Darrell Branan
Darrell Branan, age 53, of McDonough, Georgia died December 13, 2006. Mr. Branan was born in Griffin, the son of the late Daniel Greer and Martha Elizabeth Moss Branan. Most important in his life was his family. He also loved riding horses, hunting and his bird dogs.
He is survived by his brothers, Edward D. Branan of McDonough, Larry G. Branan of Orlando, Florida; sisters, Kay Niblett and Diane Branan, both of McDonough; and several nieces and nephews.
Services were held December 16 in the chapel of Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors, with Rev. Dan McKay officiating. Interment Eastlawn Memorial Gardens. Those who wish may sign the guest registry at www.cannon-cleveland.com. Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements.

Mary Pauls
Mary Pauls, age 67, of McDonough, Georgia died December 13, 2006.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Lee Pauls; daughter, Robin Baker and husband David of Greenwood, Indiana; sons, Thomas Pauls and wife Marie of Jackson, Bobby Pauls and wife Michelle of McDonough; sisters, Ruth Anderson of Rochester, Minnesota; Doris Allen of St. Cloud, Minnesota, Vickie Mealy of Cokato, Minnesota; brothers, Darold Christensen of Eden Prairie, Minnesota, Viggo Christensen and Thomas Christensen, both of Litchfield, Minnesota; seven grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
Services were held December 16 in the Fairview chapel of Horis A Ward Funeral Home. Interment Forest Hills Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Luke’s Lutheran Church Building Fund, 1125 McDonough Place, McDonough, Georgia, 30253. Horis A. Ward Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Joseph John Stefaniak
Joseph John Stefaniak, age 90, of Stockbridge, Georgia died December 13, 2006. Mr. Stefaniak was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania , the son of the late Joseph and Margaret Bies Stefaniak. He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Swissvale. He served our country in the U.S. Marines for 3 years and was a member of American Legion Post #0945. He was an avid sports fan for the Pittsburgh Pirates and the Steelers, but most important to him was his family.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Dorothy Pearl Voeltzel Stefaniak; daughters, Dottie Maruca of Stockbridge, JoAnn Viti of Jacksonville, Florida; adopted son, Steven Verba of California; grandchildren, Brad and Niki Maruca, Deanna Maruca, Ryan and Julia Viti; great-granddaughters, Raley, Adelyn, Nina, Karli, Nadia; sisters, Emma Pjewac of Port Richie, Florida and Betty (Carl) Klein-smith of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania .

Gregory Benard Henderson
Gregory Benard "Booney" Henderson, age 29, of McDonough, Georgia died December 16, 2006. Mr. Henderson was born August 24, 1977 in Clayton County, the son of Barbara Ann Hann and Grady Henderson. He was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church in Atlanta where he served as president of the Usher Board. He enjoyed coaching children in sports, and working as a substitute teacher for artistic children.
He is survived by his mother, Barbara M. Hann of McDonough; father, Grady Henderson of McDonough; sisters, Barbara and John Jackson of Jonesboro, Melissa Hann and Annie and Jerry Scott, all of McDonough, Denise Henderson of Atlanta, Ieshia Carter and Dramond Carter, both of Griffin, Lisa Amis of Stock-bridge; brothers, Ray Haynes, Stanley and Angie Haynes of McDonough, Anthony Hann of Morrow, Allen Henderson, Robert Henderson, Kelvin Henderson, Walter Henderson and Ernest Henderson all of Atlanta, Grady Carter and Mario Henderson, both of McDonough; God parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Brownlee, Jr.; devoted cousin, Dion Miller of McDonough.
Services will be held December 21 at Farguson Chapel Baptist Church, with Rev. Dennis A. Meredith officiating. Interment Rose Garden Cemetery. Haisten Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Milton Arbyto McLendon
Milton Arbyto McLendon, age 80, of Locust Grove, Georgia died December 16, 2006. Mr. McLendon was born July 15, 1925 in Fulton County, the son of the late Alice Mae Kelly and Arbyto McLendon. He was a member of McDonough Church of Christ, a past member of the Tara Shrine Club, and served his country in the U.S. Army from 1949 to 1953. He enjoyed his family and traveling. He was preceded in death by his sister, Lora Frances Carter.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce Little McLendon of Locust Grove; children, Ronnie and Brenda McLendon of Dallas, Jeff and Donna McLendon of Woodstock, Cynthia Fitzpatrick of Ocala, Florida, Donna McLendon of Covington, Brian and Michelle Little of McDonough; grandchildren, Teresa and Jim Popp, Nicholas, Meagan and Paige Fitzpatrick, Drew, Evan and Blake Little; several great-grandchildren; brothers, Hoyt and Edie McLendon, Gene and Dorothy McLendon, Howard and Frances McLendon; several nieces and nephews.
Services were held December 18 in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home, with Rev. J.J. Turner officiating. Interment Sherwood Memorial Park. Haisten Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Sarah Ella Dixon Vinup
Sarah Ella Dixon Vinup, age 74, of McDonough, Georgia died December 4, 2006. Mrs. Vinup was born in Sparta, the daughter of the late Harvey and Susie Batchelor Brooks.
She is survived by her loving husband of 30 years, Julius Vinup of McDonough; her wonderful children, Wanda Gail Dixon and Edward Lewis Dixon, both of Milledgeville, Brenda Dixon Savage of Jackson, Johnny Dixon and Melanie Dixon, both of Macon; caring step-children, James Vinup of Covington, Frederick Vinup of Warner Robins, Terrance Vinup of Melbourne, Florida, Freda Vinup of California, Joyce Hardy and Jimmy Massey, both of Milledgeville; 14 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Jane E. Ferraro
Jane E. Ferraro, age 83, of Forest Park, Georgia died December 4, 2006. Mrs. Ferraro was born in Thomaston, the daughter of the late Willie Richard and Katie Beatrice Callahan Smith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Ferraro; 3 brothers; and 2 sisters.
She is survived by her children, James R. Henderson of Stockbridge, June E. Hollis of McDonough, Charles S. Henderson and Sammy S. Ferraro, both of Forest Park; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Betty Blaydes
Betty Blaydes, age 65, of Jonesboro, Georgia went to be with her Lord and Savior on December 10, 2006. She was born October 22, 1941 in Clay County, Alabama, the daughter of the late Joel and Rosetta New Roland. She was a cherished wife, mother, nana, sister, aunt and friend to all that knew her. She was a member of Fairview Baptist Church in Jonesboro and was employed by Clayton County Board of Education Food Services for 23 years. She was preceded in death by a sister, Lou Mae Adams; and a brother, Willie Joe Roland.
She is survived by her husband of over 40 years, Douglas Blaydes of Jonesboro; son and daughter-in-law, Rusty and Dorrene Blaydes of Locust Grove; daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly and Jerry Davidson of McDonough; granddaughter, Haylee Jean Davidson of McDonough; mother-in-law, Lorine Blaydes of Oxford, Alabama; brothers and sisters-in-law, Lee and Heidi Roland of Ashland, Alabama, Fred and Sandra Roland of Cragford, Alabama, Harold and Patricia Roland of Alex City, Alabama; sisters, Katie Brown of Ashland, Alabama and Mary Hall of Pell City, Alabama; sister-in-law, Margaret Roland of Cragford, Alabama; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Services were held December 13 in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home, with Pastor Joe Durham and Pastor Derrick Keeter officiating. Interment Locust Grove Cemetery. Haisten Funeral Home of McDonough in charge of arrangements.

Murray Francis Armstrong
Murray Francis Armstrong, age 61, of Hampton, Georgia died December 10, 2006. Mr. Armstrong was born February 25, 1945 in Fort Fairfield, Maine, the son of the late Everett and Myrtle McCarthy Armstrong. He retired after over 22 years with the U.S. Army; attended St. James the Apostle Catholic Church; and enjoyed reading and gardening. He was preceded in death by a brother, Lewis Armstrong.
He is survived by his wife, Soda Armstrong of Hampton; daughters, Dianna Armstrong Rothacker of Hampton, Samantha Armstrong of Milledgeville; grandchildren, Joshua Armstrong Jones, Alyssa Rothacker; brothers, Charles Armstrong and Gary Armstrong, both of Maine; sister, Julia Getts of Indiana; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be held Thursday, December 14 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home, with Deacon Pat Gillespie officiating. Entombment will follow at Haisten/Eastlawn Memorial Park with full military honors. Friends may visit the family Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
