Mrs. Louise Brown Worley,92,died Thurday (June 20, 2002) at Baptist Village after a lengthy illness.
She was retired with Lavista Road Pharmacy and a member of Mt. Harmony Baptist Church in Mableton.
She was a native of Paulding County and had lived in Dekalb & Cobb County most of her life until moving to Waycross in 1996. She was the daughter of the late John William Brown and Hattie Kiker Brown, her husband was the late Crawford M. Worley.
Survivors included two daughters; Mildred Long husband James of Waycross, Edna Goldsborough husband Roger of Mableton, two sons; James Worley wife Myrtice of Dallas, Fred Worley wife Maxine of Waycross, eight grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren.
A service is planned for 3:00 pm Saturday at Mt. Harmony Baptist Church in Mableton. Burial will be in Mt. Harmony Memorial Garden Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 o'clock Friday evening at Music Funeral Home.

Mr. Thomas J. Moseley, Sr., 79, died Friday night (Dec. 28, 2001) at his residence in Blackshear after an extended illness.
He is a native of Toombs County, but he has lived most of his life in Pierce County. He worked in the terpentine business, and he also retired three years ago from Ace Pole. He is the son of the late James Franklin Moseley and Mary Elizabeth Odom Moseley. He is preceded in death by a son, Archie Moseley and granson, Archie David Moseley.
He is survived by his wife, Maude Moseley of Blackshear; three daughters, Linda DeAngelo of Blackshear, Janice Keen (husband Allan) of Jesup, and Barbara Hagen (husband Lowell) of Bristol; two sons, Tommy Moseley (wife Shirley) of Blackshear, and Lawton Moseley of Blackshear; daughter-in-law, Diane Moseley of Blackshear; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will conducted 11 a.m. Monday (Dec. 31, 2001) at Pine Grove Baptist Church in Blackshear. Burial will follow in Harden's Chapel cemetery in Toombs County. The family will receive friends 6 until 8 o'clock Sunday night at Music Funeral Home.

Mrs. Odessa T. Manson, 73, died Sunday (December 23, 2001) morning in Satilla Care Center following a long illness.
She was a native of Bacon County but had resided in Hilliard, Fla. for the past several years. She was daughter of the late Thomas W. Thomas and Nora Walker Thomas and was preceded in death by a daughter, Joyce Elaine Greene.
The survivors include six daughters, Taressa Lairsey (husband Harry) of Brunswick, Nora Gale Staines (huband Larry) of Hilliard, Fla., Erica Martin (husband Jerry) of Blackshear, Connie Tyre of Brunswick, Cindy Rodriguez of Waycross, Betty Simpson of Logansport, Ind.; a son, James Richard Riddle (wife Mary) of Patterson; three sisters, Peggy Phillips of Taftsville, Conn., Vassie Waters of Alma, Wonnie Mathis of Jennings, Fla.; a brother, Jacob Storey of Newnan; 14 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Monday in the Chapel of Music Funeral Home. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends Monday at the funeral home from 2 until 3 o'clock.

Mrs. Myra Elizabeth Brooks Spence, 84, died early Thursday morning (August 14, 2003) at Baptist Village following an extended illness.
She was a native of Evergreen, AL but had resided most of her life in Waycross. She was married
to the late Rev. Lehman D. Spence and was the daughter of late James Walter Brooks and Elizabeth Johnson Brooks and her stepmother, Mamie Brooks. She was preceded in death by a sister, Vivian Williams and two brothers, Alvin Brooks and Elvin Brooks.
Mrs. Spence was a member of the Georgia Conference of Pentecostal Holiness Church and attended Winona Park United Methodist Church.
The survivors include a daughter, Jann James (husband C.B.) of Waycross; a son, Don Spence (wife Linda) of Mershon; a sister, Vera Lampkin of Evergreen, AL; two half sisters, Voncille Raybon of Mobile, AL, Mary Sexton of St. Augustine, FL; a half brother, Calvin Brooks of Milton, FL; five grandchildren, Robin Spence, Gail Stafford (husband Josh), Mandi Jacobs (husband Jon), Benjie James (wife Dossie), and Jennifer James and two great grandchildren, Kalynne Stafford and Tyler Jacobs.
The family will be receiving friends at Music Funeral Home Friday night at Music Funeral Home from 6 until 8 o'clock. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday at the Brownville Pentecostal Holiness Church in Evergreen, AL. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from 1 until 2 o'clock Sunday.
Music Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements and Cope Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements in Evergreen.

Mr. Charles Sanford Rogers, Jr., 79, died Thursday morning (August 21, 2003) at his residence following a short illness.
He was a native and lifelong resident of Newburgh, NY until moving to Blackshear in 1998. He was a son to the late Charles Sanford Rogers, Sr. and Martha Wesser. He was retired owner and operator of Rogers Trucking Co.
The survivors include a son, Ace Rogers of New York; a special friend, Lucille Tippins of Blackshear; nine step-children, Jessica Corbitt, Joy Drury, and Lonnie McDaniel all of Blackshear, Krissy Tirado, Allen McDaniel, Iris Eastman, Barbara Vogul, and Wayne McDaniel all of Jesup, and Jim McDaniel of Screven; 22 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren.
Memorialization is by cremation.

Mr. Monroe Cunningham, 67, died Wednesday (August 20, 2003) at his residence.
He was a native of Estill, SC but had resided most of his life in Wayne County before moving to Waycross. He was the son of the late Wesley Cunningham and Lucille Bing Cunningham Lyons. He retired in 1997 from the Rayonier Company in Jesup. He was a member of the Saint Peters Baptist Church.
The survivors include his wife, Brownie Cunningham of Waycross; three daughters, Letitia C. Jordan of Charlotte, NC, Lydia C. Boggs of Waycross, Susan Sander-Roberts of Hinesville; a son Monroe L. Cunningham of Charlotte, NC; a step-son, Johnny White, Sr. (wife Lillian) of Waycross; two sisters, Naomi Hicks (husband Randy) of Jesup and Estella Robinson of Plano, TX; four brothers, Leonard Cunningham (wife Almalee) of Rochester, NY, Raymond Cunningham (wife June) of Rochester, NY, A.J. Cunningham (wife Franicine) of Jesup and Tommy Cunningham (wife Barbara) of Alenhurst, GA; devoted aunt, Thelma Cunningham of Screven, GA and Ella Mae Grave of Washington, DC; an uncle, Lynn Bing of Maryland; a brother-in-law, Rev. Mr. Ralph W. Mock, Sr., 76, died Sunday morning (August 24, 2003) at Charlton Memorial Hospital in Folkston after a short illness.
He is a native of Savannah, but he has lived most of his life in Waycross. He resided in Folkston the past 10 years. He is retired from CSX Railroad as a machinist. He also served in the United States Marine Corp.
He is preceded in death by his first wife, Dorothy Gilbert Mock, and his daughter, Linda Stone.
He is survived by his wife, Juanita Mizell Mock of Folkston; two sons, Michael Mock (wife Peggy) of Rock Hill, SC, and R. W. Mock, Jr. (wife Melody) of Waycross; six step-children, Johnny Collins (wife Elizabeth) of Waycross, Diane McLanahan (husband Les) of Summerville, SC, Odell Andrews (wife Regina), Ellis Andrews (wife Novdine), and Odie Andrews all of Alma, and Freddie Andrews (wife Barbara) of Texas; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren; five step-grandchildren and two step-great grandchildren.

She is a native of Brantley County, but she has lived most of her life in Waycross. She was a waitress and homemaker. She was also a member of Philippian Worship Center in Hoboken.
She is the daughter of the late A. B. King and Azalee Jacobs King. She is the wife of the late William J. "Bill" Danforth.
She is survived by her son, Michael Hickox of Alamo; three grandchildren, Sean, Brittany and Kristin; a brother, James King (wife Ruth) of Waycross; a sister, Lea Hiers (husband Frank) of Valdosta; a sister-in-law, Suenell King of Waycross; a step-daughter, Linda Glaser (husband James) of Ft. Pierce, FL; two step-grandchildren, Jared and Hayley; three nephews and a niece.
