Carrie B. Sorrells, 95 of Monroe died Nov. 5, 2004.
A native of Walton County, she was the daughter of the late Jesse R. and Mary Anna Cochran Sorrells. She was a homemaker and was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Funeral services were held Nov. 6, 2004 in the chapel of Arthur Bowick Funeral Home. Rev. Jimmy Greer officiated and interment was in Rest Haven Cemetery.
Johnny W. McKissick
Johnny W. McKissick, 75, of Monroe died Nov. 4 2004.
A Native of Walton County, he was the son of the late James Guy McKissick and Susie Johnson McKissick. After retiring from E.I. Dupont in Athens, he started McKissick Auto Sales and was a member of Walker Baptist Church.
Funeral Services were held Nov. 6, 2004 in Walker Baptist Church. Rev. Kevin Cone and Rev. Danny Sorrells officiated and interment was in Westlawn Memorial Cemetery. Pallbearers were Gene McKissick, Sean Kennedy, Jason McKissick, Archie Hector, David Tolbert and Jon Davenport.
Metz Joseph Allen, Sr.
Metz Joseph Allen Sr., age 59 of Monroe, died on November 26, 2004.
He was born in Fulton County on April 5, 1945 to the late Norma Ruth Allen. He was a retired trucker, and his call handle was Panama Red. His nickname was M.J. Buddy.
Surviving are: Wife: Carolyn Virginia Allen of Monroe; Daughters and Son in Law: Norma Ruth Allen of Monroe, and Samantha Lynn and Roman Galvan of Monroe; Son and Daughter in Law: Metz Joseph Jr. and Melissa Allen of Douglasville; Sister: Janet Greer of Buford; Brother: Herbert Allen of Stone Mountain; Grandchildren: Rebecca Allen, Jessica Allen, Christopher Rodriguez, Maria Pilar Galvan, Maranna Rodriguez, Robin Allen, Jacob Galvan, Nathan Galvan, and Rachael Allen.

Dennis “Blake” Adams, Jr., age 20, of Monroe, died Wednesday, November 24, 2004.
Funeral services were held Sunday, November 28, 2004, at Ward’s Rockdale Chapel at 2:00 p.m. Interment followed at Walnut Grove cemetery in Walnut Grove.
A native of Rockdale County, GA, Blake worked as a linesman at Pike Electric. He was loved and will be truly missed by his mother & stepfather, Cheryl & James Wheeler of Monroe; sister, Madison Wheeler of Monroe; father Dennis Blake Adams, Sr. of Covington, fiance’, Lauren Sharp of Loganville; grandparents, aunts & uncles, cousins and numerous friends.
Horis A. Ward Funeral Home were in charge of arrangements.

Funeral Services were held Wednesday, November 24, 2004 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Wheeler Funeral Home, Covington, GA.
Pastor Mike Peavy officiated. Interment was held at Lawnwood Memorial park, Covington, GA.
Drew attended Bethlehem Christian Academy. He loved trains, Mickey Mouse. He was inquisitive about the stars and the moon. He enjoyed eating chicken and shrimp.
James C. Sharp
James C. Sharp, 78, of Monroe died November 19, 2004.
A native of Ashville, NC, he moved to Walton County in 1972 to be affiliated as a lab technician with the Walton County Hospital, after retiring from the U.S. Army. He later was owner of Sharp Trucking Company and later employed by Akin Ford of Winder. He was a member of the Andrews, NC Masonic Lodge, the VFW and Union Chapel United Methodist Church.
Taylor Ansel Bragg, Jr.
Taylor Ansel Bragg, Jr. died on November 19, 2004 at his home in Monroe. He was born in Dooley Co. on December 10, 1916. He was preceded in death by his wife, the late Margaret Dickens “Peggy” Waddell Bragg, parents, the late Taylor and Susie Simmons Bragg of Pinehurst, brother, the late Ernest Bragg of Macon, and sister, the late Agnes McNeill of Perry.

Mr. Buckland was a member of Abuntdant Life Church, Stockbridge, GA and had retired from the Asphalt Construction Business.

Mrs. Kennedy was a native of Telfair County, Georgia. She was a former resident of Thomaston and Long Beach, California. She was a Christian and attended Lighthouse Christian Outreach Center in Monroe, Georgia. Mrs. Kennedy was preceded in death by her parents, Rev E.V. Skipper and Mrs. Sadie Skipper.
