Jonathan D. Brown, 7, of Gibson, died Wednesday, May 29, 2002, at his residence.
Jonathan was born in Richmond County but lived in Glascock County all his life.
The funeral was May 31 at 2 p.m. at Mitchell Full Gospel Church with the Rev. Jacky Downs officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Survivors include his father, Milton C. Brown, Gibson; his mother, Sharon D. Stewart, Thomson; five sisters, Cynthia Kitchens, Gibson, Jewel, Haley, and Kristen Stewart all of Thomson. Pallbearers were Rodrick Brown, Jimmy Brown, Troy Bales and Gary Stewart.
A fund is being set up at the First City Bank of Gibson for expenses.

Mary Alice Franklin
Mrs. Mary Alice Franklin died Friday, May 31, 2002.
Mrs. Franklin was the daughter of the late Matthew and Alice Cofer. While living in Warner Robins she served as a pre-school teacher at both First United Methodist Church and First Presbyterian School. She was a member of First Baptist Church and a member of the Willing Workers Sunday school class.
The funeral was June 3 at Christopher-Smith Funeral Home in Warner Robins. Burial was at 4 p.m. in the Louisville City Cemetery.
Survivors include two daughters, Gail Meason, Duluth, and Bobbie Strickland, Tifton; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Ms. Lisa Roberts, 37, of Stapleton died Saturday, May 25, 2002, at Jefferson Hospital.
The funeral was May 31 at 3 p.m. at Gethsemane Baptist Church with the Rev. Carlos Newton Sr. officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Survivors include three daughters, Valentrina Roberts and Katherine Roberts of Stapleton, and Kortia Roberts, Wrens; her parents, Mitchell (Ollie) Roberts, Stapleton; five sisters, Marie Rivers, Dianne Roberts and Shannon Roberts, Wrens, Irma J. Roberts and Rachel Roberts, Stapleton; two brothers, Calvin Roberts, Augusta and Michael Roberts, Avera; grandmother, Cleo Dawson, Avera; and three grandchildren.

Mrs. Mildred Louise Thomas of Wrens died Tuesday, May 28, 2002.
The funeral was June 2 at 3 p.m. at Stone Springfield AME Church with the Rev. Leroy Britt Sr. officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Survivors include five children, Alphonso Davis and Patricia Ann Lane, Wrens, Justine Patterson, West Palm Beach, Fla.; Denise Strothers, Mount Rainer, Md., Ronnie Thomas, Nicholas; two sisters, Marion Norman, East Elmhurst, NY, and Margaret Pugh of Augusta; 13 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Annie Mae Gibbons
Mrs. Annie Mae Gibbons of Louisville died Sunday, June 2, 2002, at Jefferson Hospital.
Mrs. Gibbons, a native of Jefferson County, was a member of the Hardeman Springfield Baptist Church where she served on the choir for many years. She was a member of Morning Star Society.
The funeral was June 5 at 2 p.m. at Hardeman Springfield Baptist Church with the Revs. Connie Allen and Bobby Gibbons officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Survivors include her children, Adam Gibbons, Louisville, Rev. Udell Thompson Curtis
Mrs. Udell Thompson Curtis of Louisville died Tuesday, June 4, 2002, at Jefferson Hospital.
Mrs. Curtis, a native of Jefferson County, was a member of the St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church where she was President of the Missionary for over 20 years, a Deaconess since 1964, a member of the Mother's Board, President of the St. Choir for 17 years. She retired from Jefferson Hospital as a nurse's assistant after 30 years of service; a grandmother for Headstart; and a member of the Chorus Delion Society; Fair and Honest Society and the Morning Star Society.
The funeral was June 8 at 11 a.m. at St. Paul Baptist Church with the Revs. Hardy Bennings Jr., King Mack, Herman Baker and Wallace Brown Jr. officiating. Burial was in the Chorus Delion Society Cemetery.
Survivors include one niece, Lula Allison, Washington, D.C.; and a host of cousins including Leroy Thompson and Sharon Walden of Louisville.

Donald Goodson
Mr. Donald Goodson, 59, of Stockbridge died Wednesday, June 5, 2002, at Portsbridge Hospice, Conyers.
Mr. Goodson was a member of Wadley Baptist Church.
The funeral was June 8 at 1 p.m. at Wadley Baptist Church with the Rev. Tom Harrison officiating. Burial was in the Wadley Cemetery.

Georgia Wren Fowler
Mrs. Georgia Wren Fowler, 89, died Saturday, May 18, 2002, at Hillcrest Hospital.
Mrs. Fowler, a native of Wrens, was the daughter of the late George T. and Will Alice Wren. She was a retired accountant and a member of Simpsonville First Baptist Church where she was a member of the Ruth Sunday School Class and the Love Circle. She was also a member of the Simpsonville Garden Club, the Simpsonville Service Club, the Hillcrest Hospital Auxiliary and the John Franklin Wren Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution in Wrens. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Edwin Fowler, two sisters, Helen Richards and Alice Ballenger, and two brothers, Maurice Wren and Oliver Wren.
The funeral was May 20 at 2 p.m. at Simpsonville First Baptist Church Chapel with the Rev. Randy Harling officiating. Burial was in Greenville Memorial Gardens.
Survivors include one sister, Louise Myers, Simpsonville; two brothers, James Wren and Marvin Wren, both of Nashville, Tenn.; and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Janie McTier Hadden, 92, of Wrens died Thursday, June 6, 2002 at Keysville Nursing Home.
Mrs. Hadden was a member of Waldens United Methodist Church. She was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Josh C. Hadden and a daughter, Ellen Rooks.
The funeral was June 9 at 3 p.m. at Waldens United Methodist Church with the Revs. Marvin Goodman and Roy White officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Survivors include two sons, William Lester Hadden and wife Peggy, Wrens, Thomas Hadden and wife Linda, Florida; one daughter, Mary McGahee and husband Melvin, Aiken; 13 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild.

Mrs. Charlotte Salter Dare, 75, a native of Bartow, died Saturday in Macon.
The funeral was June 11 at 11 a.m. at Hillcrest United Methodist Church in Macon with the Rev. Rex Odom officiating. Burial was at 3:30 p.m. at the Bartow City Cemetery.
Survivors include her sisters, Henrietta Futral of Bartow and Faye Johnson of Leesburg, Fla.; brothers, Thomas Salter of Dublin and Charles Salter of Bartow; and several nieces and nephews.

Survivors include seven daughters, Lucille Hudson and Virginia Miller, Miami, Fla., Vera Ann Knight, Bernestine Roberts, Ethel Knight and Ann Joseph, Brooklyn, N.Y., and Celia Passmore, Teaneck, N.J.; three sons, Earl Knight and Freddie Lee Knight, Bartow, and Yoma Knight Jr., Brooklyn; one sister, Ella T. May, Bartow; and 45 grandchildren.

Edgar P. Hobbs
Mr. Edgar P. Hobbs, 71, of Thomson died Thursday, June 6, 2002, in the McDuffie County Hospital.
Mr. Hobbs, a native of Jefferson County, had lived in Thomson for several years. He was a retired Air Force Veteran.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Burial will be in the Sunset Memorial Gardens in Albequerque, N.M.
Survivors include a daughter, Sharon Kuykendall, Kingsland; a son, Kenneth Hobbs, Seymour, Tenn.; a sister, Audrey Moon, Thomson; three brothers, W.H. Hobbs, Dearing, A.W. Hobbs, Augusta, and Clinton Hobbs, Thomson; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Marolyn "Lynn" Mays Wallom
Mrs. Marolyn "Lynn" Mays Wallom, 42, of Augusta died Friday, June 7, 2002, at University Hospital.
Mrs. Wallom, a native of Baldwin County, had lived in Louisville before moving to Augusta over 22 years ago. She was a member of St. Mark United Methodist Church.
The funeral was June 9 at 3 p.m. at Louisville United Methodist Church with the Rev. Danny Treadway officiating. Burial was in Louisville City Cemetery.
Survivors include her husband, Billy Wallom; a daughter, Carolyn D'Ann Wallom, Augusta; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Floyd L. Mays III and Martha and Gordon E. Mays and Carol of Wadley; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Gloria M. New and Tommy and Carrie M. Maddox and Donald of Louisville; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
