Surviving are Daughters and Son-in-law: Sue and Bill Moseley of Monroe and Shirley Harrison of Monroe; Sister: Dorothy Halleck of McDonough; Brother; Derwood Coats of Decatur; Grandchildren: Tommy Fain of Alpharetta, Shay Wynn of Rome, and Todd Harrison of Jasper; Great Grandchildren: Hunter Fain and Hannah Fain, both of Alpharetta.

George Harold Cown, Sr., age 90 of Loganville died Sunday, August 22, 2004. Funeral Services were held at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday. August 25, 2004 at Chestnut Grove Baptist Church, Grayson. Rev. Thomas L. Jordan, Sr. & Rev. Philip D. Schroeder officiated. Burial followed in the church cemetery. A member of Chestnut Grove Baptist Church in Grayson, Mr. Cown was a farmer and had retired from General Motors. He is survived by: Son and Daughter-in-law; George and TeRessie Cown, Jr., Daughter and Son-in-law: Susan & Tracy Gerard, all of Loganville; 4 Grandchildren, 7 Great Grandchildren, Several Nieces and Nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Chestnut Grove Baptist Church Building Fund, 2299 Rosebud Road, Grayson, Georgia 30017.
Tim Stewart Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Ethel E. Bolinger, 95, of Monroe died Oct, 2, 2004.
A native of Powell Valley, TN, she resided in Athens prior to moving to Monroe in 2001. She was the daughter of Walter Thomas and Nettie Jane Powell. The widow of A. D. Bolinger, she was a retired seamstress and a member of the Monroe First Baptist Church.
Funeral services were held Oct. 4, 2004 in the chapel of Arthur Bowick Funeral Home. Rev. Glen H. Money and Dr. Todd Ware officiated and interment was in Westlawn Memorial Cemetery. Pallbearers were Doug Bowick, Richie Bowick, Herbie Malcom, Jeff Engle, Stephen Malcom and Mitch Malcom.
Harold Franklin Gilbert
Harold Franklin Gilbert, age 83, a native of Morgan Co., died October 4, 2004. He was born January 31, 1921 to the late Thomas Marion Gilbert and the late Fannie Lou Ruark Gilbert.
Mr. Gilbert was a Dairy Farmer, he worked for Walton E.M.C. for 33 years, and Served in the Navy during W.W.II.
Funeral services were held October 7, 2004, 11:00 am, at Gibbs Memorial Baptist Church, Rev. Tom Owens officiated. Interment was held in Bostwick Cemetery.
Harold (Hack) Hanson
Harold (Hack) Hanson, 78, of Monroe died October 3, 2004.
A native of Morgan County, he was the son of the late Jim Spear Hanson and Mattie Lean Hester Hanson Retired from General Motors, he was a veteran of World War II having served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of Union Chapel United Methodist Church.
Funeral services were held Oct. 5, 2004 in the chapel of Arthur Bowick Funeral Home. Rev. Don Malcom officiated and interment was in Union Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were Jeff Hester, Lee Sims and Wayne Hanson. Brad Cox, Bryan Waldrop and Hal Hanson.

J. C. Blasingame, 83, of Monroe died on October 4, 2004. He was born on August 21, 1921 in Walton Co. to the late Corrie Blasingame and the late Nannie Peters Blasingame. He was preceded in death by his wife, the late Martha Peters Blasingame, son, the late James C. Blasingame Jr., and sister, the late Lizzie Belle Smith.
Survivors are Daughter: Leanne Sims of Monroe; Grandchildren: Cole Whitaker, Austin Sims, Anna Leah Sims, all of Monroe.
Larry Adcock
Larry Adcock, 76 of Monroe died Oct. 2, 2004.
A native of Morgan County, he was a son of the late Marshall O. Adcock and Mollie Belle Peters Adcock. He was employed by Defender Services after retiring from General Cable Corp., formerly Anaconda and was a veteran of the Korean War having served in the U.S.Navy. He was a member of the St. Stephen United Methodist Church.
Willie R. Bowman
Willie R. Bowman, age 81 of Monroe died October 3, 2004.
A native of Beardstown, IL, he served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He retired after having beening Vice-President of Operations for poultry processing plants in Illinois and Georgia. He was a member of the Moose Lodge and a member of the Monroe First Assembly of God Church where he served on the board of trustees.
