Mrs. Lorene Boyd Deal, 74, passed away at Ogeechee Area Hospice Inpatient Center in Statesboro. The Tattnall County native had lived in Daisy most of her life. She was a homemaker and was preceded in death by her daughter, Debra Jordan.
She is survived by two daughters, Glenda Jordan of Daisy and Diane Jordan of Glennville; two sons, Danny Jordan of Statesboro and John Wayne (Bilette) Jordan of Daisy; sister, Barbara Hickman of Grayson, GA; brother, Charles Boyd of Statesboro; ten grandchildren; several great - grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services were conducted on Sunday, June 29, 2008, at the Brewton cemetery in Hagan.
Bradley B. Anderson Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Dellene DeLoach Johnstone, 71

Dellene DeLoach Johnstone, 71, passed away Monday, June 23, 2008, at Lexington Medical Center in Columbia, SC. She was born September 30, 1936 in Claxton, GA to John Slaton DeLoach and the late Lela Vivian DeLoach.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years, James Robert Johnstone of Irmo, SC; children, Walter Johnstone of Raleigh, NC, Jay Johnstone of Irmo, SC and Julie Stephens of Columbia, SC; father, John Slaton DeLoach of Glennville, GA; brother, Bill S. DeLoach of Waynesboro; grandchildren, Andrew Johnstone, Patrick Johnstone, Rachel Stephens and Savannah Stephens.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, June 25, 2008 at 3:00 p.m. at Harmony United Methodist Church with Reverend Truett Leveritt officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
Remembrances may be made to National Kidney Foundation, 30 East 33rd Street, New York, NY 10016.

Dolly Weathers Stanfield, 85

Dolly Weathers Stanfield, 85, passed away Friday, June 20, 2008, at Evans Memorial Hospital. The Evans County native had lived in Glennville most of her life. She was retired from Glenvue Nursing Home as a nursing assistant and a homemaker. She was a member of Northside Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents, Pharis and Mamie Weathers; and brothers, Wilmer, Edward and Eugene Weathers.
She is survived by her husband, Edward Stanfield of Glennville; daughters and sons - in - law, Brenda Powell and Jerry LaRoase of Hinesville and Linda and Danny Johns of Glennville; sons and daughters - in - law, Johnny David and Dot Weathers, Bobby and Carol Weathers, Eddie and Glenda Weathers, all of Glennville and James Weathers and Sue Mitchell of Hinesville; sisters, Sula Wilson of Claxton and Dorothy Groover of Glennville; brother, Albert Weathers of Las Vegas, NV; 14 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 24, 2008, from the chapel of Brannen - Kennedy Funeral Home with Reverend Oscar Rowe Jr. officiating. Burial followed in Glennville City Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Danny Johns, Tommie Powell, Lem Weathers, Robbie Waters, Michael Powell and Bryce Weitman.

Larry L. Stanfield, 68

Larry L. Stanfield, 68, passed away Sunday, June 22, 2008, at his residence. The Tattnall County native had lived in this area most of his life. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and retired from Department of Transportation Engineers.
He is survived by a son, Ashley Stanfield of Claxton; sister and brother - in - law, Barbara and James Sauls of Elgin, SC; brothers and sisters - in - law, Bruce and Jackie Stanfield of Duluth and Russell Stanfield of Louisiana; three nieces and one nephew.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 26, 2008, at 11:00 a.m. from the Chapel of Brannen - Kennedy Funeral Home with Elder Jimmy Haire. Burial will follow in Georgia Veterans Memorial cemetery with Military Honors.
Pallbearers will be Jim Blocker, Jack Blocker, Jerry Blocker, Josh Reynolds, Joe Woods and Reggie Todd.

Retired SSG. Richard (Dicky) Dubberly, 72

Retired SSG. Richard (Dicky) Dubberly, 72, passed away Wednesday, June 11, 2008, at Community Hospice Center in Vidalia. The Tattnall County native retired from the United States Army after more than 20 years of service to his country, serving in Germany and Korea. After retiring from the Army, he lived in California and was employed and retired from the Blue Diamond Almond Company. He was preceded in death by his wife, Helga Dubberly; his parents, Alvin and Helen Dubberly and a brother, Gene Dubberly.
He is survived by his brothers and sisters - in - law, Derrell and Beverly Dubberly of Rincon, Jimmy and Onnie Dubberly of Glennville and Billy Hugh and Geraldine Dubberly of Williamsburg, VA; sisters and brother - in - law, Anne Conner of Vidalia and Libby and C.L. Sapp of Glennville; sister - in - law, Donna Dubberly of Glennville and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 19, 2008, at Brannen - Kennedy Funeral Home in Glennville, with funeral services following at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel. Burial will follow in Georgia Veterans Memorial cemetery with full military honors.

Claude Hutcheson, 92

Mr. Claude Hutcheson, 92, died Thursday morning, June 12, 2008, at Tattnall Health Care Center in Reidsville. The Emanuel County native had lived in the Lynntown Community most of his life. He was a US Army Veteran serving in the South Pacific Campaign. He was retired from Civil Service and farming. Mr. Hutcheson attended the Little Flock Primitive Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years Alma “Bay” Hutcheson of Lynntown; two daughters, Jerri Drury and Brenda Oliver both of Lynntown; a son, Robert L. “Bobby” Hutcheson of Lynntown; six grandchildren, nine great - grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Pallbearers were Lonnie Hutcheson, Keith Graffagnino, Joey Graffagnino, Wilburn Hutcheson, Jack Hutcheson, and Richard Lynn.
Funeral services were conducted on Saturday, June 14, 2008, from the Chapel with Mr. Tony Hutcheson officiating. Interment followed in the Little Flock Church Cemetery.
Bradley B. Anderson Funeral Home served the Hutcheson Family.

Sandra Kirkland, 66

Mrs. Sandra Kirkland, 66, passed away Monday afternoon, June 16, 2008, at East Georgia Regional Medical Center.
The Florida native had lived in this area for most of her life. She was a homemaker and attended the Elza Baptist Church. She loved to cook for her family and will be greatly missed. Mrs. Kirkland is preceded in death by a daughter, Sandy Kirkland.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Buck Kirkland of Bellville; a daughter, Debbie Kirkland of Bellville; five sons and daughters - in - law, Dwane and Tammy Kirkland of Louiville, KY, Jerry and Jeannie Kirkland of Brunswick, Jimmy and Wilda Kirkland of Reidsville, Roger and Brandie Kirkland of Hagan and Joey Kirkland of Bellville; a sister, Jane DeLoach of Collins; ten grandchildren, three great - grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Larry Kirkland, Danny Kirkland, Eddie Kirkland, Randy Kirkland, Timmy Rushing, and Freddie Rushing. Honorary pallbearers were Reidsville Fire Department and Hagan Fire Department.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 19, 2008, with Rev. Jimmy Haire and Rev. Kenneth Green officiationg at the Chapel of Bradley B. Anderson Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Brewton cemetery in Hagan.
Bradley B. Anderson Funeral Home of Reidsville is serving the Kirkland Family.

Corine Lynn, 90

Mrs. Corine Lynn, 90, widow of Harvey Lynn died Wednesday morning, June 11, 2008, at Candler Hospital in Savannah.
Born in Tattnall County, she was retired from 35 years of service from Candler Hospital. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a grandson, Danny Lynn.
She is survived by her son, A. Daniel (Annette) Lynn of Pulaski; two daughters, Jeanette “Jerrie” DeLoach and Bernette (Robert) Collins all of Savannah; a sister, Evelyn Bryant of Lyons; six grandchildren; ten great - grandchildren; three great - great - grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services were held Friday, June 13, 2008, from the Chapel of Bradley B. Anderson Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Owen officiating. Interment followed in the Cedar Creek Cemetery, next to her husband.
Grandsons and great grandsons served as pallbearers.

Heather Ann Mimbs, 17

Heather Ann Mimbs, 17, passed away Thursday, June 12, 2008, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Toombs County. The Carroll County native lived in Tattnall County most of her life. She attended Tattnall County High School. She enjoyed being with family and friends and talking on the telephone. She was a very loving and caring person who loved to help those less fortunate than others. She also enjoyed drag racing. She attended St. Matthews Church of God.
She is survived by her parents, Tommy and Kimberly Mimbs of Reidsville; brother, Lance Blair of Gadson, AL; sisters, Ashley Mimbs of Glennville and Brittni Mimbs of Reidsville; paternal grandmother, Linda Mimbs of Reidsville; maternal grandparents, Debbie and Ronnie Bennett of Carrollton, GA; boyfriend, Matt Maltby of Lyons; grandsan, Aunt Sandy; nephew, Shannon Filkins (Chunky Butt) of Glennville; cousins, Sarah Sternberg of Reidsville, Shannon Mimbs of Reidsville, Chasity McCoy of St. Louis, MO, Chester and Charles Cribbs of Vidalia, Lola Beasley of Lyons, Jay and Cain Cody of Carrollton, GA, and Kate and Luke McGraw of Carrollton; uncles, Cris McGraw of Carrollton, Pete and Sherri Mimbs of Lyons and Johnny and June Mimbs of Reidsville and aunt, Vickie Lee Taylor of Reidsville.
Funeral services were held Sunday, June 15, 2008, from the chapel of Brannen - Kennedy Funeral Home with Reverend Harry Sims and Brother Shannon Mimbs officiating. Burial followed in Mt. Moriah Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Hank Anthony Williams, Little Wayne Martin, Big Wayne Martin, Tony Sikes, Nathan Rogers, Pete Mimbs and Johnny Mimbs.
Brannen - Kennedy Funeral Home, Reidsville Chapel, was in charge of the arrangements.

Keeth Cornelius Thomas, 34

Keeth Cornelius Thomas died Tuesday, June 10, 2008, at 5 p.m. at the Medical Center of Central Georgia. He was born on February 18, 1974, in Metter, GA, to Edna P. Thomas and Ananias Thomas, Jr. He was educated in the Tattnall County School System. He was employed with Bethany Nursing Center and Meadows Regional Hospital of Toombs County. He was joined in holy matrimony to Trenisa Smith on April 21, 2007. He was a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Austin, Georgia.
He is survived by his wife, Trenisa Thomas; one son, Lehmon Thomas; two stepdaughters, Desjanay Smith and Tenajia Tanner; three daughters: Daliea Thomas, Autumn Thomas, and Jameira Lovett; three sons: Keon Thomas, Chandler Byrd, and Kevon Thomas; his mother, Edna P. Thomas, and his father, Ananias Thomas Jr.; two sisters, Roschelle (Timmy) Caswell and Ericka Thomas; one stepsister, Angelica Porter; his mother and father - in - law, Tracey and Lehmon Smith; two sisters - in - law, Tasha Bell and Alysa (Jeffery) Little; six aunts:
Maybell (James) Forrest; Rosetta Nunnally, Gail (Wayne) Grant, Ilene
(James) King, Alfreda Hagan - Stevenson, and Barbara Thomas; five uncles: Grady (Dean) Hagan, Early (Kathy) Hagan, Charles (Harriette) Thomas, Dale (Linda) Thomas, and Alphanzo (Tambra) Thomas; two special friends, Remone Moore and Micheal Jinks, and several other great - aunts, great - great - aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 17, at First African Baptist Church, officiated by the Rev. Clarence E. Boles, Jr. Interment was in Eureka Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Dale Thomas Jr., Christopher Davis, Rico Rogers, Micheal Jinks, Remone Moore, and Eric Moore.
Honorary pallbearers were Deacons of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church.
King and Sons Funeral Home of Glennville, Georgia, was in charge of the arrangements.
