Jeanette Brooks Hutton
Jeanette Brooks Hutton of McDonough, Georgia died March 29, 2007. She was a native of Butts County, and daughter of the late Thomas Grady Brooks and Maebell Maddux Brooks. She and her late husband, Bryan, who died in 1988, were residents of Decatur before moving to the Hazelhurst House in McDonough. Bryan had received the home through his ancestry. She was a nurse and had worked for the office of Dr. Kell, Pediatrician, in Atlanta for several years. She enjoyed attending the Henry County Moose Lodge for several years. She was preceded in death by her brothers, James and Harold; and sisters, Lucile, Florence and Barbara.
She is survived by her sisters, Dot Melvin of McDonough, Grace Cawthon of Forsyth; and several nieces and nephews.
Services were held March 31 with Dr. Tom Drake officiating. Haisten Funeral Home of Jackson in charge of arrangements.
Ruth Martin Driskell
Ruth Martin Driskell, age 94, of Stockbridge, Georgia died March 14, 2007. Mrs. Driskell was born
in Howard, the daughter of the late William Homer and Nancy Denise Averett Martin. She was a member of McDonough Christian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Murray E. Driskell; and son, Ferrell B. Driskell.
She is survived by her daughter, Jackie (Milton) Edmonson?of Stockbridge; daughter-in-law, Betty Driskell?of Franklin, North Carolina; grandchildren, Susan (Mark) Butler, Dennis (Dawn) Edmonson, Wayne Edmonson, Alan Driskell; nine great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews; great nieces and nephews.
Services were held March 17 at McDonough Christian Church, with Minister Paul Leslie officiating. Interment Howard Cemetery?in Howard. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Southwest Christian Care Hospice, 7225 Lester Road, Union City, Georgia, 30291. Julius Belar Johnson
Julius Belar (JB) Johnson, age 84, of McDonough, Georgia died March 17, 2007. Mr. Johnson was born
in Newton County, the son of the late Bela Pinnell and Joseph Grier Johnson. He served his country and retired from the U.S. Navy after 22 years. He retired from Snapper Power Equipment with 18 years of service. He was a member of Mt. Bethel United Methodist Church and the Worthville Masonic Lodge Chapter 122. He enjoyed his family, his church, camping, the beach, fishing and watching the birds. He was preceded in death by his wife, Grace Johnson; and several siblings.
He is survived by his children, Cheryl and Don Jones of St. Mary’s, Jane and Jimmy Wehunt of McDonough, John and Sonya Johnson of Pensacola, Florida; sisters, Ruth Winkles and Vivian Rodriques, both of McDonough; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Services were held March 22 at Mt. Bethel United Methodist Church, with Rev. Mark Outlaw officiating. Haisten Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
James Frank Townsend
James Frank (Goober) Townsend, age 82, of McDonough, Georgia died March 18, 2007. He was born
January 16, 1925 in Butts County, the son of the late Joseph Albert Townsend and Lillie Bell Smith Townsend. He was in the U.S. Army during WWII in Japan. He retired from the Bowman Transportation Company following 30 years of service. He was a member of the Worthville Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Hattie Viola Cochran Townsend in 1966; and sister, Mildred (Mrs. Troy) Allen.
He is survived by his children, Dwight and Teresa Townsend, and Avanell and Wesley Pruitt, all of Jackson, Debbie and Van Palmer?of Milner, Teresa and William Lyle of Locust Grove, and Franklin Townsend, Jr. and Jimmy Roberts, both of McDonough; twenty grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren.
Services were held March 21 in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home, with Rev. Bill Dale officiating. Interment Worthville Baptist Cemetery. Haisten Funeral Home of Jackson in charge of arrangements.
Barbara Everett McRae
Barbara Everett McRae, age 49, of Locust Grove, Georgia died March 18, 2007. Mrs. McRae was born
September 15, 1957 in Turkey, the daughter of the late Corrine Marie Delevieleuse Everett and Robert S. Everett. She graduated cum laude from Mercer University; was a founding member of Middle Georgia Quilt Guild; and enjoyed gardening. She was preceded in death by a sister, Karen Everett.
She is survived by her husband, Alan McRae of Locust Grove; children, Nikki and Bobo Helms of McDonough, Joshua Bryant and fiancé Britt Hernhold of Portland, Oregon; grandchildren, Jocelyn and Jamie Helms; father and stepmother, Bob and Susan Everett of Reston, Virginia; brothers, Mike Everett of Virginia, Tom Everett of Nevada, John Everett of Virginia; sister, Susan Commerford of California; stepsister, Deedra Everett of Virginia; and stepbrother, Dan Everett of Florida
Services were held March 22 in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home, with Rev. Bobby Mullinax officiating. Interment Macon Memorial Park. Haisten Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Franklin Lamar Camp
Franklin Lamar Camp, age 64, of McDonough, Georgia died March 20, 2007. Mr. Camp was born
February 7, 1943 in Henry County. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ella Mae Foster Camp.
He is survived by his aunts, Lizzie Mitchell?of Hampton; Evelyn Foster of McDonough; Elizabeth Foster of Barnesville; and numerous cousins.

Virginia Attaway
Virginia Attaway, age 87, of McDonough, Georgia died March 20, 2007. Mrs. Attaway was born
in Atlanta, the daughter of the late Hudson and Ethel Cantrell Adams. She was a member of McDonough First United Methodist Church, where she formerly served on the Administrative Board as the Chairperson of the Missions Committee. She was in the Billy Fields Sunday School Class as well as the Disciple Bible Study. She was also a member of The Ada Newman/Bertha Bunn circle, The Lila Miller Circle, The Sunshine Club, a member of the Gideons, the American Legion Post #55 Auxillary, and Moose Lodge 1303. She retired from Rich’s, where she had worked as an administrative assistant. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Richard Attaway; and her sister, Jane Watts.
She is survived by her daughters, Ellen (Donnie) Dalrymple of Stockbridge, Joan (Alex) Stevens?of Oxford; grandchildren, Beth (Bobby) Nama?of McDonough, Greg (Sandy) Dalrymple of Stockbridge, Stepheni (Jimmy) Lawhorne?of Barnesville; nine great-grandchildren; one great-grandson-in-law; sisters, Eloise Long of Grayson, Barbara Spurlin of Jacksonville, Florida; several nieces and nephews; and her dear friends and caregivers, Carole Potts and Clara Cross.
Services were held March 23 at First United Methodist Church, McDonough with Rev. Dana Everhart and Rev. Mack Riley officiating. Interment Eastlawn Memorial Gardens. Jimmye S. Turner
Jimmye S. Turner, age 96, of McDonough, Georgia died March 21, 2007. She was born
in McDonough, the daughter of the late Howard and Eula Rape Stancil. She retired as a librarian with the State University System and was a member of the First Baptist Church in McDonough.
She is survived by her sons, James E. Turner, Jr.? and Tommy Turner, both of McDonough, Toby Turner of Florida; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Donald Allen Pritchett
Donald Allen Pritchett, age 79, of McDonough, Georgia died March 23, 2007. Mr. Pritchett was born
in Knoxville, Tennessee, the son of the late Johnny Jeanette Haynes and Archibald Allen Pritchett. He served his country in the U.S. Marines from 1945 to 1949, and was a member of NRA and NSSA. He was a devoted father, good friend to all, loved animals, enjoyed black powder shooting and was quite a marksman. He was preceded in death by his wife, Constance Wright Pritchett.
He is survived by his children, Joe and Becky Condon of McDonough, Pat and Peggy Bryant of Lenexa, Kansas; grandchildren, Jonnie Condon of McDonough, Sam and Josh Bryant of Lenexa, Kansas.
Services were held March 29 in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home, with Rev. Pat Bryant officiating. Interment Haisten/ Eastlawn Memorial Park. Haisten Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
