Florence O'Kelley Betcher, 86, of Lynn Haven, Fla., died Thursday, Feb. 17, 2000 in a local nursing home. She had been a resident of Bay County since 1946. She was a retired supervisor for Alatex Shirt Factory and Joy Fashions. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and attended First Presbyterian Church of Lynn Haven with her family. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Joyce and Bruce Yount of Lynn Haven; six grandchildren: Jan Ashe and her husband Perry, Joylyn Rogers, Jonilou Everett, Kathryn McCurdy and her husband Bill, Lisa Daugherty, Jobe Roberts and his wife Loree; twin brother, Lawrence L. O'Kelley of Anniston, Ala., 12 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. in Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Fred Keith officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 5 to 7 p.m. Those desiring to may make a contribution to the youth fund of First Presbyterian Church of Lynn Haven in memory of Florence Betcher.

ELIZABETH A. HORNER
Mrs. Elizabeth A. Horner, age 62, of Laguna Beach, Fla., passed away Thursday, Feb. 17, 2000 after a lengthy illness. She was born in Elizabeth, Pa. Mrs. Horner served in the U.S. Army from 1955-1956 where she met and married her husband of 42 years, Richard A. Horner. She had been a resident of Panama City Beach since 1983, moving here from Enterprise, Ala. She was also a member of the First Baptist Church of Panama City Beach. Mrs. Horner is survived by her husband, CW2 Ret. Richard A. Horner Sr. of Laguna Beach, Fla.; a son, Richard A. Horner Jr. and his wife Sue of Ozark, Ala.; a daughter, Diana D. Horner Hyden and her husband Ronald of Inlet Beach, Fla.; a brother, Harry Welch and his wife JoAnn of McKeespoprt, Pa.; grandchildren: Jessica Lees, Jamie Lees, Joshua Rowe, Ashley Horner, Anaistasia Hyden, Rheanna Hyden, Amy Horner and Devin Hyden; niece, Kim Welch; nephews: Nathan Welch and Matthew Welch. She was preceded in death by a son, Thomas H. Horner, and a daughter, Nedera L. Horner Rowe. Memorial services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 20, at Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jerry Weaver officiating.

Graveside funeral services for Calvin D. Howrigan, 74, of Palmetto, Fla., who died Feb. 6, 2000 in a Bradenton, Fla. hospital, will be held today at 2 p.m. in Oakland Cemetery with Dr. John Brannon officiating.

BRIAN K. INGRAHAM
Mr. Brian K. Ingraham, 43, of 323 Allen Ave., died Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2000 in a local hospital after an extended illness. He was a native of Milwaukee, Wis., but had been a resident of Panama City for a number of years. He was the beloved son of Robert and Roberta Ingraham. He is survived by his parent, Robert and Roberta Ingraham; brothers: Dan R. Ingraham, Scott Ingraham and wife Diane and Patrick Ingraham. Memorialization by Cremation. The family will receive friends for visitation at their residence of 323 Allen Ave. today, Feb. 19, from 3 to 7 p.m.

Mrs. Lucille R. Hessler, age 86, of 328 Moore Drive, Lynn Haven, Fla., died Friday, Feb. 18, 2000 at her residence. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. today, Feb. 21, at Evergreen Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Don Shoots officiating. Interment will follow.

LUCILLE BAXTER HOLLEY
Lucille Holley, a 19-year resident of Mexico Beach, Fla., died in Gulf Pines Hospital in Port St. Joe on Sunday morning, Feb. 20, 2000. She is survived by a sister, Eunice Meeks of North Syracuse, N.Y.; daughters and son-in-laws, Kandace and Bruce Smith of Wewahitchka, Fla., and Karen and Thomas Taylor of Portland, Ore.; daughter, Carol Lewis of Los Angeles, Calif.; four grandchildren: David Lewis, Randall Lewis, Ann-Marie Haun and Holly Rennert. Lucille was a member of the Mexico Beach UMC, sang in the choir and enjoyed playing the piano in area nursing homes. She greatly loved the Lord and now resides with Him in heaven. We want to thank all the staff at Gulf Pines Hospital for its kind and compassionate services. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. CST Wednesday, Feb. 23, at the United Methodist Church in Mexico Beach, Fla., with the Rev. Ted Lovelace and the Rev. Bruce Smith officiating. Any donations may be directed to your favorite charity. All arrangements were handled by Comforter Funeral Home.

MAUD BELL HOLMES
Mrs. Maud Bell Holmes, age 89, of 24 Harrison Ave. Apt. 110, Panama City, Fla., passed away Saturday, Feb. 19, 2000 at Gulf Coast Medical Center. She was a lifelong resident of Panama City, Fla. She was best known for 52 years by fishermen and hunters as the "High Sheriff of Sandy Creek". Mrs. Holmes is survived by her daughter, Donna Holmes Ewing of Jacksonville, Fla.; son, Stewart I. Holmes of Panama City, Fla.; sister, Della Scott of Alford, Fla.; five grandchildren: Summer Bell Tuggle, Stephanie Lovciz, Jay Holmes, Shain Davis and John Ewing; five great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 2:30 p.m. today, Feb. 21, at Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Adolph Bedsole and Dr. Bob Johnson officiating with interment to follow in Millville Cemetery. Asked to serve as active pallbearers are: Wayne Jones, Willard Sellars, David Moody, Roy Conrad, Jack Branning, Alf D. Cushing Sr. Honorary pallbearers include the Ruth Sunday School Class of Immanuel Baptist Church. Family will be staying at the home of her granddaughter, Summer Tuggle, 5947 Piza Circle, Youngstown, Fla., 722-1103.

Mr. John T. Pippin, age 89, died Saturday, Feb. 19, 2000 at a local nursing home. He has been a resident of Panama City, Fla. since 1941, moving here from Chipley, Fla. He was a member of Piney Grove Primitive Baptist in Headland, Ala. He was a retired oiler from International Paper Company of 34 years. He is survived by his wife, Lillian Pippin of 53 years; sons, J. Wayne Pippin and wife Marti of Panama City, Fla., and Rex J. Pippin of Panama City, Fla.; daughters, Janie P. Gilchrist of Pensacola, Fla., and Susie P. Jones and husband Roger of Panama City, Fla.; grandsons: Shane Pippin of Panama City, Fla., Shone Jones and wife Sheri of Phenix City, Ala., Kris Jones of Panama City, Fla.; granddaughters: Alison Pippin of Pensacola, Fla., Shawna Pippin of Panama City, Fla., Jennifer Carr and husband Nathan of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Tiffany Jo Gilchrist of Pensacola, Fla.; great-grandchildren: Carla Marie Pippin of Panama City, Fla., Shoni and Shaelin Jones of Phenix City, Ala. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2000 at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with Elder Thomas Earl Bond and Elder Walter Todd officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today, Feb. 21 from 6 to 9 p.m. Asked to serve as active pallbearers are: Rufus Bond, Bruce Bond, Dennis Bond, Nealy Johnson, Delano Suggs and Billy Pippin.
