Corene Harris Webb
Corene Harris Webb, age 91, of Stockbridge, Georgia died January 24, 2007. Mrs. Webb was born
in Robertstown, the daughter of late Fernando Ketron and Julia Roxada Wood Harris. She was employed by Bell Aircraft during WWII, where she assembled aircraft. After the war she worked for many years as a seamstress. Later on in life she retired from Clayton County Juvenile Court System. She enjoyed sewing and crocheting, but traveling the world with her children was her greatest joy. Her parents instilled in her a love for God and she passed that love on to her children and gandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Gerry Dixon; and son, Billy L. Puckett, Sr.
She is survived by her daughters, Patsy Dixon of Hampton, Ginger (Wayne) Austin?of Jonesboro, Sandy Webb of Hampton; son, Steve (Michele) Webb of Stockbridge; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; sister, Pollye Wilson of New Mexico; and several nieces and nephews.
Services were held January 27 in the chapel of Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors, with Pastor Tom Daugherty and Pastor J.E. Jarrard officiating. Interment Fairview Memorial Gardens. Teresa R. Rehfus
Teresa R. Rehfus, age 46, of Stockbridge, Georgia died January 15, 2007. Mrs. Rehfus was born
in Atlanta. She was an avid Nascar Fan with her favorite driver being Dale Earnhardt, Jr. She enjoyed boating with her sister at the lake in Louisiana and gambling in the casinos. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandson, Mikey-man.
She is survived by her husband, Dale T. Rehfus; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Cassie Alexander; daughter, Tracy Alexander; mother, Frances Hayes; and grandson, Mikey Alexander, all of Stockbridge; brother, Jesse Hayes of Forest Park; sister, Joyce Perry of Slidell, Louisiana; brother, Tommy Hayes of Senoia and best friend, Jan Butts of Edmond, Oklahoma.

Pauline Watkins Wilson
Pauline Watkins Wilson, age 79, of Locust Grove, Georgia died January 15, 2007. Mrs. Wilson was born
March 5, 1927 in Cherokee County, the daughter of the late John and Lillie Allen Watkins. She enjoyed coin collecting, family history and crossword puzzles. She was preceded in death by a brother, Clarence Watkins; and a sister, Marie Mitchell.
She is survived by her loving husband, Claude H. Wilson of Locust Grove; son, David S. Wilson of Locust Grove; sister, Burdetta Davis of Cleveland, Tennessee; several nieces and nephews.
Services were held January 17 in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home, with Rev. Joey Seabolt officiating. Interment Haisten/ Eastlawn Memorial Park. For those who wish, contributions may be made to Sacred Journey Hospice, the Alzheimer’s Association, the Cancer Society or the American Heart Association in memory of Mrs. Wilson. Sara Ellis Taylor
Sara Ellis Taylor, age 88, of McDonough, Georgia died January 15, 2007. Mrs. Taylor was born
in January 14, 1919 in Henry County, the daughter of the late Dr. Henry Clifford Ellis and Willie McDowell Ellis. She attended Tift College in Macon. "Miss Sara" was elected to eight consecutive four year terms as Clerk of Henry County Superior Court. She served as Chief Deputy Clerk for eight years before the former Clerk retired. In 1998 she worked passionately with the committee to save and expand the courthouse on the square in McDonough. She was named Georgia Superior Clerk of the year in 1994. She was elected President of the County Officers Association of Georgia in 1973-74, becoming only the second woman to serve in the top office of that association. She kept the Office of the Superior Court current with the law and technology throughout her tenure. Her work in the Clerk’s office began with typing and recording deeds by hand in 1951 and, under her leadership, moved through years of microfilming with back up files at the Georgia Archives and into the selection and development of efficient computer systems. She served on statewide committees for designing uniform dockets for the court systems, uniform rules in conjunction with clerks and judges, and on the records retention committee to organize and protect the records of the courts. Shortly before her last election in 1996 she was awarded a 30-consecutive-year training certificate for continuing education seminars in court management, law and technology. Her philosophy and commitment to her life work hung on the wall of her office, "The records of the past will have no value in the future unless they are properly cared for today." She was a member of the McDonough Baptist Church and the Henry County Chamber of Commerce, as well as several state, national and international Clerks’ associations. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Joel Stewart Taylor; and a sister, Dorothy Ellis Carmichael Castellaw.
She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Claire and Edward Ward of Glen Allen, Virginia, Elyse and Michael Fidler of Manassas, Virginia; and granddaughter, Rebekah Elyse Carmichael of New York City.
Services were held January 20 in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home, with Rev. Walter Jones and Rev. James Miller officiating. Interment Haisten/Eastlawn Memorial Park. Antoinette P. Boyd
Antoinette "Toni" P. Boyd, age 69, of Stockbridge, Georgia died January 16, 2007. Mrs. Boyd was born
in Memphis, Ten-nessee, the daughter of the late George Anthony and Vasiliki George Demetriades Pappas. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Moses Boyd.
She is survived by her daughter, Viki L. Boyd of Locust Grove.

Sherry Jones Graham
Sherry Jones Graham, age 54, of Calhoun, Georgia died January 17, 2007. Mrs. Graham was born
in Milledgeville. She was of the Baptist faith and was a loving mother, daughter, and sister. She was preceded in death by her father, Samuel Winston Jones.
She is survived by her daughter, Sarah Graham of Calhoun; mother, Hazel Jones of McDonough; sister, Brenda Molchos of Conyers; brother, Gary Jones of Tyrone; and several nieces and nephews.

Levaughn Hill
Levaughn "Swamp" Hill, age 66, of Locust Grove, Georgia died January 18, 2007. Mr. Hill was born
March 16, 1940 in Chatsworth, the son of the late Nellie Caylor and Samuel Clint Hill. He was self-employed as a diesel mechanic, he enjoyed fishing and NASCAR.
He sis survived by his wife, Shirley Hill of Locust Grove; children, Debbie and Grady Henley, Dixie Hill, Lisa Hill and Sam Mann, all of Locust Grove, and Linda and Steve Owens of McDonough; grandchildren, Kasey, Kim, Levi, Haylie; great-grandchild, Courtney; brothers, B.C. Hill and Leon Hill, both of Riverdale; sisters, Geraldine Fullerton of Hampton, Betty Betsill of Griffin; several nieces and nephews.
Services were held January 21 in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home, with Rev. Pete Paige officiating. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make donations to the family in memory of Mr. Hill. Haisten Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Gordon Lewis Winter
Gordon Lewis Winter, age 77, of Stone Mountain, Georgia died January 18, 2007. Mr. Winter was born
in Atlanta, the son of the late Lyman and Mary Otis Coleman Winter. He was a member of the Shriners. He was preceded in death by his son, Danny Stowe.
He is survived by his wife, Doris Maline "Tootsie" Winter of Stone Mountain; children, Sherry Lois (Greg) Dobbs of Midland, Texas , Tony Lewis Stowe of Locust Grove; grandchildren, Danny Stowe, Tommy Lewis Stowe, Wes (Lisa) Holder, Jason Gordon (Stephanie) Holder, Kris (Jenny) Dobbs, Adrienne (Jeremy) Rhodes, Kristie Maline Stevens and family; great-grandchildren, Tucker, Baylee, Caleb, Carson, Jordan, Avry, Anna, and Logan, brother-in-law and friend, Milton Pritchett and family; sister-in-law, Barbara Bowen and family; nieces, Donna and Yvette and families.

John James Hammock
John James Hammock, age 86, of McDonough, Georgia died January 8, 2007. “Big John” was born
July 4, 1920 in Phenix City, Alabama, the son of the late Edward Napolean and Elizabeth Hammock. He served his country in the U.S. Army; was a first member of Atlanta Boys Club; was an engraver for the AJC, was a brick mason contractor; and a charter member of Faith Memorial Assembly of God. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, traveling and gardening. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marie Evelyn Andrew Hammock in 2003.
He is survived by his children, James and Betty Hammock of Covington, Mary and Marshall Patton of McDonough, John Hammock of Clearwater, Florida, Joe and Carolyn Hammock of McDonough, Mark Hammock of Clearwater, Florida, Tim and Donna Hammock of McDonough; 22 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren; sisters, Nanalee Crow of Forest Park, Ramona Swearingen of Jenkinsburg, and Lorena Maire of Nebraska; several nieces and nephews.
Services were held January 11 at McDonough First Assembly of God, with Rev. Michael Branson, Rev. Jimmy Swilley and Rev. Jack Chalmers officiating. Interment Sherwood Memorial Park. Haisten Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
