Tommy Joe Boyd, age 62, of Bethlehem died November 5, 2006.
Born in Kentucky, he was the son of the late Green and Violet Boyd of Kentucky. He died after a courageous fight with lung cancer, he was a member of New Beginnings Baptist Church of Monroe, GA.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, November 8, 2006 at Smith Memory Chapel in Winder, GA.
The Rev. Roy Turk officiated and interment followed in Barrow Memorial Gardens.
He was married
to his wife Gaylee Boyd of Bethlehem for 26 years.
He is survived by: Daughters: Sarah Harper of Bethlehem, Emily and Daniel Meeks of Winder, and Kelli Boyd of Winder.
Grandchildren: David & Kayleigh Harper & Kaden Meeks, the light of his life.
Sisters: Barbara Collier of Estil, Kentucky and many nieces and nephews that will miss him very much.

Ree O’ Kelly Brooks, 93, of Monroe died October 22, 2006.
A native of Walton County, she was a daughter of he late Joseph A. O’Kelley and Mattie Churchill O’kelley. She was married
to the late Dave Glass, the late Hulon Davis and the late James Brooks. She retired from Oxford Mfg., was a former Pink Lady with the hospital auxiliary and a member of Faith Baptist Church.
Funeral services were held October 24, 2006 in the chapel of Arthur Bowick Funeral Home.
The Rev. Chris Conner officiated and interment was in Westlawn Memorial Cemetery. Pallbearers were Scott Sullivan, Leslie Croft, Ernest Lovern, Mark Malcom, Wayne Brown and Larry Childs.

Willie J. Fulcher, 78 of Madison, died on Nov. 7, 2006. He was born in Jackson County on May 2, 1928 to the late William Fulcher and the late Carrie Garrett Fulcher.
He was married
to his wife: Willie Mae Fulcher for 59 years. He preceded in death by his son: the late Jerry William Fulcher.
Surviving are: wife: Willie Mae Fulcher, Madison; children: Jr. Fulcher, Covington, Elaine and Mike Prowell, Rutledge, Sheryl and Vance Greeson, Rutledge, Jimmy and Delores Fulcher, Cumming, Mike and Sheila Fulcher, Monroe, Robin Fulcher, Cumming and Sissy McDowell, Madison; 15 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Funeral Services were held on Saturday, Nov. 11 at 2 p.m. at the Chapel of Meadows Funeral Home. Intermment followed at Social Circle City Cemetery.

Annette C. Long, 94, of Monroe died November 2, 2006.
A native and life long resident of Walton County, she was a daughter of the late Reubin and Amelia Stephens Cooper. The widow of Jeff Harold Long, she had worked for Carwood Mfg. Co. and retired from Kuppenheimer Corp. She was a member of New Hope United Methodist Church.
Funeral services were held November 5, 2006 in New Hope United Methodist Church. The Rev. Chris Laskey, The Rev. Lynn Head and The Elder Ronnie Loudermilk officiated and interment was in the church cemetery. Grandsons served as pallbearers.
She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law: Carolyn and Charles Autry of Oxford, Rebecca and Snooky Wright of Monroe, Dianne and Dewey Mathis and Kaye and Randall Allgood both of Jersey; sons and daughters-in-law: Jack and Ida Long of Scottsdale AZ and Jerry and Bessie Long of Greenville, SC.; brother and sister-in-law: Ray and Margaret Cooper of Monroe; 15 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; special friend and caregiver: Vicky Wright. Charles Melvin (Chuck) Hewell, Jr.,75, of Monroe died November 3, 2006.
A native and life long resident of Walton County, he was a son of the late C. M. Hewell, Sr. and Lucy Cosby Hewell. He was owner of C. M. Hewell Plumbing for 28 years prior to his retirement. He was a member of the First united Methodist Church, a member of Generous Warren Lodge # 20 F. & A.M. and served in the U. S. National Guard.
Funeral services were held November 6, 2006 in the First United Methodist Church. The Rev. Margaret Adams officiated. Interment was in Rest Haven Cemetery. Pallbearers were Brian Mills, Steven Roberts, Hewell Prince, Jr., Robert Bass, Brian Kozloski and Preston Delashmit.

John Hubert “Hugh” Crim, 68 of Monroe died, Nov. 3, 2006. He was born in Bessemer, AL to the late Samuel Dewitt and the late Bertie Viola Horton Crim.
He was of Christian faith and retired as Vice President of A.L. Williams Information Network Systems, was a life member of NRA and graduated from Auburn University with a BA in Accounting in 1960.

Lonnie Rogers Moon, Sr.
Lonnie Rogers, Moon, Sr., age 54 passed away on Nov. 1, 2006. He was born on Sept. 17, 1952 in Walton County to the late R.V. Moon and the late Pearline Greene Moon.
“Roger” was a Plumber most of his life, most recently spent alot of time with his brother “Eddie” and working for his electrical business. Roger never met a stranger, he was an outgoing person he loved his children and grandchildren very much and will be missed by all.

Harold Russell Harless
Harold Russell Harless, 82 of Loganville passed away on Tuesday, Dec.19, 2006. Born and raised in Narrows, VA, he served in the Pacific during World War II. He was a skilled pipe fitter/welder by trade and worked on many projects in the Washington D.C. area. He resided for many years in Howard County, MD and retired to Loganville in 1986. He loved and took great pleasure in his pets, was an avid reader and loved to “tinker” in his shop. His final journey (cancer) was a life-lesson in courage, dignity and love. He will be greatly missed. Left to cherish his memory are his wife: Lois; son: Michael (Tricia); grandsons: Michael Jr. and Jason; great grandchild: Ashley; sister: Eloise Ratcliff; a host of nieces, nephews and their families, wonderful friends, neighbors, and “Best Pal” Bill.

Leland “Lee” Allen Russ, of Monroe, died on Dec. 19, 2006. He was born in Du Page County, IL on Jan. 17, 1938 to the late Leo Sylvester Russ and the late Elizabeth Koch Russ. Norman Robert Breheim, a resident of Summers Landing Assisted Living of Monroe, passed away suddenly Dec. 12, 2006. Mr. Breheim was preceded in death by his wife Viola G. Breheim. He served in the US Army as 2nd Lt. Infantry during WWII.
