.
Survivors include seven sisters, Frances S. (Bobby) Jones and Juanita S. (Freddie) Tarver, Wadley, Myra Stone, Debra Stone, Alzater Stone and Annie Lee Stone, Augusta, and Clyde Simpkins, Swainsboro; two brothers, Alton (Elaine) Lattimore, Ashbury Park, NJ, and Allen Stone, Augusta; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and other relatives.

Nita Watkins
Mrs. Nita Watkins, 84, of Wrens died Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2005.
Mrs. Watkins was a life-long resident of Jefferson County. She was a member of Wrens Baptist Church, the Keenagers, the Agnes Martin Sunday School Class and retired from Thermo King with 27 years of service. She was the wife of the late Mr. Robert Lewis Watkins and the mother of the late James H. Watkins, Linda Denise Dumas, Alberta Louise Watkins and Marshall Waldo Watkins.
The funeral will be Feb. 10 at 3:30 p.m. at Wrens Baptist Church with the Rev. Horace Lariscy officiating. Burial will be in Parkers Cemetery.
Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Thomas and Elaine Watkins Sr., Wrens, Robert "Bob" Watkins, Harlem, and the Rev. Kenneth M. and Jackie Watkins, Wadley; a daughter and son-in-law, Rosa Lou and Merlin DeBaere, Wrens; a brother, Burt Williams, Stapleton; two sisters, Derryl W. Cochran, Avera, and Susan Gibson, Aiken; 12 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

Dorothy Neal Whitaker
Mrs. Dorothy Neal Whitaker of Augusta died Monday, Jan. 30, 2006, at the Medical College of Georgia.
Mrs. Whitaker, known to all who loved her as Aunt Dorothy, was a native of Wrens but had lived in Augusta for many years. She was a retail clerk by profession. She was preceded in death by Harvey Whitaker and a daughter, Linda Sue Mills.
Graveside services were held at Feb. 2 at 2 p.m. in Westover Memorial Park.
Survivors include four grandchildren in Arizona and by her extended family; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Mattie Lue Matthews of Augusta; a nephew, Albert Pearson and wife, Kathy, of Augusta; a niece, Pamela Pearson of Augusta. She is also survived by her great-nephews, Carson Coghlan and Blake Harris.

Mrs. Merle Cooke Burrell, 93, of Milledgeville died Saturday, Jan. 14, 2006.
Mrs. Burrell, a native of Clinton, N.C., had made her home in Augusta before moving to Milledgeville 27 years ago.

Jaci Madison Cooper of Mitchell died Sunday, Jan. 15, 2006, at McDuffie Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Nancy Pinkston Gibbons died Thursday, Jan. 5, 2006, at an Atlanta hospital.
Mrs. Gibbons was a native of Jefferson County

Jamie Hawkins Sr.
Rev. Jamie Hawkins Sr., 73, of Gibson died Saturday, Dec. 31, 2005, at University Hospital in Augusta.
Rev. Hawkins, a native of Glascock County, was the son of the late Oliver and Zeddie Hawkins. He was pastor of Griffin Chapel Baptist Church for 26 years and was a member of Euphrates Baptist Church. He was also a farmer and was retired from Thermo King Corporation after 24 years of service. He is preceded in death by three brothers, O.C. Hawkins, Sharkie Hawkins and Harold Hawkins and one sister, Carolyn H. Morgan.
The funeral was Jan. 3 at 3 p.m. at Griffin Chapel Baptist Church with the Rev. Thurman Walden and Herman Walden officiating. Burial was in the Gibson City Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Gloria W. Hawkins; one son, Jamie and Kathy Hawkins Jr., Edgehill; one daughter, Kathy H. and Mike Lyons, Gibson; one brother, Ronnie Hawkins, St. Louis; one sister, Jessie Sammons, Gibson; two grandsons and two great-grandchildren.
