Mr. Lamb was born in Emanuel County and was a member of the Lambs Chapel United Methodist Church.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 2, 2009, at the Lambs Chapel United Methodist Church. Interment followed in the Wadley City Cemetery.
Survivors include his daughter, Rachel Brodie Lamb; son, Alec Cole Lamb; father, Watson L. Lamb; brother, Craig Lamb; and two nieces.
Pallbearers were Ollie Freeman, Christopher Cash, Ronnie Polan, Greg Hall, Terry Marsh, Tony Lamb and Charles Purvis.

Funeral services for Ms. Alice Mae Lane, 47, of Wrens were held on Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2009, at 2:30 p.m. at the Mt. Aldred CME Church, Warrenton, with the Rev. Dr. Willie J. Wiley, pastor, officiating. Interment was in the churchyard cemetery.
Survivors include three daughters, Angela Whigham, Lanesia Lane, both of Wrens, and Shatara Berry of Statesboro; one grandson, Tydarius Stone, Wrens; sister, Laverne Lane Tucker, Wrens; brother, Willie Lane, Wrens; four aunts, Jerlene Turner, Evans, Eva Jean (Leotis) Smith, Queens, N.Y., Darlene Lockhart, Augusta, and Jenette McCoy, Wrens; five uncles, Raymond McNair, Sedric (Margaret) McNair, all of Augusta, Willie (Teresa) Lane, Thomson, Sammie Lane and George (Minnie) Lane, both of Wrens; two nieces; six nephews; and a host of relatives and friends.

Mr. Harold Keith Lewis, 56, of Dearing entered into rest on Monday, Jan. 26, 2009, at University Hospital.
Mr. Lewis was a native of McDuffie County. He was a retired textile technician.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 29, 2009, in the Curtis Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Charlie Deloach and Rev. John Jenkins officiating. Burial was in Adams Chapel Cemetery, Dearing.
Survivors include his wife, Robin Lewis, Dearing; a daughter, Amy Lynn Lewis, Stapleton; three sons, Brian Keith Lewis, Hephzibah, James Clinton Lewis, Grovetown, and Richard Tracy Lewis, Dearing; his mother, Betty Mae Lewis, Crossville, Tenn.; three stepsons, Michael Kennedy Jr., North Augusta, S.C., Eddie Lee Jacobs, Appling, and Robert Willis Jacobs, Warrenton; two sisters, Nancy Lewis, Crossville, Tenn., and Naomi Lewis, Atlanta; and eight grandchildren.

Mrs. Patricia Lokey
Mrs. Patricia Lokey of Dearing entered into rest on Thursday, Jan. 29, 2009, at the McDuffie Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Lokey was born in Griffin and was the daughter of the late Willie A. Kilgore and the late Tincy Irma Banks Kilgore. She retired after 16 years as administrative assistant to Chief Superior Court Judge Robert L. Stevens, of the Toombs Judicial Circuit. She also served as church pianist to several area churches, as well as providing private instruction to numerous area piano students. Mrs. Lokey was also a member of First Baptist Church in Thomson and a member of the Jubalheirs Praise and Proclamation Ministry.
Funeral services were held Sunday, Feb. 1, 2009, at 3 p.m. at the First Baptist Church, Thomson, with Dr. James Ramsey officiating. Interment followed in Westview Cemetery.
Survivors include her husband, John Walter Lokey, Dearing; daughters, Christa Lynn Kendrick, Lawrenceville, and Susan Claire Kendrick Cash, Winder; two grandchildren, Hailee and Hilton Cash; sister, Louise Sisson, Charlotte, N.C.; and nephews, Ivan Sisson and Chris Sisson.

Mrs. Louise B. Lytle of Stapleton entered into rest on Wednesday, Jan.21, 2009, in Louisville.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2009, at Hudson Mortuary Chapel in Wadley, with the Pastor Edwards officiating. Burial was in the Braddy Family cemetery in Bartow.
Survivors include her husband, Henry; her children, Eliot (Sandy), Fargo, N.D., and Ross (Julie), Boardman, Ohio; five grandchildren, Whitney, Olivia, Eric, Jamison and Tyson; her sisters, Shirley Braddy and Lucille Lewis; her brothers, Melvin Braddy and Elijah Braddy; aunts, Grace Braddy and Lillian Brockington and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Carolyn May Oldknow
Mrs. Carolyn May Oldknow, 67, entered into rest on Saturday, Jan. 24, 2009, after a 25 year battle with cancer.
Mrs. Oldknow was born May 17, 1941, in Wrens, and attended school in Jefferson County, where she graduated with perfect attendance from Wrens High School in 1958.
Funeral services were held at Eternal Hills Funeral Home on Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2009, at 11 a.m., with Pastor Dennis Nunn officiating.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Dianne May Abernathy and Francis May Pierce; her parents, William Russell May and Mary W. Thompson May.
Survivors include her husband of 46 years, Bob Oldknow; sons, Robert Oldknow and Keith Oldknow; daughter, Jodi Oldknow Nicholson; son-in-law John Nicholson; daughter-in-law Lori Oldknow; nine grandchildren, Taylor Nicholson, Jacob Oldknow, Jack Nicholson, Justin Oldknow, Jonathan Oldknow, Bailey Nicholson, Sam Nicholson, Jordan Oldknow and Julianne May Oldknow; six siblings, Robert May, Louise May Rintye, Buddy May, Jimmy May, Don May, Ann May Henry and Jean May.

Mrs. Hazel Dunn Tucker of Tennille entered into rest on Thursday, Jan. 29, 2009, at University Hospital, Augusta.
A native of Warren County, she was a member of Mill Creek Baptist Church.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 1, 2009, at Sheppard Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Tony Key officiating. Interment was in Mill Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard “Dick” and Laura Mae Landrum Dunn.
Survivors include three sisters, Mary Meeks of Tennille, Linda Johnson of Tennille, and Sara McDonald of Gibson; several nieces and nephews; two sisters-in-law, Sandra Dunn and Dahlia Dunn.

Mr. Keith West, 53, of Gibson entered into rest on Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2009, in Augusta.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and a native of Richmond County, but lived in Gibson most of his life.
Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 30, 2009, in the Edgehill Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Cemetery, with George Nichols officiating.
Survivors include his parents, Harold and Mary Alice Williams West of Gibson; one brother, Terry West of Gibson; and one sister, Donna Knight of Waynesboro.

Mr. Ronnie L. Daniel of Atlanta entered into rest on Saturday, Jan. 31, 2009, at the Thomson Health and Rehab Center, Thomson.
Mr. Daniel was a native of Glascock County and a retired sales clerk.
Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 6, 2009, at Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery, with Rev. Allen Holbrook officiating.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. James Nesbit and Mrs. Loila Downs Daniel; a sister, Connie Pulliam; and a brother, J. N. Daniel.
Survivors include a brother, Donnie Daniel of Lilburn; and one sister, Monnie Daniel Hicks of Dearing.

Mrs. Christine Merritt Holton
Mrs. Christine Merritt Holton, 78, of North Augusta, S.C. entered into rest on Monday, Feb. 2, 2009.
Mrs. Holton was a native of Washington County, Georgia, having made North Augusta her home for the past 55 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of North Augusta and wife of the late Glyn L. Holton.
Funeral services were Thursday, Feb. 5, 2009, at 11 a.m. at the Posey Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Jerry Pitmann and Rev. Steve Keener officiating. Interment was in Pineview Memorial Park.
Survivors include a son, Larry (Debbie) Holton, North Augusta, S.C.; four daughters, Sherrill Faye (Trippi) Yarbrough, Davisboro, Anne (Richard) Logan, Glynda (Larry) Borders and Judy (J.L.) Mr. Wright Sinquefield Jordan
Mr. Wright Sinquefield Jordan, 78, formerly of Spartanburg, S.C., entered into rest on Monday, Feb. 2, 2009, at Rae-Ann Suburban Nursing Center in Cleveland, Ohio.
Mr. Jordan was born March 8, 1930, and grew up on a farm in Wrens, with eight siblings during the great depression. He was a member of the Air Force for four years, after which he earned a bachelors of science degree from Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College, a master’s degree from The University of Georgia, and a Ph.D. from Pennsylvania State University. He held various positions in the agricultural and teaching fields during his career, including many years as a professor at Clemson University.
A memorial service was held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 7, 2009, at Oak Grove Baptist Church, Spartanburg, S.C.
He was preceded in death by his parents, seven brothers and sisters; and his wife of 29 years, Jewel Askew Jordan.
Survivors include his wife of 16 years, Irma Thomoff Jordan of Cleveland, Ohio; sister, Helen Jordan Klotz (Gordon) of Lansing, Mich.; daughter, Reta Jordan Peery (Briggs) of Atlanta; and two grandchildren, Eleanor Jordan Peery and Briggs Cooper Peery.

Mr. Robert W. Lamb
Mr. Robert W. Lamb, 66, of Augusta entered into rest on Sunday, Feb. 8, 2009, at his residence.
Mr. Lamb was born in Wadley on March 25, 1942, to the late 2nd Lt. Billy Joe Lamb and Eloise Warren Lamb Tarver. He graduated from Wadley High School and attended Georgia Tech before receiving a bachelor’s degree in education from Georgia Southern University. He was a teacher and coach for a number of years before becoming an entrepreneur. He coached in Wadley, Greene County, Commerce and Evans. Mr. Lamb owned and operated The Sir Shop, Statesboro, for 16 years. While in Statesboro, he served as a volunteer coach for the Statesboro-Bulloch County Recreation Department for many years. After leaving Statesboro, he and his wife owned and operated The Huddle House Restaurant in Washington for eight years. He moved to Augusta and owned a construction company before retiring. Mr. Lamb was one of the original Dirty Dozen who is credited with bringing football back to Georgia Southern University. He was a member of Augusta Country Club.
A memorial service was held on Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2009, at 11 a.m. at Thomas Poteet and Son chapel, with Dr. Greg DeLoach officiating.
Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Jane Colvin Lamb of Lincolnton; two sons, Scott (Kristy) Lamb of Warner Robins, and Chris (Kim) Lamb of Kingsland; five grandchildren, Lauren, Taylor, Jacob, Avery and Rylee Lamb; stepfather, Jimmy (Audrey) Tarver of Wadley; one sister, Sue (Ronnie) Hayslip of Grovetown; one brother, Jim (Betty Rose) Tarver of Zephryhills, Fla.; and mother-in-law, Sara Colvin of Lincolnton.

Mr. Kelly was a native of Jefferson County, a retired employee of International Fertilizer Company, and attended True Vine Baptist Church.
