MRS. FANNIE PEARL GADDY
Mrs. Fannie Pearl Gaddy, 67, of Newnan died May 5, 1997 at Newnan Hospital.
Born June 15, 1929 in Coweta County, Mrs. Gaddy was the daughter of the late Abner G. and Mattie (Payton) Key and the widow of Walter Lee Gaddy. She was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church and a retired textile worker from Bibb Company.
Funeral services were held May 6 at McKoon Funeral Home with the Rev. Travis Eidson officiating. Interment followed at Bethlehem Baptist Church cemetery with Jimmy Wilson, Pete Phillips, James Kent, Bill Duncan, Harold Kee and Michael Neal servicing as pallbearers.
Survivors include her sons, Jimmy Lee Gaddy, Gerald Gaddy, Abner Gaddy, all of Newnan; daughters, Rosie Mae Phillips, Charlotte Duncan, both of Newnan, Kim Savage of LaGrange; sister, Florence Haynes of Newnan; brothers, Albert Key of Hogansville, Clifford Key of Atlanta; and 13 grandchildren.

Mrs. Lois F. Gaddy, 66, of Hogansville died May 6 at Franklin Healthcare Center.
A Native of Meriwether County, Mrs. Gaddy was a member of Antioch Baptist Church.
Funeral services were held May 8 at Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home with the Rev. R.C. Prescott officiating. Interment followed at Myrtle Hill cemetery in Hogansville.

MR. ALVIN HARRIS MAPP
Mr. Alvin Harris Mapp, 62, of Newnan died May 3, 1997 at his home.
Born May 21, 1934 in Atlanta, Mr. Mapp was the son of the late Alvin A. and Annie Ruth (Lewis) Mapp. He was a member of the Baptist faith and a sergeant first class in the U.S. Army.
Funeral services were held May 5 at McKoon Funeral Home with the Rev. Lee Ayers officiating.
Survivors include his daughters, Michelle L. Mapp, Eva Burgess both of Newnan; son, Alvin Scott Mapp of Newnan; sister, Francis Callaway of Thomaston; brothers, Charles Mapp, William Howard Mapp, both of Newnan; granddaughters, Tonia Burgess and Amber Mapp.

MRS. CARRIE MAE PETERSON
Mrs. Carrie Mae Peterson, 71, of Union City died May 6, 1997 at Dogwood Health Care in Fairburn.
Born Aug. 23, 1925 in Coweta County, Mrs. Peterson was the daughter of the late Ervin W. Weir and Carrie Lee Estep. She was a housewife.
Funeral services were held May 9 at Hillcrest Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Travis Eidson officiating. Interment followed at Oak Hill cemetery in Newnan.
Survivors include her husband, Willie T. Peterson of Union City; children, William T. Peterson Jr. of North Carolina, Charles Peterson of Atlanta, Shirley Peterson of New Jersey, Johnny Peterson, Tommy Joe Peterson, both of East Point, Robert Peterson of Louisiana; sisters, Mary Hawk of Newnan, Barbara Motes of Texas; brothers, Robert Weir, Ervin Weir Jr., both of Newnan; 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

MR. ROBERT LEWIS QUICK
Mr. Robert Lewis Quick, 60, of Carrollton died May 6, 1997 at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Decatur.
Born Aug. 2, 1936 in Coweta County, Mr. Quick was the son of the late Ernest and Lois Pauline Beckon Quick. He was a retired vice president and parts manager with Scott Hydraulic Company and a retired master sergeant with the U.S. Air Force, having served in Vietnam.
Mr. Quick was a member of West Georgia Church of Christ.
A memorial service was held May 8 at West Georgia Church of Christ with minister Patrick Gray and elder Glen Gray officiating. Funeral services will be held May 10 (today) at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Shreveport, La. Interment will follow at Forest Park Memorial cemetery in Shreveport.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Simons Quick of Carrollton; daughter, Frances Renae Quick of San Antonio, Texas; son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Wanda Quick of Shreveport; sisters and brothers-in-law, Lila Waddell, Mary and B.L. Mrs. Willie Bell Reeves, 89, of Hill Street in Newnan passed away May 5, 1997 at Columbia Peachtree Regional Hospital.

MRS. ROSE CROSSETT THOMAS
Mrs. Rose Crossett Thomas, 75, of Newnan died May 2, 1997.
Born May 6, 1921 in Little Rock, Ark., she was the widow of Capt. Gordon W. Thomas.
A 1939 graduate of Little Rock High School, Mrs. Thomas studied psychology and sociology and earned degrees from the University of Arkansas, Rockford College and Stanford University.
In 1942 she served as a campaign staffer for U.S. Sen. John McClellan and later worked in a newly created position of manager of the mail order department for Sears, Roebuck and Co. in Little Rock.
Mrs. Thomas served as an administrator for the University of Michigan and an admissions officer at Lake Forest and Rockford Colleges. She worked with the War Assets Administration in Willow Run Mich. and Great Lakes Naval Base in Illinois.
Mrs. Thomas worked as an administrator for the U.S. Army Chaplains Corp. at Ft. Sheridan, Ill.; a counselor for Army Community Service in Ft. Sam Houston, Texas; a housing referral assistant at Little Rock Air Force Base; and a alcohol and drug abuse program member at Ft. McPherson in Georgia.
Mrs. Thomas was a member of the Yasbel Odom Sunday School Class of Newnan Presbyterian Church; Newnan Chapter #599 of the United Daughters of the Confederacy; Abraham Baldwin Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution; Colonial Dames; Arkansas Pioneers - from her ancestor Judge David W. Lowe; the Army Officers Wives Club; the Heritage School Grandparents Club; the Republican Women's Club; and a founder of the Newnan Chapter AAUW.
Graveside services were held May 4 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Newnan with Dr. Harry Barrow officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Andris Irrizari, Patrick Gould, Michael Scott, Winston Skinner, Len Crowder and Pat Hamilton.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Rose Elizabeth and Jack Camp of Newnan; grandchildren, Thomas Henry "Harry" and Sophie Rose; aunt, Dorothy D. Gorman; brother, Richard Crossett of Louisville, Kent.; sister-in-law, Jean Thomas Leland of Chicago, Ill.; and cousin, James Dowden of Little Rock.

Mrs. Pauline Wessinger, 87, of Hogansville died May 5, 1997 at West Georgia Medical Center in LaGrange.
Born in Carroll County, Mrs. Wessinger was a member of Hogansville Church of God. She was retired from Uniroyal Inc.
Funeral services were held May 7 at Hogansville Church of God with interment following at Tyus Baptist Church cemetery in Carroll County.

MRS. TOMMIE LOU WRIGHT
Funeral services for Mrs. Tommie Lou Wright were May 1 at Eastview cemetery in Newnan with the Rev. Bradell Martin officiating.
Born in Newnan, Mrs. Wright was educated in Newnan public schools and was a graduate of Clark College in Atlanta. While living in Newnan, she was a member of Newnan Chapel United Methodist Church.
A retired school teacher with the Harrisburg, Pennsylvania School District, Mrs. Wright was a member of Capital Presbyterian Church, where she served on the deacon board and the Presbyterian Womens Association and was Bible school teacher and choir member.
She was a member of the Harrisburg Alumni chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority.
Survivors include Mr. and Mrs. Daniel C. Moten Sr. and Mrs. Arthur (Louise North) Crain.

MISS RUTH CULBERSON
Miss Ruth Culberson, 78, of Hogansville died May 2, 1997 at Starcrest Convalescent Center in Newnan.
Born March 13, 1919 in Hogansville, Miss Culberson was the daughter of the late J.R. and Georgia Spivey Culberson.
She was a graduate of the Church of God Bible College in Sevierville, Tenn. and was a licensed exhorter in the Church of God and a charter member of the Hogansville Church of God. Miss Culberson was retired from Uniroyal Inc. after 37 years of service.
Funeral services were held May 4 at Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home with Dorothy Herndon and the Rev. James Lemley officiating. Interment followed at Myrtle Hill cemetery in Hogansville with Jack Landers, Mark Phillips, Leslie Phillips, Chuck Prather, Doug Wessinger and Calvin Breed serving as pallbearers.
Survivors include a sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Nathan (Ruby) Breed of Hogansville; brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Harlan (Alma) Culberson of Hogansville; nieces and nephews.
