Terrell Norman Sellers
Terrell Norman Sellers, age 57, of McDonough, Georgia died December 20, 2006. Mr. Sellers was born
June 22, 1949 in New Martinsville, West Virginia the son of the late Kathryn Mae Leasure and Arthur Edgar Sellers. He served his country in the U.S. Army with two tours in Vietnam; was a driver with ABF Trucking; a member of Teamsters Local 728; and enjoyed cars, gardening, and woodworking.
He is survived by his wife, Laura Dee Steele Sellers of McDonough; children, Tami Renee Sellers and Adam Terrell Sellers, both of Ellenwood, John and Jessica Sellers of Ft. Bragg, North Carolina; grandchildren, Jacob Michael Sellers, Kameron Asher Sellers, and twins, Erick Jarvis and Jared Oliver Sellers; sister, Patricia Sellers of Massillion, Ohio.
Services were held December 24 in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home, with Rev. Gerald Castanien officiating. Please make contributions to the Disabled American Veterans in memory of Mr. Sellers. Haisten Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Julie Lynn Andrade
Julie Lynn Andrade, age 46, of Hampton, Georgia died December 21, 2006. Ms. Andrade was born
in Griffin. She was a graduate of Wesleyan College in 1982. She was preceded in death by her father, Harry Monroe Kelley.
She is survived by her daughter, Meagan Cook; son, Chase Andrade; mother, Dorothy Gloria Daniel Kelley; brother, Bradley M. Kelley; and nieces, Leighann Kelley and Heather Kelley, all of Hampton.

Marcia Fisher Swanson
Marcia Fisher Swanson, age 88, of McDonough, Georgia died December 21, 2006. Mrs. Swanson was born
May 28, 1918 in Henry County, the daughter of the late Daisy Lee Lewis and Charles Stewart Fisher. She was a member of McDonough First Baptist Church, graduated McDonough High School Class of 1935, and was a graduate of University of Georgia with her BS and Master’s degree in Home Economics. She was a member of the Henry County Retired Teachers Association. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, gardening, reading and painting. She was preceded in death by a son, Charles Bert Swanson in 1956; and her husband, Horace Hubert Swanson in 2005.
She is survived by her daughter, Marcia Ann Swanson; grandchildren, Susanna Swanson Duren and Anne Marie Swanson; great-grandchildren, Logan Swanson and Carmen Duren; sister, Agnes Fisher Beers; and brother, Lewis Fisher, all of McDonough; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services were held December 23 in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home, with Dr. Charles Thomas officiating. Interment Haisten/Eastlawn Memorial Park. Haisten Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Ervin Preston Rayfield
Ervin Preston Rayfield, age 81, of Hampton, Georgia died December 23, 2006. Mr. Rayfield was born
February 15, 1925 in Portsmouth, Virginia, the son of the late John Henry and Lillian Parker Rayfield. He served his country in the U.S. Navy during WWII and Korea, retiring after 20 years of service as Senior Chief Petty Officer. He was an air traffic controller for the FAA; was a former Hampton City Councilman; was a volunteer at-large for the Henry County Chamber of Commerce; was a member of the Hampton First United Methodist Church; the Hampton Kiwanis Club; Masonic Lodge 70; and was an aide for Newt Gingrich for many years.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Mildred V. Rayfield; children, Suzanne and Larry Crossan, Ervin P. "Pete" and Jan Rayfield, Linda and John Carbo, Virginia "Gini" and Dan Wiley, Caroline and Michael Lanasa, Ross Chinnis and Godfrey Chinnis; grandchildren, Chad and Allan Crossan, Jeremy and Ervin Rayfield, Amy and Andrew Carbo, Chris, Dani, and Terry Wiley, Lynette Lanasa and Michelle Davis; great-grandchildren, Simone Crossan and Christian Davis.
Services were held December 26 in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home, with Dr. Anthony Dean officiating. Interment Beaufort National Cemetery, with full military honors. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to the American Cancer Society in memory of Mr. Rayfield. Haisten Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Howard Lee Rivers
Howard Lee Rivers, age 90, of McDonough, Georgia died December 23, 2006. Mr. Rivers was born
in McDonough, the son of the late Tom Jefferson and Lizzie V. Tomlin Rivers. He served our country with the U.S. Army and retired with the Southern Railroad with 32 years of service. He was a member of Bethany Baptist Church where he served on the Cemetery committee as treasurer. He enjoyed going to the senior center to play pool, as well as his gardening and woodworking at home. Most important to him was his family. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nena Jewell Rivers; daughter, Janie Verlene Ashworth; sister, Jane Rivers
He is survived by his children, Donald Winfred and Lee Rivers of McDonough, Terrill and Emmilyn Rivers of Clayton, Claudia and Freddie Corley of Juliette, Thomas E. and Rhonda Rivers of McDonough; brother, David Thurman Rivers of McDonough; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Services will be held on Wednesday, December 27 at 11:00 a.m. at Bethany Baptist Church, with Rev. Al O'Quinn and Rev. Steve Murell officiating. Connie Mac Ashley Moss
Connie Mac Ashley Moss, age 74, of McDonough, Georgia died December 11, 2006. Mrs. Moss was born
April 26, 1932 in Anniston, Alabama, the daughter of the late Minnie Lee Reid and Mack Ashley. She was preceded in death by husbands, Quinton Billy Ashley, Kenny Lee Moss;
sons, Rowan Ashley, George Christopher Ashley; and eight siblings.
She is survived by her son, Rick Ashley of Bainbridge; daughter-in-law, Aundi Prather of McDonough; grandchildren, Rick and Carline Ashley of Bainesbridge, Angie Ashley of Orlando, Jennifer Marks of McDonough, Amanda Williams of McDonough; numerous nieces and nephews.
Services were held December 16 at Greenwood Cemetery
in Atlanta. Haisten Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Robert McCurdy Hunter
Robert "Bob" McCurdy Hunter, age 68, of McDonough, Georgia died December 12, 2006. Mr. Hunter was born
September 29, 1938 in Reneldsville, Pennsylvania , the son of the late Amanda Pauline Taube and Russell McCurdy Hunter. He was retired from the state as a psychologist. He enjoyed football, drum and bugle corps and lighthouses. He was known to his family as a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Lucille Jennings Hunter.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Mike and Kim Hunter of Woodstock; cherished grandchildren, Morgan Bennett, Colton Hunter, Autumn Hunter; brother and sister-in-law, David and Lynnette Hunter of Linden, Pennsylvania ; sister-in-law, Nora Jennings of McDonough; niece Airelle Giordano of Delaware; and extended family, Kenneth Bennett, Sr., the Stevens and Thompsons.
Services were held December 15 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, with Bishop Chris D. Reed officiating. Haisten Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Sally Emily Loos
Sally Emily Loos, age 90, of Stockbridge, Georgia died December 12, 2006. Mrs. Loos was born
May 24, 1916 in Henry County, the daughter of the late Willie Standard and Jesse Cargile. She was a member of the Eastern Star and Berea Christian Church. She was preceded in death by husband, Marion Herman Mobley in 1985.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Loos, Jr. of Stockbridge; children, Gloria and Joel Grosssbart of Norcross, Jess and Nancy Mobley of Naples, Florida, Sara and Floyd McDermitt of Carrollton, Faye and Tom Davis of Stockbridge, Jeannette and Marty Steiner of Ft. Myers, Florida; 14 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Elizabeth Brown of Stockbridge.
Services were held December 15 with Rev. David Fuller officiating. Interment Berea Cemetery. Haisten Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Brenda Joyce Garrison
Brenda Joyce Garrison, age 60, of Jackson, Georgia died December 12, 2006. Mrs. Garrison was born
February 8, 1946 in East St. Louis, Illinois, the daughter of the late Cina Alice Sowers and Claude Lester Langston. She retired from Marta with 22 years of service. She had been a Clayton County and Henry County bus driver, and was a member of St. John Baptist Church in Decatur. She enjoyed reading, spending time with her family and spoiling her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by brothers, Clyde, Harvey, Tom, and Webster Langston; and sister Mollie Metz.
She is survived by her husband Willie Hugh (Bill) Garrison of Jackson; children Teresa and Mark Adams of McDonough, Michael and Casey Nix of McDonough, Gina and Kenny Martin of Locust Grove, Teresa and Eddie Weathersbee of Hampton, Daryl R. and Donna Garrison of Franklin, Wesley Brown and Billy Strickland, both of Rex; 13 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and many extended family and friends.
Services were held December 16 in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home, with Rev. Kenneth Plemmons officiating. Interment Haisten/Eastlawn Memorial Park. Haisten Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
