Wilda Norris Wise
Wilda Norris Wise, age 69, of McDonough, Georgia, died October 22, 2009. Mrs. Wise was born
in Atlanta, the daughter of the late Hilda Stanley Brand and William Riley Norris. She was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, John Rayford Wise. Mrs. Wise was a member of Bethany Baptist Church, where she was active with the choir, Sunday School, and other participating groups. She was a member of the Henry County Community Chorus, Henry County Retired Teachers and Educators Association, Red Hat Ladies, and a Para Pro in several of the schools in the Henry County School System. Even after her retirement, she went back to the schools to assist with mentoring in reading and she considered every child she assisted her own child, providing them with love and support.
Survivors are her children, John and Laura Wise of McDonough and Leigh Wise and Jeff of Perry; grandchildren, Jared and Ellen Wise of McDonough. Funeral services for Mrs. Wise were held October 26 at Bethany Baptist Church, with Rev. Al O’Quinn officiating. Interment in the church cemetery. John Charles Douglas Brown
John Charles Douglas Brown, age 72, of McDonough, Georgia, formerly of Gadsden, Alabama, died October 22, 2009. Mr. Brown was born
in Gadsden, Alabama, the son of the late Fannie Mae Benefield and John Brown. He was preceded in death by his wife, Frieda Brown; son, David Brown and brother, Joe Brown. He was known as the 11th Street Santa; he enjoyed traveling, eagles and spending time with his family. Mr. Brown served his country in the U. S. Army.
Survivors are his daughter, Vicki Budden of McDonough; grandchildren, Tana Brookshire, Amber Bivins, and Jonathan Laney; 5 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Ken Johnson
Ken Johnson, age 34, of Stock-bridge, Georgia, died Friday, October 23, 2009. He was born
in Albany on November 8, 1974. Ken enjoyed his music, cooking, and the outdoors.
Ken Johnson is survived by his mother, Rebecca Johnson, Stockbridge; father, James Kendall Johnson, Sr., Bluffton, South Carolina; sister, Elizabeth Ann Fenimore, Warner Robins; nieces and nephews; several aunts, uncles, and cousins, and his dog Daisy.

Mary Smith
Mary Smith, age 76, of McDonough, Georgia, died October 24, 2009. She was born
in Chattanooga, Tennessee, to the late Frank and Jessie Hughes Marler. Mrs. Smith enjoyed pen and ink painting, crocheting, and cooking. She retired as a supervisor with the IRS.
Mrs. Smith is survived by her husband, George Wilbur Smith; daughters, Donna McCormick and Connie Donehoo, all of McDonough; 5 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren; sister, Betty Posey, Chattanooga, Tennessee; and several nieces and nephews.

William Lively
William Lively, age 75, of McDonough, Georgia, died October 24, 2009. He was born
in Atlanta to the late Clinton Paul and Catherine Fain Lively.
Mr. Lively is survived by his sons, Ken Lively and William David Lively, both of McDonough; 2 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; sisters, Nina Hilsman, McDonough; Elizabeth Lee, Riverdale, Polly Bowling, Breman, and Eva Mae Lively.

Robert Malcom Vandeman
Robert Malcolm Vandeman, of Eatonton, Georgia, passed away on October 25, 2009 at his residence. He was 60 years old.
Robert was born
in Takoma Park, Maryland, on July 19, 1949, to the late George and Nellie Vandeman, Sr.
He served in the U. S. Army from 1969 to 1971, serving our country during the Viet Nam War.
Robert has left his wife, Cathy Roberts Vandeman, with many cherished memories and his love. He is also survived by his daughter, Holli (Chuck) Calla-han; grandchildren, Lillie and Chase Callahan; a sister, Connie Jeffrey; and two brothers, George Vandeman Jr. and Ronnie Vandeman.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, October 28, 2009, at Vining Ivy Hill Chapel, Eatonton, from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Service will be at the Georgia Veterans Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, October 28, 2009, at 11 a.m., followed by burial. Vining Ivy Hill Chapel of Eatonton, 706-485-4144, in charge of arrangements.
Lacy Vernon Reynolds
Lacy Vernon Reynolds, age 80, of McDonough died October 4, 2009. Lacy was born
in Franklin County, Alabama, to the late Harvey Lee and Lettie Elois Arthur Reynolds. He was preceded in death by his wife LaVane Reynolds in 2001. He served his country in the United States Air Force and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Lacy was a teacher, a principal and was in the insurance business for many years. He had a passion for horses.
Survivors include his wife, Debbie Reynolds of McDonough; children, Randy “Lacy” Reynolds and his wife, Kathy Seaton Reynolds of Conyers, Rebekah Reynolds of McDonough, Ashley Reynolds of Jackson; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services were conducted October 10 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Stockbridge, Bishop Daniel Hanekamp officiating. Interment at Evergreen Cemetery
