Mrs. Ellen Langford, 48, of Millard Farmer Road in Newnan died April 29, 1997 at Columbia Peachtree Regional Hospital.
Born Dec. 14, 1948 in LaGrange, Mrs. Langford was the daughter of the late James Anderson and Irene Pressley Anderson. She was a member of Riverview Baptist Church in Centralhachee and worked at the Coweta County Tag Office and the LaGrange Clerk of Courts Office.
Funeral services were held May 1 at Hillcrest Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Terry Calhoun officiating, assisted by the Rev. Ted Clay. Interment followed at Calvary Baptist Church cemetery with David Turner, Tommy Thompson, Bob Yeager, Mike West, Tony Grant and Joe Ables serving as pallbearers.
Survivors include her husband, Mike Langford of Newnan; sons Ken Langford and Jeff Langford, both of Newnan; sister, Dot Bain of Pittsburgh, Penn.; and brother, James Anderson of Centralhachee.

MR. DORSIE WRIGHT
Mr. Dorsie Wright, 74, of Newnan died April 22, 1997.
Born April 29, 1922 in Alabama, Mr. Wright was the son of the late William Albert Wright and Onie (Dingler) Wright and the husband of the late Joyce (Smallwood) Wright. He was a retired salesman with Life Insurance Company of Georgia and a U.S. Army veteran.
Mr. Wright was a member of First Baptist Church in Newnan and a lifetime member and officer of the Newnan Elks Club.
Funeral services were held April 24 at McKoon Funeral Home with Dr. Gene Tyre officiating. Interment followed at Oak Hill cemetery with members of the Newnan Elks Club serving as pallbearers.
Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Spud (Penny) Williams of Newnan; grandson, Jay Williams of Newnan; brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. George (Imogene) Wright of Douglasville; sister-in-law, Selma Turner of Newnan; and sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Bo (Ruby) Kee of Newnan.

MRS. NORA McCARTY
Mrs. Nora McCarty, 84, of Polk Road in Moreland died April 20, 1997 at Columbia Peachtree Regional Hospital.
Born June 8, 1912 in Gilmer County, Mrs. McCarty was retired from Uniroyal Inc. and was a member of Moreland Baptist Church.
Funeral services were held April 22 at Moreland Baptist Church with the Rev. Jerry Eley officiating, assisted by the Rev. Powers Witcher. Interment followed at Southview cemetery with Wayne Moore, Donald McCarty, Randy Boswell, J.C. Thompson, Tony Boswell and Kenneth Thompson serving as pallbearers.
Survivors include her son, Willis McCarty of Moreland; grandchildren, Alan McCarty of Franklin, Kevin McCarty of Bethlehem; great-grandchildren, Diane McCarty of Sargent, Nicole McCarty of Franklin; and sister, Bessie Livingston of Moreland.

Mrs. Louise Belcher Merrill, 54, of Luthersville died April 23, 1997 at her home.
Born Sept. 7, 1942 in Coweta County, Mrs. Merrill was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Ralph William Belcher.
Graveside services were held April 25 at Luthersville cemetery with the Rev. Robert Longshore officiating.

Mr. Casmir Anthony Michalski, 64, of Newnan died April 20, 1997 at Columbia Peachtree Regional Hospital.
Born Nov. 28, 1932 in Sauilac, Mich., he was the son of the late Anthony and Katherine (Chase) Michalski.
Graveside services were held April 23 at Oak Hill cemetery with the Rev. Vince Lamb officiating.

Mrs. Susie Pauline Staley, 84, of Hogansville died April 22, 1997 at Florence Hand Home in LaGrange.
Born May 25, 1912 in Centralhatchee, Mrs. Staley was the daughter of the late Robert and Etta Adams McWhorter. She was retired from Uniroyal Inc. after 35 years of service and was a member of Highland Baptist Church.
Mrs. Staley was preceded in death by a daughter, Dorothy Marion Osborn, and a son, Ronald Wilson Osborn.
Funeral services were held April 24 at Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home with the Rev. Stanley Rogers and Dr. Jimmy Brown officiating. Interment followed at Myrtle Hill cemetery in Hogansville with Danny Isom, Billy Morgan, Hilton Odom, Tab Chaffin, Donnie Williamson, Larry Williamson, Jason Rogers and Lee Rogers serving as pallbearers.

Mr. Arthur H. "Bubber" Allen, 59, of Grantville died April 18, 1997 at Newnan Hospital.
Born Sept. 1, 1937 in Hogansville, Mr. Allen was the son of the late Vinson and Ruth Vann Allen. He was a deacon and charter member of Faith Baptist Church. He retired from the U.S. Internal Revenue Service in 1993 after 31 years of service.
Funeral services were held April 20 at Faith Baptist Church in Moreland with the Rev. Charlie Pharis and the Rev. Mike Wright officiating. Interment followed at Myrtle Hill cemetery in Hogansville with Tom Andrews, Ed Bledsoe, Dub Walters, Ken Baumgarten, John Ray and L.P. Overstreet serving as pallbearers.

Mr. Thomas Arrington, 85, of Franklin died April 17, 1997 at Hospice LaGrange.
Born Jan. 7, 1912 in Harris County, Mr. Arrington was the son of the late Otis and Frances Wilson Arrington. He was a retired sawmill worker.
Funeral services were held April 19 at Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home with the Rev. Fred White and the Rev. Richard Clay officiating. Interment followed at the Franklin cemetery with Scott Parrott, Tom Winn, Ricky Gore, Donald Hammett, James Scott and Thomas Rogers serving as pallbearers.

Mrs. Ruby Pearl Davis, 90, of Harvey, La., died April 19, 1997 in Gretna, La.
Born April 1, 1907 in Laurens County, Mrs. Davis was the daughter of the late Tom J. Hooks and Hattie (May) Hooks and the widow of Frank Paul Davis. She was a member of Elim Baptist Church and was a homemaker.
Graveside services were held April 21 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Newnan with Dr. Bobby Helton officiating.
Survivors include her daughter, Ann Davis Caldwell of Gretna; son, Frank P. Davis Jr. of Clarksville, Va.; grandchildren, Susan C. Smith, Jack D. Caldwell, Kelly D. Colgate, Kerry D. Mossler; and eight great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Lorene Foster, 67, of Standing Rock, Ala. died April 18, 1997 at West Georgia Medical Center in LaGrange.
Born Feb. 22, 1930 in DeKalb County, Ala., Mrs. Foster was the daughter of the late William Lewis Gore. She was a member of Rock Mills Church of the Nazarene and Beta Sigma Pi. She was a homemaker.
Funeral services were held April 19 at Quattlebaum Funeral Home with the Rev. Franklin Foster Sr. and the Rev. Mike Whaley officiating. Interment followed at Standing Rock Methodist Church Cemetery.
