Mrs. Jeannette L. Rahn Morgan, 85, entered into rest on July 22, 2010, at Unihealth Nursing Home in Augusta.?
Mrs. Morgan, an Effingham County native, was the daughter of the late Hubert L. and Eula W. Rahn. She was the wife of the late Rev. Herbert L. Morgan Jr., a United Methodist pastor.?They served in the Savannah District at Wesley Oak, Pooler, Pembroke, Rosehill UMC at Columbus, and the Coleman-St. John Charge in Wadley.
Funeral services were held at Thomas C. Strickland?and Son Funeral home, with Rev. Paul Dupree, a lifelong friend, officiating.
Survivors include her daughter, Lisa M. Stoms of Grovetown; son-in-law, Daniel Stoms; brother, Alfred Rahn of Guyton; grandchildren, Jarrod Pickard, Hayden Stoms and Elena Stoms.

Mr. Wayne T. Neal, 44, of Mitchell entered into rest on Aug. 2, 2010.
Services were held on Saturday, Aug. 7, 2010, at noon at Second Mineral Springs Baptist Church, with Rev. Robert L. Smith officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Survivors include his parents, Sarah Mae Tucker Neal and John Henry Neal Jr.; daughter, Alishia Neal of Thomson; two stepdaughters, Chikita Hill and Shamekia Tucker, both of Thomson; two stepsons, Timothy Hill and Dennis Burdette; brother, Johnny Neal of Warrenton; two sisters, Marcia K. Mr. Armand Allyn Algier Sr.
Mr. Armand Allyn Algier Sr. of Thomson entered into rest on Sunday, Aug. 15, 2010, at University Hospital.
Mr. Algier was born in Hartford, Conn., and was the son of the late Albert Algier and the late Charlotte Palmer Algier. He lived in McDuffie County and Columbia County for over 25 years. Mr. Algier served in the U.S. Navy during Korea and Vietnam and retired after 20 years of service. He also retired as Major from the Georgia Public Service Commission after 18 years. Mr. Algier was a founding member of the Lighthouse Pentecostal Church in Thomson.
Memorial services were held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 18, 2010, at Beggs Funeral Home Chapel, with Brother Jerry McNutt officiating.
Survivors include his wife, Leveda C. Algier, Thomson; sons, Daniel Whittle (Barbara), Ambrose, and J.R. Algier, Mitchell; daughter, Diane Chaney (Leroy), West Green; three sisters; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Moira “Scottie” McKinlay Bopp
Mrs. Moira “Scottie” McKinlay Bopp, 72, of Cobb entered into rest at her residence on Saturday, Aug. 14, 2010.
A native of Glascow Scotland, Mrs. Bopp was born Nov. 4, 1938, the daughter of the late Robert and Elizabeth McKinlay. She was a member of First Street Church of Christ in Cordele, a teacher’s aide for 15 years and a homemaker.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, Aug. 17, 2010, at 10 a.m. at Greg Hancock Funeral Chapel, with Brother Glenn Jarrett and Brother Lamar Way officiating.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Elizabeth McKinlay Milroy.
Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Richard B. Bopp of Cobb; a daughter, Mitzi K. Bopp Alston (Howard Palmer) of McDonough; a son, Bryan Richard and Traci Bopp of Gibson; five grandchildren, Richard Bryan Bopp, Andrew Lewis Bopp and? William James Bopp of Gibson, Crystal Smith of Cobb and Rebecca Alston of McDonough; one great-grandchild, Andrew Caden Smith of Cobb.

Mr. Joseph Matthew Fiorenza
Mr. Joseph Matthew Fiorenza, 86, of Augusta entered into rest on Monday, Aug. 9, 2010, at Jefferson Hospital, Louisville.
A private family ceremony will be held to commemorate his life.
Mr. Fiorenza was born to the late Amelia Palillo and Mateo Fiorenza in Brooklyn, N.Y., and served our country in the Navy during WWII. He was an electrical engineer in Florida, retired and moved to Augusta.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and grandson, Eric Domanski.
Survivors include his wife, Doris Wagner Fiorenza; two children, Cynthia F. Domanski (Joe) of Toms River, N.J., and Mark J. Fiorenza of Clarkesville; five grandchildren, Valeria Polansky (Richard) of Port Charlotte, Fla., Janice Fiorenza of Denver, Colo., Christopher Domanski (Jackie) of Bayville, N.J., Karissa Hanen (Cory) of Phoenix, Ariz., and Cameron Fiorenza of Clarkesville; sister, Caroline Fiorenza of Glen Cove, N.Y.; brother, Luigi Fiorenza of Ocean Springs, Miss.; two great-grandsons, Kyle and Ryan; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Mr. John David “Buddy” Flonnory of Louisville entered into rest on Wednesday, Aug. 11, 2010.
Mr. Flonnory was a native of Jefferson County, but lived in Mt. Vernon, where he worked for the City of Mt. Vernon Sanitation Department.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, Aug. 14, 2010, at 1 p.m. at New Mt. Ararat Holiness Church, Mount Vernon. Burial was in the Faith Memorial CME Church Cemetery, Bartow.

Mr. Royce Marvin Goodwin
Mr. Royce Marvin Goodwin, 75, of Dublin entered into rest on Friday, Aug. 13, 2010, at Serenity Place.
Mr. Goodwin was born on Jan. 22, 1935, in Jefferson County. He was the son of the late Robert and Willie Mae Thompson Goodwin. He was a United States Army Veteran where he served as a medic. He was a member of the NRA and was of the Baptist faith. He won second place in state at Georgia State University in tennis.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 15, 2010, at Poplar Springs North Baptist Church, with interment Dr. Joe Slocum, Rev. Cole Morris, and Rev. Robert Rogers officiating. Burial followed at Wadley City Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia Moore Goodwin of Dublin; a son, Kevin (Nikki) Goodwin of Dublin; a daughter, Kim (Rob) Cameron of Englewood, Fla.; a sister, Dianne Eastmead of Midville; and three grandchildren, Cole Cameron, Pierce Cameron and Luke Goodwin.
Pallbearers were Eddie Eastmead, Doug Barrow, Marvin Webb, Harold Widner, Scott Lee and Andy Goins.

Mr. Charles Ashley “C.A.” Hall
Mr. Charles Ashley “C.A.” Hall, 74, of Louisville entered into rest on Wednesday, Aug. 11, 2010, in the V.A. Medical Center in Augusta.
A native of Bartow, Mr. Hall was a son of the late Charlie W. and Mary Ella Knipher Hall. He served in the Army National Guard for more than 30 years and was a Boy Scout Scoutmaster who helped form Troop 271. For several years he was a mechanic with Henderson Chevrolet and retired after several years of service as a heavy equipment operator with Union Camp.
Graveside services, with military honors, were held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 14, 2010, in the Jefferson Memorial Gardens, with Rev. David Hibberts officiating.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Sibyl Wilson Hall; son, Carl A. Hall; and five brothers, Roy, Hollis, Benson, Donnie and Carl Hall.
Survivors include daughter, Cindy (Donnie) Cobb of Louisville; son, Charlie Hall of Hahira; sister, Alma H. Price of Tignall; five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were grandsons, Chris Hall, Craig Hall, Jordan Hall and Jason Cobb; and nephews, Van Hall, Vic Hall, Woody Bowles, Jason Tanner and Jonathan Tanner.
Honorary pallbearers were retired National Guard members, and employees of Union Camp.

Mr. Leroy Johnson
Mr. Leroy Johnson, 76, of Warrenton entered into rest on Tuesday, Aug. 10, 2010, at the Medical College of Georgia.
Mr. Johnson was born in Glascock County, but lived in Warrenton most of his life. He was the son of the late Charlie Johnson and the late Mary Catherine Whitehead Johnson. Mr. Johnson was retired as a finish painter from Jebco in Warrenton. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 12, 2010, at Beggs Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Bill South officiating. Interment followed in the Mill Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife of more than 50 years, Sally Cooper Johnson, Warrenton; sons, Leroy Johnson Jr.(Therese), Lincolnton, Billy Joe Johnson (Brenda) and John Edward Johnson (Lee Ann), all of Warrenton; sisters, Lizzie Mae King, Thomson, and Betty Jean Hyman, Cadley; eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; and adopted daughter, Lynn Kent.

Mr. John Judson “Juddy” Rabun Sr.
Mr. John Judson “Juddy” Rabun Sr., 85, of Wrens entered into rest on Thursday, Aug. 12, 2010.
Born in Warren County to the late Johnnie Mae McNair and Aaron David Rabun and after serving in the Navy during WWII, Mr. Rabun and his bride, Lena McClesky Rabun, moved to Wrens where he was an independent insurance agent for Gulf Life for 40 years. He served as mayor for 39 years, during which time he also served on many regional and state committees. He was a member of Wrens Baptist Church and was active in the Wrens High Boosters Club. He was also active in the Wrens Kiwanis Club for over 50 years and was a charter member of the Four Seasons Country Club.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 14, 2010, at the James Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Roy White, Dr. Stan Littleton and Rev. J. Scott McKinney officiating. Interment followed at Wrens Memorial Cemetery.
He was preceded in death by parents; and brothers, Thurman Rabun and Marvin Rabun.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Lena McClesky Rabun; son, Johnny Rabun (Cindy) of Wrens; three grandsons, Heath Rabun (Ashley) Jackson, Tenn., Chris Rabun of Wrens, and Bryan Rabun of Evans; four great-grandsons; and one great-granddaughter.
Pallbearers were Jimmy Fleming, Charles Milburn, Phillip Roberson, Jerry Weeks, Miller Weeks and William Wren.

Mr. Doyle Story Sr.
Mr. Doyle Story Sr., 73, entered into rest on Friday, Aug. 6, 2010, at his home surrounded by his family after a long battle with Alzheimer’s.
Mr. Story was born on Oct. 19, 1936, in Louisville. A native of Jefferson County, he moved to Oak Park in 1958. He retired from Truax Veneer Mill in Lyons, after 34 years of service. He attended the United Fellowship Baptist Church in Oak Park and the Oak Park Church of God.
Funeral services were held Sunday, Aug. 8, 2010, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home, with Rev. H.G. Ridgdill and Elder Tommy Roundtree officiating. Interment followed in the Oak Park City Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Evelyn; two daughters, Louise (Cruz) of Oak Park, and Sue Ann (Chris) of Kite; three sons, Doyle Jr. (Terresa) of Hilliard, Fla., Tony (Traci) of Oak Park, and Timmy (Amanda) of Swainsboro; five sisters, Virginia Utley of Gough, Barbara Cowart of Bartow, Linda Poole of Louisville, Patricia Hadden of Wadley, and Edna Bragg of Swainsboro; three brothers, H.T. Story Jr. of Millen, and Wayne Story and Ronnie Story, both of Louisville; 17 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
