Wanda Ladawn Darisaw
Miss Wanda Ladawn Darisaw of Louisville died Sunday, Nov. 5, 2006, at Medical College of Georgia Hospital in Augusta.
Miss Darisaw, a native of Jefferson County, was a member of Pine Hill Baptist Church where she was a member of the choir and advisor of the Pine Hill Youth Ministry. She was a 1991 graduate of Louisville High School. She also attended Sandersville Technical Institute and received her CNA certificate.
The funeral was Nov. 8 at 2 p.m. at Pine Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. Peter Sparks officiating and the Rev. Terry Jones officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Survivors include her daughter, Jamie Darisaw, Louisville; parents, Carlos and Helen Darisaw, Louisville; birth mother, Verline Reed, Ft. Valley; sister, Diane Hall, Wadley; brothers, Carlos Darisaw Jr., Kenneth Darisaw Sr., Bobby Darisaw Sr. and Wayne Darisaw, all of Louisville; godson, Jamie Davis, Waynesboro; godmother, Minnie L. Darisaw, Louisville; and several other relatives.
Pallbearers were the Louisville High Class of 1991.
Honorary pallbearers were deacons and trustees of Pine Hill Baptist Church.

Hugh Pollette
Mr. Hugh Pollette, 86, of Swainsboro died Monday, Oct. 30, 2006, at Emanuel Medical Center.
Mr. Pollette, a native of Johnson County, had lived in Jefferson County before moving to Swainsboro in 1979.
He had retired with the rank of Master Sergeant from the United States Marine Corps.
He served his country in WWII, Korea and Vietnam. He was a member of Dellwood Baptist Church.
He is preceded in death by his son Paul Pollette and stepdaughter, Sylvia Braswell.
The funeral was Nov. 1 at 3 p.m. from the chapel of Tomlinson Funeral Home with the Rev. William H. Thompson officiating.
Burial with full military honors will be at Poplar Springs United Methodist Church cemetery near Adrian.
Survivors include his wife, Nell W. Braswell Pollette; one daughter, Amber Pollette, Swainsboro; a stepson, Allen Braswell, Swainsboro; a grandson, Teddy Braswell, Swainsboro; sister-in-law, Sara Bedgood; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Russell Collins, Bobby Faircloth, Billy Purvis, Jimmy Hiers, Matt Lane and Stan Powell.

Ms. Elizabeth Thomas of Wadley died Monday, Oct. 30, 2006.

James Henry “Chick” Radcliffe Sr.
Mr. James Henry “Chick” Radcliffe Sr., 70, of Statesboro died Wednesday, Oct. 25, 2006, at the Ogeechee Area Hospice Inpatient Facility.
Mr. Radcliffe, a native of Burke County, was a 1954 graduate of Waynesboro High School. He served as a civilian technician for 36 years with the GaARNG before ending his military career as property book officer overseeing all property and inventory of the National Guard Training Center at Ft. Stewart. He retired with 42 years of service to the GaARNG. He served as president of the Statesboro Jaycees as well as Region 10 president of Jaycees. He was a founding member and past president of Minutmen Investors. He was a member of Ways Baptist Church. He was a founding member and former president of the Clarence Brack “Top Five” Club, a National Guard NCO organization.
A second funeral was held at Ways Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery.
The funeral was Oct. 28 at 11 a.m. at Statesboro First Baptist Church with Elder Randy Waters, CW4 (Ret.) Billy F. Stewart and BG (Ret.) Fred Shaver officiating.
Survivors include his wife, Joanne Swan Radcliffe; two sons, James Henry Radcliffe Jr., Hiram, and Woodrow Swan Radcliffe, Carlisle, Penn.; one daughter, Sara Joanne Radcliffe Cook, Atlanta; his sister, Kathryn Radcliffe Hamilton, Martinez; four grandchildren; and several other relatives.

Mrs. Daisy Ruth Andrews of Hephzibah died Saturday, Feb. 25, 2006.
Mrs. Andrews was a homemaker and a Baptist.
The funeral was Feb. 27 at Poteet Funeral Home, South Chapel at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Albert "Bucky" Halford officiating. Burial was in Mt. Moriah Cemetery.
Survivors include a son, Michael Parker, Hephzibah; five daughters, Marie Bates, Hephzibah, Patricia Bryant, Portal, Jane Ward, Janel Ruth O'Dell and JoLee Andrews; a step-daughter, Betty Rainwater, all of Augusta; three brothers, Alton Stewart, Hephzibah, Grady Stewart, Blythe, and James Stewart, Augusta; three sisters, Liza Mae Prickett, Matthews, Elizabeth Huff, Stapleton, and Lois Howland, Augusta; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Uvernee Brooks Hadden
Mrs. Uvernee Brooks Hadden, 76, of North Augusta, S.C., died Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2006, at University Hospital in Augusta.
Mrs. Hadden, a native of Jefferson County, had lived in North Augusta for the past 50 years. She was a Baptist and a member of the Sheffield Club. She was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband Byron W. Hadden and a son, Brad Hadden.
The funeral was Feb. 23 at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Rowland Funeral Home with the Rev. Gary Hadden officiating. Burial was at Pineview Memorial Park.
Survivors include a son, Mark Hadden, Lincolnton; a daughter, Sandra Hadden Long, North Augusta; a sister, Delores Wilkinson, Thomson; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Mrs. Middlebrook, a native of Glascock County, was a member of Piney Grove Baptist Church in Gibson.

Margaret Smith Miller
Mrs. Margaret Smith Miller, 69, of Stapleton died Friday, Feb. 21, 2006, at University Hospital in Augusta.
Mrs. Miller was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. She was employed by Jefferson Energy Cooperative since 1981 and was semi-retired since 1999. She was a former owner of Big M Flower Hut in Bartow. She is preceded in death by her husband James Miller, and a brother, Jimmy Smith.
The funeral was Feb. 23 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Donald Lumpkin officiating. Burial was in Parkers United Methodist Church cemetery in Bartow.
Survivors include two daughters, Peggy M. (Steve) Jardon, Louisville, and Lynn M. (Bill) Williams, Stapleton; two sons, Greg (Susie) Miller, Wrens, and Ricky (Pam) Miller, Warrenton; two sister, Annette S. Livingston, Louisville, Betty S. Mrs. Frieda Leonard Pierson, 86, of Davisboro died Friday, Feb. 24, 2006, at Heritage Inn Nursing Home.
Mrs. Pierson was born in Broome County, New York. She was the daughter of the late Archie Wilson Leonard and the late Anna Arnold Leonard. She was a homemaker and a faithful member of the United Faith Ministries. Mrs. Pierson was also an active member of the Gideon's Auxiliary. She is predeceased by her husband LeRoy Lindsey Pierson.
The funeral was Feb. 26 at 3 p.m. at the United Faith Ministries in Davisboro with the Rev. Matthew Pierson officiating. Burial was in Davisboro Cemetery.
Survivors include her children, Sylvia P (Larry) Cobb, Louisville, Cynthia P.
