William Edward “Dub” Dye Jr.
Mr. William Edward “Dub” Dye Jr., 78, of Wrens died Thursday, Aug. 23, 2007, at Medical College of Georgia Hospital.
Mr. Dye was retired from Thermo King.
He was a member of Providence Baptist Church of Augusta.
The funeral was Aug. 26 at 4 p.m. at James Funeral Home chapel with Joe Wilburn officiating.
Burial was in Wrens Memorial Cemetery.
Survivors include his children, Wanda Vinson, Dearing, Faye Godowns, Louisville, Kaye Dye, Wrens, and Mary Jane Wilson, Rincon; a brother, Melvin Dye, Louisville; two sisters, Mary Englett, Thomson, and Orna Meeker, Augusta; 11 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Keith Dowdy, Bruce Dowdy, Shannon Godowns, Rayn Godowns, Lester Hadden and Bootsie Martin.

Easter Shaw Laster
Mrs. Easter Shaw Laster of Wadley died Thursday, Aug. 16, 2007.
The funeral was Aug. 25 at 2 p.m. at Brinson Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. David Kemp officiating.
Burial was in the Harsdhell Cemetery.
Survivors include four daughters, Rosie Lee Frazier and Luvenia Thomas, Wadley, Dora (Sam) Fisher, Hephzibah, and Sallie (Harold) Jones, Columbus; two sons, Jeff (Joyce) Laster Jr., Millen, and Henry (Betty) Laster, Swainsboro; one sister, Katie Shaw, Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; 33 grandchildren; 88 great-grandchildren; and six great-great- grandchildren.
Pallbearers were George Larry, Henry Laster Sr., Lorenzo Laster, Rufus Laster Jr., Rufus Frazier, Jeffery Laster, Gregory Jones and Willie C. Frazier.

Ealese Moore
Ms. Ealese Moore, 79, of Augusta died Monday, Aug. 20, 2007, at Trinity Hospital in Augusta.
Ms. Moore, a native of Jefferson County, was the daughter of the late Homer Moore and Emma Whitfield Moore.
She was a member of Ways Grove Baptist Church and later joined Augusta’s Liberty Bap[tist Church.
She attended the Friendship Community Center and resided at Augusta’s Bargeron Personal Care Home.
The funeral was Aug. 25 at 10:30 a.m. at Liberty Baptist Church with the Rev. Don A. Darden officiating.
Burial was in Ways Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
Survivors include three sisters, Lover McDonald, Gwendolyn Morton, Miami, Fla., and Martha Tolver, Killeen, Texas; one brother, Ernest Moore; and several other relatives.

Shirley Black Osborne
Mrs. Shirley Black Osborne, 71, of Sandersville died Thursday, Aug. 23, 2007.
Mrs. Osborne was a native of Glascock County.
She was the daughter of the late Fred Herman Black and the late Louise Bridges Black.
She was a homemaker, a lifelong resident of Washington County and a member of Downs Church of God.
She is preceded in death by her husband Edward Osborne.
The funeral was Aug. 26 at 3 p.m. at the Downs Church of God with the Revs. Fred Garrett and Quint Shepherd officiating.
Burial was in the church cemetery.
Survivors include her children, Marvin (Margaret) Osborne, Harrison, Wayne Osborne, Augusta, Cynthia (Dale Sr.) Copeland, Wrightsville, Daniel (Amanda) Collins, Oconee and Michael (Vickie) Osborne, Sandersville; brothers, Willie Black, Harrison, and Robert Black, Gibson; sisters, Martha Williford and Frances Mathis; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Blanche S. Stavely
Mrs. Blanche S. Stavely, 83, of Bartow died Saturday, Aug. 25, 2007.
Mrs. Stavely, a native of Glascock County, was the daughter of the late Joseph and Coila Hawkins Spear.
She was a member of Praising Hymn Ministries Church in Louisville.
She is preceded in death by her husband Grover Cleveland Stavely.
The funeral was Aug. 28 at 11 a.m. at Taylor Funeral Home with Pastor Richard Stavely and Pastor Cindy J. Hurt officiating.
Burial was in the Louisville City Cemetery.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, J.W. and Edith Stavely, Bartow; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and four great-great- grandchildren.

Chrystal Leigh Williams
Miss Chrystal Leigh Williams, 16, of Thomson died Friday, Aug. 24, 2007, at Medical College of Georgia Hospital in Augusta.
Miss Williams was born in Augusta but lived most of her life in Thomson.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Warrenton and the First Baptist Youth Group.
She was an 11th grade student of Thomson High School, a former member of the Bulldog Brigade and played McDuffie County Recreation Fast-Pitch Softball.
She is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Carolyn and Cy Fortier, and her paternal grandparents, Margaret and James Miller.
The funeral was Aug. 26 at 3 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Warrenton with Dr. Charles Drummond offi ciating.
Burial was in Westview Cemetery.
Survivors include her father, William “Bill” (Lynn) Williams, Stapleton; her mother, Jamie (Barry) House, Thomson; sisters, Sabrina Williams and Kayla Williams, Stapleton; a brother, Joshua Cowart, Stapleton; paternal grandparents, Burt (Pam) Williams, Louisville, and Brenda Williams, Louisville; and maternal grandparents, Kermit and Jackie House, Warrenton.

Mr. Steven Andrew Wilson, 20, of Boneville died Sunday, Aug. 19, 2007.
Mr. Wilson was a native of Springfi eld, Mass., but had lived in Thomson for several years.
He worked at White Columns and Waffle House Restaurants.

Mrs. Bessie Maude Cooper Bales, 78, of Thomson died Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2007, at McDuffi e Regional Medical Center in Thomson.
Mrs. Bales was a native of Glascock County.
The funeral was Aug. 18 at 2 p.m. at Mitchell Full Gospel Church with the Revs. Eddie Renew and Jacky Downs officiating. Burial was in the Cooper Family Cemetery.

Mr. Tony Hadden, 52, of Matthews died Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2007.
Mr. Hadden was a carpenter, union ironworker at Plant Vogtle. He was a Baptist.
The funeral was Aug. 18 at 2 p.m. at James Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Elliott Fulmer officiating.
Survivors include his mother, Nellie Reeves; and two sisters, Louise Messer, Matthews, and Barbara Hutto, Summerville, SC.

Keith Blair Harris
Mr. Keith Blair Harris, 40, of Keysville died Friday, Aug. 17, 2007, in Augusta.
Mr. Harris was a member of Rosemont Heights Baptist Church and worked as an electrician at The Medical College of Georgia.
The funeral was Aug. 21 at 2 p.m. at Rosemont Heights Baptist Church, Waynesboro, with the Rev. Keith Alderman officiating. Burial was in Waynesboro Memorial Gardens.
He is predeceased by his father, G.R. Harris. Survivors include his wife, Stacey R. Harris; his daughter, Shelby Blair Harris; his son, Trent Rivers Harris, all of Keysville; his mother, Judith Scott and her husband Hugh, North Augusta, SC; one sister, Susan Tuten and her husband Timothy, Graniteville, SC; mother-in-law and father-inlaw, Rebecca and W.H. Reddick, Keysville; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Kim and Keith Reddick; one nephew, Blake Reddick; and two nieces, Leah and Anna Tuten.
Pallbearers were John Howell, Mike Drexler, Ritchie Mc- Carley, William Jordan, Mike Cartee, Tommy Sanders and Rod Raley.
Honorary pallbearers were working associates of Mr. Harris’ at the Medical College of Georgia.
