Dr. Charles H. Fitzgerald, 82, of Monroe died September 30, 2004.
A native of Rockdale County, he was a graduate of the University of Georgia where he received his BS, MS and Phd. in forestry. He retired as Professor of Forestry at the University of Georgia. He had served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Funeral services were held Oct. 2, 2004 at the graveside in Orange Hill Cemetery, Hawkinsville, GA.

Grace Betts Bradberry, 76 died September 29, 2004. Born in Jackson County, she was the daughter of the late George and Ina Lavender Betts and widow of Robert D. Bradberry.
Helen D. Allen
Helen D. Allen, 82, of Monroe died September 28, 2004.
A native of Newton, she was the daughter of the late James Darby and Ellen Aaron Darby. The widow of Lewis Felton Allen, she was formerly employed by Oxford Mfg, and Flambeau, Inc. She was a member of Ray Memorial Presbyterian Church.
Funeral services were held September 30, 2004 in Ray Memorial Presbyterian Church. Rev. Gary Lowe officiated and interment was in Hill Haven Memory Gardens.
Nellie McDaniel
Nellie McDaniel, age 94 of Social Circle, died on September 30,2004. She was born on February 19, 1910 to the late Jessie W. Harris and the late Lula Peppers Harris. She was preceded in death by her husband, the late Joe McDaniel, and her daughter, the late Ruth Sims.
Surviving are: Daughters: Runell Parham of Social Circle, and Dorothy Lemonds of Social Circle; Sister: Sudell Adams of Social Circle; Granddaughter: Glenda Berry; Grandsons: Douglas Parham, Gary Lemonds, Wayne Cox, and Dennis Parham; 7 Great Grandchildren; and 4 Great Great Grandchildren. She had three sets of five generations.
Thomas Andrew “Tom” Johnson
Thomas Andrew “Tom” Johnson, 84, of 403 Saco St. husband of Cleo Day Johnson, died Tuesday, Sept. 14, 2004 at National Health Care of Greenwood.
Born in Crawford, Ga. he was a son of the late Tillman O. and Maude Ferguson Johnson.
Local survivors are Janice Widner of Monroe and Jim Niblett of Winder.

A native of Walton County, she was the daughter of the late Emmett Riden Houseman.
The widow of the late Albert Alton Cooper, she resided in Walton County most of her life, resided in Texas for a few years prior to returning to Georgia.
Funeral services were held Sept. 27, 2004 in the chapel of Arthur Bowick Funeral Home. Kenneth Hill officiated and interment was in Hill Haven Memory Gardens.

Mr. Robert Gober Burton, Jr., 74 of Woodhaven Drive, passed away September 23, 2004. Mr. Burton was born in Jacksonville, FL and was the son of Grovene Burton of Athens and the late Robert G. Burton.

Emma Lou Stone Brown, 89, of Loganville, died September 19, 2004. The daughter of the late Ross and Virgin Mary Brand Stowe, and the widow of the late Thomas R. Brown, she was a native of Rockdale County, but had lived most of her life in Monroe.

Sue Y. Goodman, 71, of Conyers, formerly of Walton County died Sept. 18, 2004.
The daughter of the late Eugene A. and Annie Palmer Yancey, she was the widow of Earl Goodman and was a retired bookkeeper.
Remains were cremated. No service was held.
She is survived by several cousins.

Vincent L. Bernard, 90, of Midville, Georgia and formerly of Cedar Falls, Iowa, died Tuesday, November 16,2004, at University Hospital in Augusta, Georgia.
Memorial services were held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, November 27, 2004, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, with Interment at Greenwood Cemetery, both in Cedar Falls.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Patrick Catholic Church.

Annie Ruth Camp Martin
Mrs. Annie Ruth Camp Martin of Loganville died November 27 and would have been 69 years old on November 28. Mrs. Martin was predeceased in death by her husband: Robert Martin; and parents: Mr. and Mrs. Claude (Mamie) Camp; and sister: Mrs. Thomas (Gail) Jones.
Mrs. Martin was born in Walton County and lived there most of her life. She was a member of the Grayson United Methodist Church in Grayson.

James Carnell Sharp, 78, of Monroe died November 19, 2004.
A native of Ashville, NC, he moved to Walton County in 1972 to be affiliated as a lab technician with the Walton County Hospital, after retiring from the U.S. Army. He later was owner of Sharp Trucking Company and later employed by Akin Ford of Winder. He was a member of the Andrews, NC Masonic Lodge, the VFW and Union Chapel United Methodist Church.

Surviving are: Daughter: Barbara Denise Dunn of Austin, TX; Sons and Daughters in Law: Paul and Kathy Dunn of Social Circle, and Michael David and Karen Gibson of Bethlehem; Grandchildren: Ethan Gibson and Sarah Gibson, both of Bethlehem.
