Mr. George Stalling, 68, of Hatcher Street in Newnan passed away Jan. 22, 1997 at Newnan Hospital.
Funeral services were held Jan. 25 at Roscoe Jenkins Funeral Home with the Rev. Johnny Coleman officiating. Interment followed at Eastview cemetery with family friends serving as pallbearers.
Survivors include his wife, Ruby L. Stalling; children, George (Donna Lynn) Stalling, Treasa Stalling, Tamlyn Stalling, Valerie Stalling; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchildren, all of Newnan; aunts; nieces; nephews and other relatives.

MR. HAROLD WARD
Mr. Harold Ward, 46, of Wallace Gray Road in Newnan passed away Jan. 22, 1997 at Columbia Peachtree Regional Hospital in Newnan.
Born Feb. 22, 1997, Mr. Ward was the son of the late Truly Ward. He was a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Moreland.
Funeral services were held Jan. 26 at Sellers-Smith Funeral Home with the Rev. Billy J. Glanton officiating. Interment followed at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church cemetery in Moreland with Charles Baldwin, Donald Sewell, Ricky Sewell, Darroll Reeves, Tony Portress, Nathan Portress and Darroll Sewell serving as pallbearers.

Mrs. Lera K. Allen, 62, of Brooks died Jan. 22, 1997 at her home.
Born Aug. 8, 1934 in Tupelo, Miss., Mrs. Allen was the daughter of the late Jody and Ruby Beam King. She was a member of New Salem Baptist Church and had lived in Brooks for 30 years.
Funeral services were held Jan. 24 at Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home with the Dr. Jimmy Brown officiating. Interment followed at Myrtle Hill cemetery in Hogansville.
Survivors include her husband, Elbert E. "Gene" Allen of Brooks; daughters, Cathy Phillips of Senoia, Lisa Allen of Ellenwood; sons, George Allen of Griffin, Daniel Harris of Woodstock; mother-in-law, Mrs. George E. Allen of Hogansville and nine grandchildren.

MRS. BEVERLY JUNE McBRIDE BLACKWELL
Mrs. Beverly June McBride Blackwell, 68, of Sharpsburg died Jan. 13, 1997 following a long illness.
Born Feb. 2, 1928 in Portville, N.Y., Mrs. Blackwell was daughter of Leslie Arthur William McBride and Edith Aileen Davidson McBride. She graduated from Niagara Falls High School in New York and attended Alfred University and Niagara University.
Mrs. Blackwell was an elementary school teacher in New York and was a volunteer for Nebraska Methodist Hospital in Omaha, Neb.
Survivors include her husband, Alexander Lindsie Blackwell; son David Roy Blackwell of Raleigh, N.C.
A reception was held for Mrs. Blackwell on Jan. 19 at the family's home. Memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimer Association.

MRS. BESSIE PEARL CASS
Mrs. Bessie Pearl Cass, 89, of Fourth Street in Newnan died Jan. 21, 1997 at Peachtree Regional Hospital in Newnan.
Born June 16, 1907 in Plane, Miss., Mrs. Cass was the daughter of Lee Boyd Dennis and Emily Viola (Parker) Dennis. She was a homemaker and a member of Andrews Chapel United Methodist Church.
Funeral services were held Jan. 23 at McKoon Funeral Home with the Rev. Sean Robinson officiating, assisted by Dr. Gene Tyre. Interment followed at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Newnan with her grandsons serving as pallbearers.
Survivors include her husband, John Thomas Cass of Newnan; daughter, Virginia Estes of Newnan; son, Paul B. Cass of Ranger, Ga.; 10 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

MR. OLIVER "FUDD" GRIFFIN
Mr. Oliver "Fudd" Griffin, 78, of Domineck Street in Newnan passed away Jan. 9, 1997 at Peachtree Regional Hospital.
Born Feb. 4, 1918 in Franklin, Mr. Griffin was the son of the late Wilbur and Sallie Kate Griffin. He was a member of Bethel Heard Baptist Church.
Funeral services were held Jan. 13 at Bethel Heard Baptist Church with the Rev. Clinton Melson officiating, assisted by the Rev. J.W. Russell Sr., the Rev. Jimmy L. Mrs. Ruby Holloway, 77, of Senoia died Jan. 22, 1997 in Macon.
Born May 9, 1919 in Coweta County, Mrs. Holloway was a homemaker and a member of Sharpsburg Baptist Church.
Graveside services were held Jan. 23 at Whitlock cemetery in Peachtree City with the Rev. Walter Frank Baker and the Rev. Dan Drawdy officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Ronald Stevenson, Dannie McClain, James McClain, David McClain, Lee Holloway and Gerald Collins.

Mr. Looney Glover Nichols, 85, of Franklin died Jan. 21, 1997 at Tanner Medical Center in Carrollton.
Born Feb. 15, 1911 in Randolph County, Ala., Mr. Nichols was the son of the late Samuel Gibbs and Lula Arrington Nichols. He was a retired building contractor and farmer and was the oldest member of Ephesus Baptist Church.
Funeral services were held Jan. 23 at Ephesus Baptist Church with the Rev. Fred Cook, the Rev. Monroe Wiggins and Marvin Yarbrough officiating. Interment followed at the church cemetery with Paul Nichols, Don Nichols, David Nichols, Randy Yarbrough, Tommy Yarbrough and Danny Nichols serving as pallbearers.
Honorary pallbearers were Don Harris and Bobby Parmer.

Born March 21, 1947 in Meriwether County, Mrs. Taylor was a member of New Jerusalem Baptist Church in Atlanta.

Mr. Garnett Daniel, 93, of Hogansville died Jan. 18, 1997 at West Georgia Medical Center in LaGrange.
Born Nov. 11, 1903 in Troup County, Mr. Daniel was the son of the late Jim and Ida Denney Daniel. He was a member of Antioch Baptist Church and was retired from Uniroyal Inc.
Funeral services were held Jan. 20 at Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home with the Rev. Marty Few and the Rev. R.C. Prescott officiating. Interment followed at Primitive Baptist Church cemetery in Hogansville with Ronnie Daniel, Jerry Daniel, Vance Beal, Jeffery Daniel, David Daniel and Darrell Daniel serving as pallbearers.
