MRS. NATALIE SIRMANS WILLIAMS
Mrs. Natalie Sirmans Williams, 95, of Valdosta died Dec. 25, 1996 at Newnan Hospital.
Born in Nashville, Ga., Mrs. Williams was the daughter of the late Josiah Williams Sirmans and Missouri Kizzie Roberts Sirmans. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Valdosta.
A 1919 graduate of Georgia Normal School (now Valdosta State University), Mrs. Williams was a member of Valdosta State's Foundation Board and one of the founders of the Lowndes County Historical Society.
Graveside services were held Dec. 28 at Sunset Hill cemetery in Valdosta with the Rev. Delos Sharpton and the Rev. Mac Weaver officiating.
Survivors include her daughters, Majorie Moran of Valdosta, Mary Frances McClelland of Olney, Texas, Aline "Babe" Jenkins of Newnan; sister, Aline Sirmans Blizzard of Ormond Beach, Fla.; grandchildren, Natalie J. Overman of Fayetteville, Mark McClelland of Olney; and four great-grandchildren.

MRS. LILLIAN REBECCA ADAIR
Mrs. Lillian Rebecca Adair, 93, of Jonesboro died Jan. 13, 1997 at Southern Regional Hospital.
Born July 30, 1903 in Alabama, Mrs. Adair was the daughter of the late Albert and Sara (Stephens) Owen and the widow of James Herbert Adair. She was a homemaker and a member of First United Methodist Church of Newnan.
Funeral services were held Jan. 15 (today) at McKoon Funeral Home with the Rev. Floyd Carmack officiating, assisted by the Rev. Gary Parrish. Interment followed at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with her grandsons serving as pallbearers.
Survivors included her sons, Mr. and Mrs. Jack (Blanche) Adair of Riverdale, Mr. and Mrs. Ed (Virginia) Adair of Jonesboro; sister Sara Dowdle of Atlanta; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.

MR. FRANK W. ALDRIDGE
Mr. Frank W. Aldridge, 84, of Cedartown and Carrollton died Jan., 9, 1997.
Born in Carrollton, Mr. Aldridge was the son of the late William Jefferson Aldridge and Dura Nix Aldridge. He was an electrical engineer with Georgia Power Company for 42 years and a veteran of World War II.
Mr. Aldridge was a member of First United Methodist Church in Cedartown and the Exchange Club.
A memorial service was held Jan. 11 at Almon Funeral Home in Carrollton with the Rev. Jim Dyer officiating. Interment followed at Stripling Chapel Cemetery.

Mr. Willie Sid Bussie, 56, of Newnan passed away Jan. 6, 1997 at Peachtree Regional Hospital.
Born Feb. 2, 1940 in Coweta County, Mr. Bussie was a member of Summer Hill Baptist Church in Moreland. Funeral services were held Jan. 11, 1997 at Summer Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. J.T. Coleman officiating, assisted by the Rev. Willie J. McDowell and the Rev. J. Cainion. Interment followed in the church cemetery with his nephews serving as pallbearers.

Born Feb. 4, 1918 in Franklin, Mr. Griffin was the son of the late Wilbur and Sallie Kate Griffin. He was a member of Bethel Heard Baptist Church.

MR. EUGENE HAMMETT
Mr. Eugene Hammett, 70, of Haltom City, Texas died Jan. 12, 1997 at Columbia North Hills Medical Center in North Richland Hills, Texas.
Born Feb. 17, 1926 in Heard County; Mr. Hammett was the son of the late J.B. and Kate Kee Hammett. He served 25 years in the U.S. Navy, retiring as a petty officer and was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War.
Mr. Hammett was a retired supervisor for Bell Helicopter and was a member of the First Reserve and St. Paul Presbyterian Church in North Richland Hills.
Funeral services were held Jan. 15 (today) at Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville with Dr. Jimmy Brown officiating. Interment followed at Corinth cemetery with full military honors.

MR. NICHOLSON IRA MORGAN
Mr. Nicholson Ira Morgan, 75, 0f Du Pont, Ga. died Jan. 8, 1997 at his home.
Born Aug. 18, 1921 in Laurel, Miss., Mr. Morgan was the son of the late Ira Morgan Jr. and Verna (Nicholson) Morgan. He was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II and was retired from Jack Daniel's Distillery in Lynchburg, Tenn.
Mr. Morgan was a member of the Baptist faith. he was a graduate of George S. Gardiner High School in Laurel, Miss. He was a member of the track team in high school and at Louisiana State University.
Mr. Morgan entered preflight school in Randolph Field, Texas in 1943 and was named a cadet captain. He graduated from Aloe Army Airfield in Victoria, Texas and served as a flight instructor during World War II with the rank of second lieutenant.
Funeral services were held Jan. 11 at McKoon Funeral Home. Interment followed at Oak Hill cemetery with his grandsons serving as pallbearers.

MR. LAWRENCE ALDRIDGE NIX
Mr. Lawrence Aldridge Nix, 92, of Carrollton died Jan 6, 1997 at his home.
Born Aug. 1, 1904 in Carroll County, Mr. Nix was the son of the late Walter Loyd Nix and Judson Cedalia Aldridge Nix. He was preceded in death by wives Millicent Watson Nix and Hazel White Nix; a daughter, Mary Hazel Hall; a sister and eight brothers.
Mr. Nix was a retired educator, having worked for 32 years in the Carroll and Haralson county school districts. He also was an ordained minister, having served churches in Georgia, Ohio and Indiana. He was the oldest member of First Christian Church in Carrollton.
Having never earned his high school diploma, Mr. Nix earned a bachelor's degree in education from Bowdon College, bachelor's and master's degrees of divinity from Cincinnati Bible College and a master's degree in education from the University of Georgia.
Funeral services were held Jan. 9 at Carrollton First Christian Church with the Rev. Fred Skinner officiating. Interment followed at Liberty Christian Church cemetery with James Duffey, Mike Broome, Mickey Newsome, Richard Ingle, Herb Strobine and Donald Denney serving as pallbearers.

Mrs. Gertrude Bogle Pair, 87, of Thomas Powers Road in Newnan died Jan. 6, 1997 in Franklin.
Born July 15, 1909 in Atlanta, Mrs. Pair was the daughter of the late Calvin and Fannie (Ponders) Childers and the widow of Joseph H. Pair. She was a member of Elim Baptist Church.
Graveside services were held Jan. 7 at Westview cemetery in Atlanta with Dr. Bobby Helton officiating.
Survivors include her daughter, Hazel Lewis of Newnan; son, Ray E. Bogle of Conyers; sisters, Ethel Armstrong, Elizabeth Benton, both of Lithonia; five grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

MR. ROY L. PROSSER
Mr. Roy L. Prosser, 91, of Jackson, Ga. died Jan. 9, 1997 at Westbury medical Care home.
Born April 5, 1905 in Newton County, Mr. Prosser was the son of the late Letsworth and Dena Jones Prosser. He worked as a barber for more than 60 years, owning Jackson Barber Shop from 1942 until his retirement.
Mr. Jackson was a member of First Baptist Church of Jackson, where he served as Sunday School secretary and president of the Briggs Sunday School Class. He was a member of First Baptist Brotherhood and was honored with the group's Christian Man of the Year award.
Mr. Prosser was a member and past master of St. John's Lodge #45 of Free and Accepted Masons and had been presented an apron for 70 years of service. He was a past president of the Jackson Kiwanis Club.
Graveside services were held Jan. 11 at Jackson City cemetery with the Rev. Danny Hughes and Dr. Don Folsom officiating.
Survivors include his wife, Thelma Payton Prosser of Jackson; son and daughter-in-law, Gene and Jane Prosser of Greenville, S.C.; daughter, Annette Prosser of Atlanta; brother Rabun Prosser of Mansfield and several nephews.

Mrs. Marjorie Sprayberry, 90, of Newnan died Jan. 10, 1997 at Newnan Hospital.
Born Dec. 31, 1906 in Georgia, Mrs. Sprayberry was the daughter of the late Sumner E. Smith and Ada (Brooks) Smith and the widow of Brice Brantley Sprayberry to whom she was married
for 73 years.
Mrs. Sprayberry was a homemaker and a member of First United Methodist Church of Newnan.
Funeral services were held Jan. 12 at McKoon Funeral Home with the Rev. Gary Parrish officiating, assisted by the Rev. John Freeland. Interment followed at Oak Hill cemetery with Tim Bennett, Ryan Bennett, Elliott Kelley Jr., Clifford Cason, Donald Cason and Duke Ferrell serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were Max Sprayberry, Jimmy Sprayberry, Donald Sprayberry, Bill Pinson and Bordene Sprayberry.
