Mr. Grimes was a native of Stuttgart, Germany, and son of Bruce Robert and Sharon Renee Qwin Grimes of Georgia.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, April 7, 2012, at 1 p.m. at Cornersville Funeral Home. Burial followed in the Short Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Eugena Jett Grimes; two daughters, Kaylee Alexis and Natalee Breanna Grimes; brother, Jonathan Grimes, all of Lewisburg; parents; two sisters, Stephanie Grimes of Georgia, and Wendi Zongker of Florida.

Mrs. Imogene Gunn
Mrs. Imogene Brassell Gunn, 83, of Thomson entered into rest on Thursday, April 5, 2012.
Mrs. Gunn was born in Glascock County, and lived in McDuffie County most of her life. She was the daughter of the late Samuel David Brassell and the late Willie Mae Kent Brassell. Mrs. Gunn was retired as ward clerk from the McDuffie County Hospital with over 25 years of service. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Monday, April 9, 2012, at Beggs Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Robert Adams officiating. Interment followed in Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Pilcher Gunn Jr.
Survivors include her sons, Carlton Lewis Gunn (Jeanette), Edwin James Gunn (Martha) and Timothy David Gunn (Eunita), all of Dearing; daughters, Donna Gunn Spann (Robert) and Sandra Gunn Linker (Steve), all of Thomson, Roxanne Gunn Bentley (Robert) of Evans; brother, William Kitchens (Virginia) of Waynesboro; sisters, Lois Adams of Thomson, Margaret Usry of Gibson, Patricia Donely of Florida; 14 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Maxwell was born in Grange. She was a Baptist and worked for Luxury Nail and Tanning.
Memorial services were held on Saturday, April 7, 2012, at 3 p.m. at Whispering Pines Baptist Church, with Rev. Wayne Todd officiating.
She was preceded in death by her husband, SFC Lawrence J. Maxwell.

Mrs. Beulah Janice Arrington Norton, 95, of Wrens entered into rest on Thursday, April 5, 2012, at Keysville Nursing Home.
Born to the late Nellie Pennington Arrington and the late John William Arrington, Mrs. Norton was a lifelong resident of Jefferson County and was a member of Wrens Nazarene Church.
Funeral services were held at James Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, April 7, 2012, at 11 a.m., with Dr. Stan Littleton officiating. Interment followed in Wrens Memorial Cemetery.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Norton; parents; and three siblings.

Mrs. Kathleen Reese
Mrs. Kathleen Reese, 94, of Gibson entered into rest on Wednesday, April 4, 2012, at Gibson Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Mrs. Reese, a native of Glascock County, was the oldest daughter of John and Nora Hawkins Allen. She worked in the garment industry most of her life. She also worked for the Glascock County lunchroom and was active for many years in the Glascock County Senior Citizens Center.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 6, 2012, at Mt. Zion Congregational Methodist Church, with Rev. Jeff Jones and Rev. Al Kurtz officiating with burial following in the church cemetery.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Alvin Reese; only child, John Edward Reese; sister, Mary Emma Williams; and brother, George D. Allen;

Mrs. Frances Reece Rogers
Mrs. Frances Reece Rogers, 89, of Louisville entered into rest on Thursday, April 5, 2012, at her residence.
Mrs. Rogers was born July 28, 1922, in Gilmer County to the late Fred A. and Carrie Penland Reece. She was raised in East Ellijay by her grandparents, W. K. and Malissa Reece. In 1942, she married
Robert L. Rogers, and they later moved to Cartersville and then to Royston. Mrs. Rogers was a homemaker. After the death of her husband, she worked part-time with Wal-Mart in Hartwell as a door greeter. While living in Royston, Mrs. Rogers was a member of Royston Baptist Church, where she served on the Baptismal Committee, was a member of the choir and WMU, was a Sunday school and training union teacher, and also a Bible Sword Drill instructor. She was also a member of the Eastern Star. In 2005 Mrs. Rogers moved to Louisville to live with her daughter, Donna Rogers.
Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. on Monday, April 9, 2012, at Royston Baptist Church, Royston, with Rev. Franklin Sasser officiating. Burial followed in the family plot at Rose Hill Cemetery, Royston.
She was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents; husband; and sisters, Margaret R. Bailey, Ruby R. Printup and Kathryn R. Harmon; and brothers, Fred A. Reece and Robert William “Bill” Reece.

Rev. Gilbert Hitchcock Rowell
Rev. Gilbert Hitchcock Rowell, 60, of Clover, S.C., entered into rest on Saturday, March 31, 2012, at Piedmont Medical Center, Rock Hill, S.C.
Rev. Rowell was born April 15, 1951, in Louisville to the Kathryn Hitchcock Rowell and the late Charles Walter Rowell III. He was a graduate of Louisville Academy, Erskine College and Erskine Seminary. He had served as pastor in Brighton, Tenn., Lancaster, S.C., and was the pastor of Providence Presbyterian Church (Associate Reformed Presbyterian Synod), Gastonia, N.C. Rev. Rowell also served on the board of World Witness and various committees of the Associate Reformed Presbyterian Synod.
Memorial services were held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, April 4, 2012, at Clover Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church, with Rev. Evan English and Rev. Dr. Barry Eller officiating.

Mr. Amos Turner of Augusta entered into rest on Sunday, April 1, 2012.
Mr. Turner was born in Jefferson County on Jan. 10, 1934 to the late Willie and Kate Pierce Turner. He was a member of Abundant Life Kingdom Ministries of Sumter, S.C. He received his education in the Jefferson County School System.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 7, 2012, at Jones Grove Baptist Church, Louisville, with Pastor Dion E. Price Sr. officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Lola Pearl Allen entered into rest on Monday, Sept. 17, 2012, at Smith Medical Nursing Care Center, Sandersville.
Mrs. Allen was a native of Washington County and the daughter of the late Burl Lewis and Henrietta White Lewis. Her family moved to Jefferson County where she lived, and worshipped at New Fleming Baptist Church and Ebenezer CME Church, Bartow, before moving to Florida, where she worked until her return to Georgia in the later part of 1980.
Funeral Services were held on Saturday, Sept. 22, 2012, at 11 a.m. at New Fleming Baptist Church and Cemetery, Bartow, with Rev. Cason officiating.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Mattie Pearl Lewis.

Mr. Johnny Brown
Mr. Johnny Brown, formerly of Johnson County, entered into rest on Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2012, at Glendale Nursing Home, Wadley.

Mr. Brown was a native of Johnson County and worked as a farm hand all of his life. He was the son of the late Johnny C. Brown, Sr. and Lillie Mae Grant Adams Brown.
Survivors include his brother, John Brown of Wadley; sister, Lanie Mae Prosser of Wadley; and friend, Lue Askew of Wrightsville.

Mr. Aubrey Eugene Crawford
Mr. Aubrey Eugene Crawford of Appling entered into rest on Sept. 17, 2012.
Mr. Crawford was born July 18, 1937, to the late Hardwick Lee Crawford Sr. and Klonnie Lewis Crawford Williams. He was a son-in-law to the late Frankie Morris Johnson and Oscar Dean Johnson of Boneville. He graduated from Harlem High School in 1954 and went to work for Dixie Homes, later Winn-Dixie, as a meat cutter. Later that same year he was hired by Corley’s Machine Shop in Grovetown, building small engines for the E-Z Go Golf Cart Corporation. In 1955, he was hired as a lineman by Southern Bell. He also worked as a cable splicer, line foreman and cable splicer foreman. He was promoted to assistant manager of the Assignment Office of Bell South on Walker Street, Augusta, in 1979. He retired in 1990 with more than 35 years of service. For the next nine years he worked for several cable locating services in the CSRA. Mr. Crawford played baseball for many years and he was a team member of the Appling Angels, while the team was still active. He graduated from the first class of the Georgia Military Institute in 1962 as a Second Lieutenant in the Fourth Platoon. Later he was promoted to a First Lieutenant and served for more than 15 years with the Georgia National Guard. Mr. Crawford was member of the American Hemercallis Society and also Augusta Daylily Club. He served as an exhibition and garden judge for more than 10 years. He began a hybridizing program and grew many daylilies. He was a former member of the Aiken-Augusta Orchid Society. He served on the Columbia County Tax Assessors Board for more than 17 years.
Funeral services were held on Sept. 20, 2012, at 2:30 p.m. at Kiokee Baptist Church, Appling, with Rev. Wes Gardner officiating. Interment followed in the Boneville Methodist Church Cemetery, Boneville.
He was preceded in death by his two sons, Robert Crawford and Mark Crawford; and twin brothers, Hardwick Crawford Jr. and Harvey Crawford.
Survivors include his wife of more than 55 years, Frankye Dean; son, Randall (Denese) Crawford of Hilton Head, S.C.; one daughter, Cheryl (Alan) Jackson of Hilton Head, S.C.; daughter-in-law, Donna Crawford of Harlem; grandchildren, Jason Crawford of Martinez, Cecia Crawford of Hilton Head, S.C., and Loren Crawford of Atlanta; sister, Faye (Warren) Sellers of Appling; brother-in-law, William (Fay) Johnson of Harlem; sisters-in-law, Sarah J. Staley of Camden, S.C., and Floy Crawford of Wrens; seven nephews and five nieces.
